Harbor Freight gets 5 stars. They deserve it for being the best place in town for whatever tool you could want. Well, within reason.
They are like a toy store for the home project enthusiast. From chain saws to combination locks – anything you want is there at a reasonable price. They are so much more user-​friendly than the other chain hardware stores. I love this place. Many of their tools are from Taiwan etc. but they are high-​quality versions at half the price or less. They also have a back wall that has discount items that are even a more fantastic deal. If you can’t find a hardware item– Harbor Freight has it-​almost guaranteed!
I was turned on to Harbor Freight many years ago by my friend Walt, The most adept woodworker I ever met who wouldn’t compromise quality in tools. He ran a tool lending library back in Maryland– A very wonderful man who died in a fire a few years ago unfortunately. But I used to run into him at Harbor Freight with an armful of tools on several occasions.
If you fill out a card at Harbor Freight, every few weeks they send you a brochure with even more fabulous sales and it’s none of this-​you have to be a paid club member to qualify.
