Having frequented the Harvest wine bar to support our friends who entertain at this venue we will never step foot in this place again after tonight. Super rude manager! A total A.H. The food was never that great but we put up with it to see our friends play. And it’s expensive. They would benefit from appreciating local support. Never again

Swung in here on date night, since it looked like a date-night kinda place. Gotta say, it’s nice to see a wine bar hidden away in an area that is mostly kitschy seafood shacks. Layout is cute, but cramped. There was live music, and Joe and I almost walked out after standing awkwardly at the door waiting for anyone to acknowledge us. Seriously. Joe had opened the door and stepped out, when a guy ran up with a menu and asked if we wanted to take a look. Beyond that though, I disagree with other Unilocalers that the service sucks. Our waitress was attentive and smiley; her wine recommendation was good. Food was out quickly. Unfortunately I also disagree with Unilocaler’s opinions on the quality of the food. Vegetarian alert! We only did the panini and a pizza, but I found both to be oily and heavy on the pesto without much else as far as flavor. I felt a little blech later that night actually, and I think it was from the grease. I was also surprised at the limited menu – that can be nice when you’re doing small plates or tapas, but this was a lot of sandwiches, etc. Kind of felt more like a lunch café then a dinner place. Also their cheese flights were a joke. The«white cheese plate» literally comes with one cheese. Can you legally call that a cheese plate? A glass of wine, a mixed drink, a sandwich, and a personal pizza came to $ 45. Not too bad, imo. All in all, I doubt I’d go back to Harvest Gallery, but I would recommend it to omnivore friends going on a first date or something like that! Low key and pleasant, while still feeling a little classy!

The two stars are for the tasty food and great local musicians. The guys behind the bar are absolutely awful, including the owner. Indifferent, inattentive and you get the feeling that being a bartender is beneath their real calling as artists or something. Do these guys ever smile or what? Their customers were having fun and they looked miserable. We’ve been going there for years and the other night waited 30 minutes at the bar with an average crowd to get noticed. Our food was literally tossed in our direction and the guy walked away without a glance. Never asked about another drink, no follow up on the food, nada. We’ve put up with the pretentiousness for a while but will consider other options now, which is a shame. But I’ll take an average place with friendly service over a great place that makes me feel unwelcome every time.

I am a huge fan of this place. I can’t believe after living on Cape for 5+ years I have never tried this place before. Great wine selection and menu. I had a Pinot Noir and the soba noodle salad. The soba noodle salad was a perfect portion and so delicious. I have been craving the thai peanut dressing ever since. This place is great for a relaxing night with friends or a date night. Apparently they have live music every weekend which was great while we were there. It’s a small place with a cute bar and dining room area which you walk right into when you open the door. It’s a different vibe from that of most Cape bars which was a breathe of fresh air. Definitely check it out if you are anywhere near Dennis.

Great place for a quick glass of wine or full bar. Music is a little loud, but sit out in the greenhouse and it is much nicer.

Because the music is early and wonderful(have been catching the marvelous Chev and Frank Tuesdays 6 – 9). Because they always make me feel welcome even when they’re slammed. Because the menu is creative, partly local, and accessibly priced. Because the art is interesting and sometimes thrilling. And because the food is always just right– delicious. I love this place. Go and see for yourself!

Had an Old Fashioned that wasn’t the best. Atmosphere is great with live music and art on the wall. Have a good selection of beer as well. I’d go again, but have wine or beer.

I’ve been here a few times now and the food is consistently delicious. Yummy combinations of local produce. The boyfriend was unhappy that his oysters had shells in them — rookie shucking. A spastic greeter — not sure if he was an employee or an inebriated patron — graciously held the door while complimenting our creative parking job. The venue is small and tricky to find if you’re not a local. The two stars for this review is all about service. We had the worst server imaginable. It took over 20 minutes to get her attention. While we waited for our drinks and apps, she complained loudly to the few other patrons about how slow it was. Ignoring the people that do show up is just plain bad business and may explain why her shifts are slower. We had intended on staying for a few more drinks but she dropped the check while we were eating and came back several times to see if we’d paid yet — not exactly generating a warm fuzzy feeling. I can ignore a bad day but every time we go, the bar staff makes me feel unwelcome. It’s a pity as they have great local music and I do like the food.

The place to go for dinner before a show at the Cape playhouse and after the show for a nightcap and some good music! The citrus marinated olives were a perfect appetizer with our wine and the soba noodle salad and taco salads were fresh and delicious. We finished our meal with the flourless chocolate cake and coffee. Best coffee, EVER! We returned after the play for a nightcap and to enjoy the live music. Great vibe! We will be back.

