Had an amazing dinner in the private room for 25, Sal, Danny and the entire team spoiled us! The menu is absolutely incredible and the service was flawless. Thank you for a great experience!

Definitely 5 stars I am writing this review on the Resturant, mainly regarding my experience at Dining in the Dark. I have been to this Resturant on two occasions and both were for dining in the dark. The fist time was about two years ago and the this was my first time every experiences dining in the dark. It was a great experience all the food was great and the service was outstanding. They started off with a pre amuse course of Bruschetta which was amazing with one of the best balsamic glazes I have had beside my own pomegranate balsamic glaze. Then it was followed by a three course meal of mystery of sorts and a discussion about what we were eating and ingredients we tasted. The room was totally dark one the first course was served. Because the exit sign could not be covered they gave us blindfolds which for me further enhanced the experience. The crowd was larger about 12 couples but the second dining in the dark was in another smaller room very intimate with three couples which was also an awesome experience. I highly recommend dining in the dark at this establishment. Also looking forward to having dinner there.

Terrible food– chef deserves less than 1 star … This was our second time buying groupon for Dark room experience. Let me start off that about a year ago we tried this & had a reserved room with 15 – 20 people. We were a group of 4 adults & had a fabulous time the first time. This occasion we had the worst experience– not worth it at all. The service was mediocre — the private room is now a shared table of 8 people — we were 4 adults &2 other couples we didnt know– when you are paying $ 30 per person that is ridiculous. Now the food the 1 st course — a generic salad– something i can buy at publix– ranch dressing tomatoes, onion & romaine lettuce– seriously??? Then 2 nd course — ravioli with cheese– it was saturated in butter– totally gross & had some sage & lemon. Final course — was ANOTHERPASTA– rigatoni with chicken, sundried tomatoes & alfredo sauce. Really? This is suppose to be a dining experience & all 8 of us came out saying it was crap! Dont waist your money– go to Salt across street they have spectacular food & wine. I will not return & doubt this place will last.

My fiancé and I purchased a Groupon for dining in the dark. I must say that it was nothing like what we were expecting. It was a small room that they created pretty much out of curtains with one table that seated 6 people. It was a little awkward when we first realized that we would be sharing a table with several strangers in the dark, but by the end we all got pretty comfortable with each other and that part wasn’t an issue. The room was not completely dark so we all had to wear blindfolds in order to really get the full experience. The blindfolds were annoying and kinda made us dizzy. They served us 3 fairly small courses(4 if you count the single piece of brochette)… a spinach salad, ravioli in a red pepper cream sauce, and broiled salmon with house-made potato chips. The salad was nothing special, but the ravioli was delicious. The salmon wasn’t bad besides the fact that no one was able to guess that it was salmon because the texture was kinda off and the flavor was … not salmon. Then we both ordered a cappuchino which wasn’t that great. We had iced teas with our dinner because we aren’t big drinkers and we got a bill for $ 45 at the end which included the teas, the cappuchinos and the tip. So it ended up costing $ 105 and we were still hungry when we left… hungry enough to go to brus room and share wings, fries and dessert. So overall, it was a fun experience and the food wasn’t bad, but I don’t think it was worth what it ended up costing us. I wouldn’t do it again, but it did look like a fun place to hang out on a weekend night.

This review is strictly for dining in the dark. A group of 8 of us purchased a Groupon special. It was restricted to Tues-Thurs night but there was a scheduling error on their part and they graciously agreed to let us re-book on a Friday evening. The room for DITD was right off the bar area. Since our reservations were for 7 pm on a Friday night the noise level was way too high. It was difficult to carry on a conversation with someone not either next to you or directly across. The other draw back is that the room was not pitch black like the other DITD place in Ft Lauderdale that I reviewed a couple of years ago. As a result we had to wear annoying blindfolds. Wine does not come with the Groupon so we each ordered the $ 15 flight for the three courses. Ended up being one white and two reds none of which were memorable and the pours were stingy. You had your choice of eating with or without silverware. Since the first course was salad we all opted to go with the hands. None of us could guess that we were eating chopped raw Brussels sprouts salad with walnuts, red onion, and Romano cheese in a light olive oil and lemon dressing. All guessed either kale or cabbage. It was really, really delicious. Next course was a ravioli course which had a meat based sauce. The 3 in our group who do not eat meat were given a meatless option. Ate with a fork because too hot to eat with hands. Delicious. The third course was also a pasta course. Orecchiette with a veal, pork and beef sauce. Really good but many were disappointed to have two pasta courses in a row. Carb overload. Believe the non meat eaters had a mushroom sauce. As for the desert, it was not included. Tiramisu is supposedly one of there best deserts but we were told they were out. Shared a platter of what amounted to fried dough drizzled with Nutella and powdered sugar. Not one of my favorite things. Our server Grace was terrific as was the gentlemen who greeted us and walked us out as we left. Wow, time flies… my 400th review!

