Extremely slow. Went in on a Sunday and we’re out of sesame bagels. I find that odd you are out of a main product. Not a friendly crew. Food just can’t make up for bad service and poor management. They really need someone running this place that understands the restaurant business. Too bad too this place could be a gold mine. I may open my own

They really do have the best cinnamon rolls in Texas, and good coffee from jupiter house. The bagels are okay but the star is the cinnamon roll and coffee.

So yummy! I had the #2 on a plain bagel. The tomatoes were so fresh on my sandwich I was totally impressed! Good price for the size of the sandwich and it was very quickly prepared! I’ll defiantly be back!

bad experience. I love bagels and lox, but their salmon is horrible. never seen shredded salmon like that on a bagel. their bagels are nowhere near Einsteins. needless to say, I won’t be going back.

Everything I have had here was crazy good. The bagels here will turn even the most die hard Einstein’s fan into a Royal’s Bagels fanatic. Bacon egg and cheese bagel with garlic shmear? Awesome. Number 8 on an everything bagel? YUM, that garden shmear is good enough to eat with a spoon. But the cinnamon rolls? Out of this world delicious. I don’t even like cinnamon rolls and I want a pan of these as my birthday cake next year. The service has always been good, even on a busy Saturday morning. Reasonable prices for the amount of food you get and there is something for everyone!

That darn cinnamon roll deserves a 5 all on its own; it was the best I’ve ever had(granted I don’t eat a lot of cinnamon buns, but still). It was buttery and delicious and warm and lovely and amazing and holistic healing to my soul. And to think I almost didn’t get it. $ 3.75 but big and apparently made with either love or crack, so I think you should go for it. Tried the #13 salmon, capers, tomatoes & schmear on an «everything» bagel. Also sampled the #20 turkey, tomato, avocado, and swiss on a garlic bagel with schmear. The bagels are a good size and the flavors were tasty. I’d say the bagels are more, «okay» than«oh my word» but still tasty. If I remember, the price point is around $ 7 for a bagel sandwich. The atmosphere is nice and relaxed… several people were working on their laptops(indication of free wifi maybe?)…it has that sort of vibe to the space. Two words though… Cinnamon Roll. High five to Royal Harrison(the owners’ son and the shop’s namesake) for making sure they crank out amazing buns; you’re a rockstar buddy.

I hate to give any restaurant one star review. They’re hard to run and a risky investment. However, if a menu item borders on bait-and-switch I lose my good humor fast. At Royal’s Bagels, salmon does not mean lox. Salmon does not mean nova salmon. On my #13 the«salmon» was dry and tasteless, served with a little chopped onion and no capers. There’s a strange brown backing on the salmon like the edible thin casing on a Slim Jim that obviously wasn’t salmon skin. When I saw #13 was only $ 8.50 I guess I should have asked to see the salmon(but who would do that?) because $ 8.50 is too cheap. Smoked salmon/cream cheese with sliced tomato, capers and thinly sliced red onion on a bagel is usually $ 11.50 — $ 15.50, sometimes a little more. If something is priced that much lower, there’s a reason. The cinnamon rolls are much celebrated, but on ours cream frosting had been whipped too long, almost into sweet butter. Maybe it was just an off day for those.

The bagel sandwiches are always good, the bagels and schmear hit the spot whenever I’m craving a good bagel, but the real star of the show is their cinnamon rolls. They really are the bomb.

This place is a better Einstein’s with savory bagels and the best cinnamon rolls I’ve ever had. I strongly suggest getting the cinnamon roll with extra frosting because that is what makes it what it is — the best! These things are so fattening you’ll feel like you’re pregnant with a food baby. but that just means there’s more to love, right? We got the number 3 and 8 egg sandwich bagels and they were huge! I got the number 8 on a sun dried tomato bagel and it was so good. I think the garden schmear and avocados made it taste so good. The number 3 has mushrooms which also makes it super yum. Ordering was fast and easy — just go up to the front to place your order and they will bring you your food later. Shuweet

Went into Royal Bagel on Sunday morning(7÷5÷15), excited about getting a bagel. Showed up at 7:50am and after walking into the store, was very disappointed after being told that they will not be opening until 8:30am. The ‘open’ sign was on, the door said they opened at 7:30, as did the website that I checked before leaving the house. No apology, no explanation(though I could assume that a late 4th of July could be the culprit) just a ‘come back later’. Went down the street to someone who was open as advertised and wanted my business. I won’t be back.