This place is near impossible to find. It’s set back a little from the road and the sign is essentially invisible from the road in the dark at night. We sat down at the bar on a not so crowded Sunday evening and were basically ignored for long enough that we just decided to leave. They had 4 beers and 6 wines on tap and an interesting looking cocktail list, but unfortunately we didn’t get to taste anything.

Chandler Travis jamming on a blustery early evening, cold Guinness and Cape Cod Porter, 99 cent local oysters and a lovely mozz, tomato panini with avocado… love this place.

Friendly staff, tasty drinks, great music, good food, pretty art on the walls… Harvest is a home away from home for me. They now have a full liquor license, so add mixed drinks to the beer & wine mix. Food is simple, using fresh ingredients(local as much as they can get them) and well prepared.

It’s a little pricey, but worth it for a cosy atmosphere, really good food and, the night I was there, terrific music(Chandler Travis Three-O). The seafood charcuterie plate was very good, the raw oysters were terrific and the kale salad was superb. I asked for the housemade kimchi instead of the cheese, thinking they’d put it on the side, but it was sprinkled on top, and it was actually quite the flavor sensation. Sort of strange to get plastic utensils with such refined cuisine, however. The audience was very convivial, two birthdays in the house and everyone seemed to be in a friendly and celebratory mood. It was more like being invited to a good party than being a customer in a bar.

We went here the other night(a Thursday) around 9:30. The wine & atmosphere was great– as usual. HOWEVER, at 10:02 we attempted to order a plate of antipasto, but were told the kitchen was closed. Nevermind that the kitchen normally closes at midnight; as we were leaving(at 11:30), who comes out from the kitchen with a hot panini and fries for herself? The waitress. Of course. This used to be my favorite place, but after this little incident, I’d rather just go to Pain D’Avignon, or Scargo.

Good place for a glass of wine and to listen to local musicians. Busy night so service was a little slow but I’d go again

Love this place. Staff is incredibly nice and food pairs well with their reasonable, varied wine list. Live music makes for a special spot.

Horrible Service. Would be four star if it wasn’t for the guy in charge. How do I know he was in charge because he pointed at his chest and told me he was in charge.

Harvest is the kind of place you wish were in your town. Its a place to go and meet friends for an amazing, eclectic glass of wine and some delicious light bites. As far as vegan goes, they are super accommodating and their salads are amazing! Live music tops it off, my favorite is any acoustic that is playing. The ambiance so so swanky, you definitely don’t feel like you are on the Cape. Its sophisticated and classy and right on the mark. Harvest is my go to place, every time!

I got dragged out to this place by a friend who wanted to hear the artist that was playing that night. I even had to leave a Sox game early, so you KNOW that was a sacrifice! But how lucky I was! I do not have much experience with wine bars, not being much of a fan of the grape. But the food here was incredible, the wine actually worth trying and the staff was some of the best that I’ve had the pleasure to meet. Everyone was really friendly, and the owners were celebrating their 9th wedding anniversary, and we knew this because they were actually on the floor working(or in Michael’s case, in the kitchen cooking the food) and the artist«outed them». The décor of this wine bar is mostly small tables, with a few long ones scattered here and there, the walls are covered with art from local talent, and it’s a wonderfully cozy and local feel. My friend and I each started with a glass, blush for him and a Pinot for me. Then we had a cheese plate with one of their featured selections(which changes regularly I was told), of delightfully sharp cheddar, then moved on to the nacho plate with spicy black bean spread. Unfortunately the nacho dish was the only one that really did not impress, there was not that much cheese and the black bean spread really needed a little more kick and salt. However, the tomato and onion salsa was VERY fresh and the chips were awesome. After that, we moved to paninis, a prosciutto for him and a ham for me. No desert because after all of that we were pretty full. I ordered a coffee that I was a little disappointed in, french press coffee should be a little stronger, but I think that they just ground the beans too fine. The whole ambiance of this bar is incredible, and if all wine bars were like this one then I would probably gain a whole new appreciation of vino, as it is, I’m going to try and make the 1.5 hour drive every time visiting the Hub.

This place offers a wine bar and small plates — literally from soup to nuts — amid art and musical entertainment. Open only Thursdays to Sunday. We stayed a while and ate a lot, starting with a sampler — soup, nuts, pickled vegs, breads, spreads — then a great arugula salad, then panini, and cheese plate for dessert. Had a great bottle of red while a jazz duo entertained. Super!
