My whole house generator was installed by APS in 2006, and has been serviced since. The company has grown considerably over the years, I believe mainly by buying out other companies, and is still owned and actively managed by Will Ferrigno. I recall Will answering a weekend service call back in 2007 when my generator would not start, and the culprit was a dead battery. He showed up at my front door with a new battery in hand, wearing an incredibly bright yellow slicker, as it was a torrential rain storm at the time. Needless to say, I was impressed, as he was the president of the company, and to show up himself, in that weather, was very non South Florida, where most businesses, small and medium sized, fail to do half of what they promise. APS is a full service company. They sell Generac Systems, small and huge, have a large crew of installers, service staff, and have their own GAS department. Since my home is on a block in Old Floresta, East Boca, which does not have natural gas under the streets, I had a 500 gallon propane tank sunk in the front yard, and decided to maximize my use of propane gas for other appliances. Since the initial installation, I had a TANKLESSHOTWATERHEATER installed, and a few years back, switched out my electricity robbing-inefficient-from-day11 pool heater to an incredibly efficient propane gas fueled pool heater. And also switched out my electric dryer to a gas dryer. All of the gas connections were done by APS, all were done pulling permits from the City of Boca Raton, and I now have a service contract for the generator, as well as the gas connected devices. COSTS? Expensive. I am not mincing words here. I have a yearly service contract on the generator which includes 3 calls a year and one tune-up, and while I fantasize that it would be nice if this generator didn’t need service at all, I am not unrealistic. It requires regular servicing. And, after making a substantial capital investment almost 10 years ago, I can’t allow the equipment to be neglected. Their phone handling appointments and follow-up are usually sharp, although there have been some blips where I thought I was speaking to a space cadet, but over-all, they are sharp and deliver want and when promised. So, if you are in the market for a generator, or have gas appliances which should be maintained and serviced regularly, I have no hesitation recommending APS.

These guys came to my house, gave me a fair estimate and then completed the job ahead of schedule. At no point did I feel pressured into anything. I also liked that they occasional check up on the system to make sure I am happy. Good Job guys!
