This place is so awesome, look no further for a delicious sub! Me and my gf found out about this place like last year and we come here about once a week, our faves are the #1, a simple and classic turkey sub, and the chicken salad, best chicken salad you’ll ever have in your life. We also like to have our subs on whole wheat(the bread is so good), toasted, with everything on it and jalapeños on the side for some extra spice and flavor. This place won’t disappoint, and it is in close proximity to the UNT campus making it convenient, and a bonus for college students, it is a fairly priced place. If you want simple and fresh, this is the place to go.

This is the BEST sub shop in Denton. The bread is freshly made and tastes amazing. I eat their chicken salad sandwich on wheat bread about 3 times a week… minimum! Everyone is polite, attentive, and great. I want to marry sub hub. They are affordable, fresh, and amazing for your soul.

Stopped by while in the area. Nice set up, good price, and clean. Bread was good but was not impressed with the BLT. It had that paper thin bacon and was a waste. I can see using that thin«bacon» as a accent to a club or something but if it’s the main ingredient, get some real bacon. Will be back again if in area but will NOT get the BLT.

Cute place, very friendly service, and good sandwiches, but not such a stand out that I’d come running back or recommend. Would eat there again, if convenient. The whole sandwich is quite large.

Very cool looking place and serves beer, but the food is very average. I used Unilocal to pick it, as I am from out of town, so not sure if I my taste buds are different than the 4.5 average star rating. The bread was very thick and overwhelmed the sandwhich. Service was solid and again the ambiance is cool, but not a place will I visit again.

My favorite sandwich place in Denton. Food is always rad. Super fast. Great prices. I ate their sandwich so fast one time I forgot to breathe. I am now a ghost. It was worth it.

WAYYYYY better staff than the University location! The #11 is my favorite. Anything you order here is amazing and all the meat is freshly sliced when you order. I no longer go to the other location, the staff is awful there. Ave. C is the best!

This place is just as good as it was 20 years ago! Swear the prices haven’t changed that much since then too! Always get the same sub(their version of an Italian). Can’t imagine why anyone would go to one of the chain sandwich places when you have this available! Fresh food and friendly service!

I freaking love this little delicious sandwich joint. Hot sandwiches, cheap and fast. What more could a one-hour-lunch kinda gal need? Walkable to UNT campus.

Food is cheap and very delicious. Unfortunately the staff is extremely rude. It seems like they’re all being forced to work there, and it shows to their customers.

Just finished dinner from NYSH. It was so great! The wheat bread was flavorful and a little sweet. My boyfriend had the 7 and I had the 9. Both were amazing. Just smelling the sandwiches was all we needed to do to know that we’d be coming back. The guys working the line were also very nice and helpful. Definitely going back.

Being from the NJ/NYC area I gotta say this subs are way better than the ones in NYC and parts of NJ! I tried a few so far but my favorite is the #20 «All Stops On NYSW»

I randomly drove here after class and walked in to an quite restaurant with maybe two or three customers. I never been here before but boy am I glad I came here! These sammiches are Oh MY Goodddd amazing!!! Seriously, Subway who??? Bread is so fresh, soft and gives you the same happiness as a croissant would! A guy who makes the sandwiches are so friendly and helpful. Menu is huge so I did not know what to get. He suggested their most popular items on the menu. I got the turkey-bf ham! Yummy yummy yummy! Not pricey either. Perfect for quick lunch or dinner after school :) Inside is well designed and cozy. I love the corner wooden chairs, gives you the privacy or a nice study area if you need it. Good job guys, you will definitely see me again.

When I visit I’m always up for a whole #12. So far its the best sub I’ve found in Denton. The staff is always friendly and the environment is relaxing. Pricing seems just a tad high but its comparable with subway. A 12″ sub and a drink runs you about $ 9. I’ve eaten here probably 20 times was only disappointed once(because my sandwich wasn’t toasted). If you like sub’s its worth checking out. Also all the NY décor is really neat.

I got the turkey pastrami which was pretty good. The prices are pretty cheap for all of the sandwiches. The bread taste really good but it gets soggy fast from the juice of the tomatoes and dressing. Still not the best sandwich place in Denton. The boars head on campus at unt is a lot better. And is this place only for middle aged white men?! I walked in and everyone who was sitting down eating was a middle aged white male and stared at me like I was a ghost! If you go make sure to dress up like a middle aged white male so you will blend in and won’t get dirty looks.

I have seen colleagues come back to the office with cups from this place so I finally decided to give it a try when my friend and I were looking for lunch. We hit a winner! I has a smoked turkey sub combo and it was less than $ 10. I also added bacon to the sammie for 90 cents extra. The combo came with chips and a drink. The sub was quite tasty. The sandwich has fresh veggies and a special sauce. I have added to my lunch list.

Simply the best. Been eating here for 30 years. I live about 20 miles away but eat here at least 10 times per year. Can’t beat the bread, great tuna. Other shops don’t hold a candle to «the sub».
