Papa Murphy’s Take ‘N’ Bake Pizza

Since it is take and bake pizza, I’m rating the staff and the value. The staff are friendly and efficient. The store wasn’t skimpy with the toppings either. Plenty of cheese and meats.

It took me years before I finally decided to try Papa Murphy’s and boy have I been missing out. This is the best take-​out pizza there is. I had trouble agreeing with the concept of paying for a pizza that I have to cook but I actually now prefer this method — it allows me to pick up the pizza at any time of day and just warm it up for dinner instead of heading to the pizza place at dinner time when they are busy and then rush home with a hot pizza.
The pizza itself is so good and flavorful. I prefer the thin crust Mediterranean chicken pizza. It has a lot of herbs and sun dried tomatoes and the flavor is just perfect. The thin crust has a nice firm texture but not too crispy so it can still be folded.
My only gripe is that their printed coupons don’t seem to be valid for online orders.

Don’t go to the Papa Murphy’s at this location — there’s one in Flower Mound and one on University in Denton and those are both WAY better than the Teasley location. The Teasley location has a guy working there that’s super friendly but don’t be fooled — he’s totally gypping you right in front of your face. He puts like 3 shreds of cheese and a few pepperonis on your pizza and by the time you take it home and bake it, it comes out all crust. I got a Family Size original-​crust pepperoni pizza this past Saturday (thinking, of course, it would feed a FAMILY) but we all ended up having to go out to eat anyway because no one would touch this topping-​less, crust-​only pizza. Everyone said, «you would have been better off getting a DiGiorno.»

Great pizza, good value. Perfect for the kids when we have a sitter. Their cheesy bread is only $ 4 and is plenty for my 2 little ones. Always consistent quality.

This is a review for take out pizza, so consider that when you read this review. This store gets the orders right, gives a proper amount of toppings, and is careful to make sure that the toppings are fresh. I prefer this store to the other branches of the same company. It isn’t a fancy pizza chain, but we get a great product and what we expected to get, which is important when you have two picky and hungry kids waiting at home.

I stopped off at the Hickory Creek location on my way home from work, but there’s allegedly a Denton location on University I’ll have to check out, since that’s much closer to me!
This is SO much better than any frozen pizza, and come to think of it, probably better than most of the pizza choices around town! I opted for the deLite (thin) crust, as the pizzas were $ 5 each as opposed to $ 9.99 for the thicker crust. What a steal. There’s definitely some zing going on in the tomato sauce that really gives it a unique taste (and I mean that in the best way possible).
I’m curious to try the stuffed pizzas, but I’m sure I’ll be back the next time I’m in the mood for pizza. Very easy on the wallet and super yummy.

Customer service is great even though its usually younger people working. Pizza is amazing (stuffed is the best). Never had it til a few weeks ago and we are now Papa believers!

While I’ll admit I haven’t had pizza from all those exotic places like New York City (I have had it in Chicago, though), this is the best pizza I know of. Great fresh ingredients and lots of them. Crust is really good as is the sauce. We usually get the Papa’s Favorite, but have had the de-​lite as well as plain cheese and pepperoni. Salads and dessert items are pretty good too. Sometime wish they came to your door precooked, like on a cold or rainy night, but the freshness and the fact that you take it hot out of your own oven make up for the slight inconveince of going to pick it up. Oh, and the price is right, too.

For quick and easy pizza nothing beats this place! I frequent this location for a quick meal when I don’t have time to cook, but still want the taste and quality of a home cooked meal. Being a vegetarian some times pizza can be limiting, but they truly have a great selection of vegetables that always delight!

Great thin crust pizza! Crust gets crispy and holds the toppings. The de-​lite crust is the best! Great array of toppings too, creative even! Take home and when you are ready… you have pizza, fresh ingredients, great sauce and hot from the oven!

Hard to best if you have the time and an oven. Fresh, tasty, reasonable.

This is the place to go, if you don’t like preparing your own food and want to make a big impression while entertaining people with a well puttogether meal! All you do is go here to order what you want, and they prepare it for you to take it home and put it in your ‘own’ oven ;-) It’s a bachelors dream, because everyone will think that you prepped it yourself when you bring your meal home, then have people come over and they see you putting it in the oven. Best results, are to have seasons spices, tomatos and other vegetables left out on the counter ~ lmao! (But it really gets you good impressions!)

This is the best pizza you’ll ever have! You’ll be amazed that it came out of your own oven! They make it there to order right in front of you, and you bake it at home so it’s always fresh and hot! Their crust is fantastic, as is their cheese. My wife raves about their sauce. This stuff is so good you just won’t believe it! After having this we can’t even consider going to another pizza place!

I went to Denton to visit a friend this weekend and she said let’s go pick up pizza for the kids for lunch. I was like okay. So we drive over to Papa’s and order two pizzas. One large cheese and one large chicken, dried tomatoes and spinach pizza (30% less fat, 40% less calories for the chicken pizza). It was called a chicken herb delite pizza.
There concept is you order what you want, they wrap it up with directions and you take it home and bake it for like 15 minutes. I wasn’t expecting a lot from this pizza joint but let me tell you, OMG, this was one of the best pizzas I have ever had!
The crust was super thin but not cracker thin. Perfect ratio of toppings, cheese and crust. The cheese pizza was delicious too. I couldn’t even tell that the herb chicken was less fat and calories. Sign me up for a pizza that is healthier for you yet taste fattening ;)
This is a pretty good concept. Great toppings, everything tasted super fresh, friendly employees. It’s a winner!