Did dining in the dark and it was great! The server/bartender Eric did a great job! Made the experience fun, different, and relaxing! Food was also great, even though we didn’t get to choose what we ate. The whole staff was friendly which made the experience that much better! Definitely recommend.

SoLita has great food, and offers gluten free options which is a hit as my sister is intolerant. The ambience is just off and our server was really odd. He actually came to the table and told us how tired he was and seemed really spaced out, offering too much outside conversation. Anyway, I would recommend the lobster raviolis because they are delicious and the gnocchi was good as well.

Salmon piccata was okay, as I’m a pescatarian, however the chicken parmesan is barely edible. When you pay to enjoy any meal, you don’t expect a piece of chicken that is subpar or improperly prepared. Choose wisely.

I had a wonderful time. I came here on date night and took the pizza academy class. They treated us amazing. Salvotore(sp) taught us the history of pizza before we got to make our own. We had a great group and great teacher. It came with a good glass of wine. He was very patient with us. Great customer service. Well worth it. The entire staff was amazing. Ambiance was great. 5 stars. Thanks for making our night,

Came to this place on my first day of vacation, and wasn’t very happy. They décor was nice, but very load. First off, it took us 30 minutes to be seated and 30 minutes to order our apps. It then took us 45 minutes for the apps to arrive and 45 minutes after that we FINALLY ordered. Our waiter, Adolfo, was kind and apologized many times. The food was good, but charged $ 22 for a kids bowl of pasta and butter. Yeesh. Not my favorite and probably not going back.

This place was delicious — I went to SoLita Delray for date night and we got the gnocchi and the Sunday Rigatoni(or something like that). The gnocchi was good, but the rigatoni pasta dish was really excellent. The meatballs are very good as well — highly recommended!

pretty décor in dining area away from new pizza area. waiter was Damian, he is one of the best servers we have had in a long time. he knows everything about the menu, drinks and had great knowledge about people with food allergies. he answered all our questions and recommended many items on and off the menu. we ate the beet salad-yumm and one special and one item from the menu both were a fish entrée… they were both fresh, flavorful and cooked perfectly we eat on the ave at leaf 2 – 3 times a week lived in ocean ridge for 5 years and never ate here… crazy! this is one of our to go places for now on… they do serve gluten free pasta, but, it is best to call ahead to make sure they have it in stock.

Tried SoLita Delray on Christmas Eve for dinner with friends. It was one of the few restaurants in Delray that still had openings on Open Table that day. The ambiance in the restaurant is great with exposed brick, a large elegant bar and the quintessential industrial Edison style lightbulbs and metal chairs that any self-respecting trendy establishment sports these days. The food tasted good but it wasn’t over the top delicious. It’s definitely on the pricier side for what you get, so come here for the location, the scene and the ambiance, but not because you’re craving top notch Italian food.

Quick note to everybody. The main area of the joint is now called Mastino. The owner said that the history of the word Mastino is that two Italian Mastiff dogs would guard the queens recipes. For those of you that love SoLita, it will still be here but a more exclusive club within a club. Mastini will be serving food in about a week. The will have rustic pizza and delicious rotisserie chicken. When I walked in I was greeted by the owner and the bartender was very nice. He was very informative about the changes. There is brown Butcher paper on the tables. There are two white marble community tables that are good for gathering around and drinking with friends.