Great breakfast tacos and cinnamon rolls. Wish they had more options of coffee. Very cute and clean place!

Great bagels and STRONG coffee with a great atmosphere. They have a variety of bagels and shmears… and they are all delish. They also have different sandwich combos that are all great. And don’t get me started on the cinnamon rolls. They are a little on the higher prices side, but I think you are getting great portions and you won’t leave feeling ripped off.

Easily the best cinnamon role I’ve eager tasted. Really good bagel sandwiches too. If you call ahead you can preorder a tray of mini cinnamon rolls.

Nice person that took my order, very helpful. I wanted a salt bagel but they do not have those… They do have several flavors and they have bagel breakfast sandwiches which are very good. I had a jalapeño bagel with green chili schmeer and it was super tasty. I bought 2 cinnamon rolls and they were okay but just not super moist and not really full of flavor couldn’t hardly taste cinnamon. I don’t think I would get one again. It’s not a very accommodating place to sit and enjoy your food more of just an order and to go.

Went for the first time this afternoon after a long time of wanting to try it. I got the #8 on an everything bagel and it was so good! I see that I should’ve tried the cinnamon roll but I definitely will next time now that I know how good the place is. Will be coming back for sure the best time in town!

The owner was there and personally took my order. Extremely friendly and treated everyone like his best friend. The sandwiches were great but what really stood out was their cinnamon rolls. They claim to have the best cinnamon rolls in denton or Texas, and it’s true. They are amazing. It was a little pricey for my likings but all the food was good.

Look, you really only need to get the Cinnamon Roll and some Iced Tea from this place. And that’s all they really need to be selling.

Love the variety this adorable shop offers. Even so, I always get the salmon bagel. It comes with capers and garden shmear, with a few slices of tomato. A little bit on the expensive side, the bagels are packed to fill you up and I generally leave with half a sandwich for lunch. The coffee could be better, or a choice of dark or light might be nice, but overall I adore this little breakfast/brunch spot.

A brand new place in Denton… woo hoo! A little while back a bagel and donut place opened up at 380 and loop 288(attached to a new Subway) but I haven’t heard much about it. Royal’s Bagels opened just yesterday(Feb 18th) in what used to be the second store for Jupiter Coffee house, next door to Comet Cleaners and Pizza Inn. First off it’s a welcoming atmosphere, clean, whitewashed bench booths and chairs, signage for bagels, the menu and thanking Denton, metal buckets used for light shades and rows of poppy seed and various other bagels. And of course cinnamon rolls! I got there just as they were closing up for the day(6am to 2pm) but managed to get in and get a sandwich. I’m picky when it comes to bagels. Outside of New York, New Jersey and CT, I have never had a good bagel. So I guess I’m a snob but heck, New York City is the mecca when it comes to a good bagel, so there are very, very high standards. They have a good variety of everything. Egg sandwiches, regular sandwiches and salads. You can get a basic bagel and shmear for only $ 2. They have quite a few choices on both. Egg, Sesame, Onion, Blueberry, Poppy, Chocolate Chip, Cinn Raisin, Cranberry, 8-Grain, Wheat Bran & Oats, Pumpernickel and Jalapeño. As for the Shmears they have, Plain, Garlic, Blueberry, Garden, Strawberry, Chipotle, Green Chile, Maple Pecan and Curry Mango. So they have a wide range. They also have bread, Flatbreat, Sourdough, Marble Rye and Wheat Berry. Cinnamon rolls are $ 3.50 each and are big and covered in frosting. Each bagel is $ 1.75, and they have a special of six bagels plus shmear for $ 10. All the sandwiches and salads are in the $ 6 – 9 range. So pretty inexpensive. I had a #11, which is a chicken sandwich with bacon, lettuce, tomato and the green chile shmear. I had it on sourdough. They ran out of bacon… so sad. But I added cheddar cheese. Sandwich was good and creamy but I wanted more green chile taste and the bacon would have added another texture… plus bacon. So I was bummed about that. The staff was friendly and several asked me how the food was and if there was anything they could improve on. They were making extra bacon for tomorrow. I will at some point try a bagel. They were big, which is a good thing. Places like Einstein make a pretty small bagel and charge a bit too much for what you are getting, so hopefully this place will do well, and maybe, just maybe it might compare to those in the the northeast. Support Denton businesses and I wish this place good luck.
