Had a problem with them on an order and was pretty unhappy. The owner personally reached out to me to make amends. They def earned back my business.

Not a good experience. Took our business computer in first thing yesterday. The guy working the front desk promised we’d have it by end of the day today. We didn’t want to leave it without that assurance. Called this afternoon and they hadn’t even STARTED on it! Said it would be TWOMOREDAYS!!! Now I have to take it somewhere else… NOTHAPPY!!!

I took advantage of the free diagnostic offer on the store page to confirm my suspicions about a custom build I put together. The store is very clean, and everyone I have spoken to has been friendly. They pay attention to what you are saying, and as a result, you receive answers in a way that isn’t insulting. Whereas I was having to discuss the problems my computer was exhibiting, I heard other customers simply describe their problems as «my computer is loud like a fridge.» Despite the vague explanation, the man at the front desk was very friendly, which left a good impression with me. Tech support is much like automotive work in that you have to place faith in the work and workers to be honest if you aren’t well versed, and from my experiences thus far, I would easily recommend these folks to anyone that can’t seem to troubleshoot their own issues.

It is critical my computer is operational for my work. My computer went on the fritz this past Saturday about noon. I tried a few things, only making the problem worse then tried to find an emergency computer repair service in Dallas. I spoke to several companies only to be told that the first available emergency repair was Monday. That was too late for me. I «Yelped» Geek On Wheels, called and spoke to Madison. I was a bit tense at this point and she calmed me down, «sure we can help,», she told me about a helpful technician who didn’t mind working overtime in an emergency. I raced to Denton where they are physically located to save Michael the trip to Dallas, which, I might add, he would have done. At their shop, Michael calmly assured me he would fix my computer problems. By the way, I knew I had a problem for over a year which I chose to ignore because it wasn’t interfering with my work, until it did on Saturday. He has gotten me up and running in time to meet some critical work deadlines. He even brought the computer to my house. Am so very grateful to have found Geek On Wheels and Michael in particular. He is one of the most personable, competent, and helpful computer technicians I’ve ever encountered. Horrible experience. not only did the NOT fix the problem, they lost crucial data in their attempt and then proceeded to charge me full price. I would NEVER recommend them to anyone. definitely NOT a business… the data they lost cost my company untold thousands of dollars — perhaps more.

I’ve brought a couple of different laptops to these folks over the past 2 – 3 years. Every time, they fix the error, call me with results, and charge what I think is a reasonable fee for the services and parts. I used to think I had to scrap a misbehaving laptop. Now I take my machines to these folks. I also get the sense that they don’t try to upsell things you don’t need, so that gives me confidence in their services. Sure, I wish I was better technically so I could do this stuff myself. Reality being what it is, I need someone’s help, and these folks are quite good.

Certainly not a horrible overall experience, yet when I took my laptop in for repairs the communication was terrible. I was told 1 week which kept adding weeks every time I called(with no explanation of the problem) until I finally asked for it back 5 weeks later. I received little followup and had a much better experience with TACC.