Some friends wanted to a dining in the dark experience so we all bought Groupons. $ 55.00 per couple. We arrived, sat at the bar and ordered a round of drinks. A few minutes later we were lead into the dark dining area. It was nice, except that the chairs looked and felt like lawn plastic lawn chairs. The waiter came over, explained how the lights would go out and they would have night vision goggles. The waiter asked about food allergies and likes & dislikes. Two of us told him that we didn’t eat salad. He said he would get us something else. When the first item was serve, it was salad. OK, whatever, that is what it is. Next up was the ravioli. They were good, but a very small portion, but very hard to try to get on your fork in the dark. Now, here is where the problem really started. We were a group of 8. 6 meals were delivered to the table. Myself and my friend did not get our meals. We sat that with our hands up trying to get a waiter’s attention for a good 5 minutes. He finally comes over and seems shocked that we didn’t have food. Our food arrives shortly after. Everyone else at our table is done with their meal at this point. We begin eating(with our hands because we have given up on silverware) We know it is chicken, but we both believe that there is also a portabella mushroom with the chicken, after everyone else tells us that there is no mushroom, we take a light from a cellphone and look. nope, it was slimy chicken. The sides were disgusting, supposed to be parsnips and potatoes, but we weren’t sure because they were so nasty tasting. Our plates were picked up and then the lights were turned on. When our bill arrived, the waiter had put us all on one check and seemed irritated that he had to split it ever though we had told him up front. We were charged for someone else’s $ 15.00 wine. Also, Miller Lite beer was $ 6.36 a bottle! Our bill was $ 92.00(remember the meal was already paid for using a groupon) So for 6 beers, the wine and gratuity, $ 92! What they did was double charge for the groupon to double their tip. Now this morning, I woke up sick as a dog, I am pretty sure I have food poisoning from the chicken not being cooked. Stay FARFAR away from this place.

If I could give my experience more stars I would! My boyfriend and I attended their Dining in the Dark event last night(Tuesday) and had a blast! When we arrived we checked in with the manager and he was very nice. He talked to us a little bit about what was gonna happen through out the evening. Since we arrived early we hung out at the bar and had a drink. The bartender was super nice and told us we were gonna have a great time. When we told him we really liked the wine he served us he showed us the bottle and said we should take a picture of it to remember haha Michael, the server hosting the event soon came around and introduced himself. Michael was amazing! He was a BIG part of the night going so well. He not only did such a great job maneuvering around in the dark he had a wonderful personality. So nice and a great sense of humor. I definitely plan on returning back to Solitas and will definitely request Michael for a server. Not only was the ambiance and service great but the food was spectacular. With our Dinning in the Dark event we got a 3 course meal. First up was an amazing fried eggplant dish topped with house made mozzarella, tomato, balsamic and Arugula. The next course was a delicious pasta dish with italian sausage, mixed vegetables and a tomato sauce. The 3rd course was a lightly breaded shrimp on top of sautéed spinach and a lemon butter cream sauce. We topped it all off with a yummy dessert they called their Ugly Cake which was brownie, topped with cheesecake, chocolate cake and chocolate mousse. It definitely satisfied any sweet craving. The food was fabulous, the wait staff was fabulous, everything was just great. Since we don’t get out much with a 6 year old in the house, we were thrilled that we were able to have such an enjoyable night out. Can’t wait to return to SoLita’s to see what other scrumtious dishes they cook up.

I Love this Place! Great memories, and amazing SoLita fun. The beatiful chandelliers set the mood all the way to the night club in the back with the dance pole thats quite enertaining, watching«wana be Paris» girls dance away to a good Dj looking down from his window throwing lazers and lights throughout. The Beautiful hostess welcomes you and seats you to eat. The Dinner is fantastic, huge portions. The waiters are very friendly and the menues have lights in them so you can read in the darker romantic restaurant. They also offer special nights of dining in the dark… I STILL need to go. its on my bucket list! The bartenders are hot and the drinks are stiff. There’s also an outdoor part of the club with some lounge chairs thats pretty chill. Ahh I can feel the Love…
