First timers and it’s a great atmosphere ! It’s your typical Irish pub/sports bar. The food is good here as well. I would recommend trying their wings and potato leak soup. I was surprise to see the soup on the menu, but totally worth to order. I also had the fried pickles and I’ve had better. I was hoping they would be pickle chips, but they came out as spears. I’ll be back for Sunday football.

We visit this spot a lot. I had to give it 4 stars because of the service and food. I will say though, for an Irish pub, some of the traditional Irish fare is not up to par. The original potato soup was good, until they added leaks to it. Some days the leak flavor is over powering. Burgers are good, and so are the grilled chicken sandwiches. The prime rib sandwich is usually good. We aren’t drinkers, so I can’t say anything about the beers. Most of the staff is pleasant and accommodating. We have been in a few times during off hours, and like another reviewer said, you may wait a minute or two, maybe three to get acknowledged. We did have a party in the Jameson room and it was great. The staff was attentive to our requests and did an awesome job. There have been a few changes in servers recently, so that might be affecting some service, but we still think of this as a local favorite of ours.

Been a patron since they opened and Dooney’s used to be awesome. Over the past few years service and food quality has declined. Tonight, I get it that it’s St Patrick’s Day, but the bar service was absolutely horrible. On a night where you would expect the alcohol to flow, it creeped. Our apps made it to the table before our first drinks and we were done with the apps before my drink made it. Not the servers fault at all. This is totally the sign of a horrible bar staff. Drinks should be FIRST. I dont care about comp’d drinks. I want good overall service. I do NOT recommend Dooney’s on a high volume night. The Guinness Irish Stew was horrible and one of our meals came out cold. The stew looked like it had been sitting for a day and the gravy looked broken ad store bought. Terrible!

Stopped in on a Saturday about 5:30 pm with the wife. Parking lot was pretty full, but don’t let that fool you. Yes, there were lots of patrons inside, but still plenty of room for more. We walked in and looked over to the bar area which we prefer, and still plenty of room available in the large” U” shaped bar. Sat down and immediately someone came over to us. We chose Sam Adams«Cold Snap» on tap as a seasonal selection. I ordered up the«Guinness BBQ Burger» @ $ 10.99 that comes with Guinness BBQ sauce, smoked bacon, cheddar cheese and onion straws. Served with fries and pickle slices. Burger was very tasty and filling. Beer was cold and flavorful. Wife ordered up Fish and Chips which she said was just ok. Service was excellent as the bartenders did a great job coming back to make sure we were taken care of. Dooney’s Pub in Riverside at Hartford Corners will definitely get return visits from us.

Hubby and I decided to go out for a light bite and beers and decided to check out here. At first the parking lot seemed packed but when entering there were still plenty of spaces available. We chose a spot at their large horse-shoe shaped bar. We were tended to immediately by great bar keeps who were non-stop meeting the needs of patrons. We were both happy to learn they had the latest seasonal Sam Adams on tap. It was cold and delicious and paired well with the meals we ordered. Hubby got the Guinness bar-b-que burger with all the fixings, to which he was quite pleased with the flavor. I ordered the fish and chip, but was a little disappointed for it came out hot with a nice crispy coating but the fish was on the soggy side and not flaky the way I like. **(I would like to note I want to give 3& ½ stars not an option with the app)**Needless to say service was excellent, plenty of beverage and meal options, and TV’s for viewing abound. We will definitely do a return visit.

Attended a 70th birthday party in the Jamison Room. The buffet food was hot, plentiful and tasty. The wait staff were attentive and cheerful throughout the evening. I’d recommend Dooney’s to friends planning an event.

Stopped by with a friend last night and had fine service from Brittany. The potato soup was excellent and the kitchen staff was able to concoct hot/honey sauce for my wings despite it not being offered on the menu. Would recommend to others.

Whoa! Sunday nights sports nights. Wow! My wife and I wanted a later dinner and we stopped in Dooney’s. We have been here many times before and I get the Reuben and she loves the healthy salmon salad. But stop the press — they have a special menu on a sheet of paper that was just outstanding! First of all I was blown away by $ 2 drafts and $ 323 ounce beers. What a savings. And you can get nachos for $ 4, nachos supreme for $ 6 and they have Irish nachos for $ 4. Try them! Then what got us was the $ 5 cheesesteaks! So forget healthy tonight-we pigged out and took home the other half of the cheesesteaks. I had 2 big beers(she was driving) and our tab came to $ 26. Not to mention I could watch my Packers win on our personal table side TV!!! I love this place!

WOW!!! I have to say the eggplant fries are absolutely amazing! I stopped in for lunch with a coworker and our food was out of this world. Got the grilled cheese with eggplant fries and will certainly go back to eat there again! My meal was awesome!

$ 7 for a local brew, Spellbound. A tad overpriced. This must make up for the Monday special beer prices.

Thursday night atmosphere is promising. I came here recently for dinner and sat at the bar. The food options are minimal so I chose something«safe». I went with the sliders(3) which came with a side of fries. The sliders were cooked perfectly and the cheese was a perfect pairing. It was pretty filling I could only finish two. Now on to the good stuff. Their bartenders and drinks are the reason to come here. I had a cosmo and dirty martinis which were solid and the bartenders super attentive. And judging from all the slurred conversations around me they were taking care of everyone. Only downside is their beer list was disappointing. I asked for a beer list and was told they had just ran out of Spellbound. With their close proximity to the brewery I would suspect its a popular choice and they would better prep. Overall, a decent place to eat but an even better place to drink.

I am undecided if I like this place or not. I have been a couple of time. However during the storm a couple of weeks ago, me and my BFF ended up here and everything was delicious. I had fried pickles and the short rib Mac and cheese and have been craving it since. Maybe it was the margaritas but I loved my dinner. The waitress was also so sweet!

Been here a few times now and I have nothing but great things to say about the food… call it what it is excellent bar and Pub food, for all the negative comments from people who complain about the food obviously your expectations are not what they should be… get the heck out of this Fun place and take your stuck up sorry ass palate to some upscale place else, and let us enjoy this Gem of a establishment… just to let you know I’ve eaten in over 1,200 different restaurants/Bar and grills all over the country/world and this happens to be one of my New go-to spots… Oh and as far as the service always remember treat people the way you want to be treated… it really works… They always treat us like family!

Not being from the area I looked on Unilocal for a place to eat lunch. I found this place and decided that while it was very much out of my way I would give it a chance since the reviews were overwhelmingly«ok». When I arrived there was no one to be seen except one couple eating lunch. I stood around for a few minutes waiting, thinking«hey, it’s lunch time, someone must be at the hostess stand.» When no one appeared I walked towards the kitchen and found the staff hanging around talking and playing on their phones. They said sit where ever I wanted and they would be over… I was rather surprised that this is what I found in a place with positive reviews during lunch time. I ordered a steak salad and was disappointed that I had to cut a significant amount of fat and gristle off of the steak. For a $ 13+ salad this is not what I expected. I’m getting straight to the point because of how surprised I was with my experience. To the credit if my server, the service was good once I was seated. My nearly $ 3 soda was delivered. I have to presume that this is a great spot for dinner and bar drinks as that is what many people reference. However, it’s possible that today was an off day.

Charming pub atmosphere. Hearty Irish comfort food. Staff could be more friendly. Clean bathrooms. Too many TV’s…

I have been here a bunch of times and I love it. The food is good, the drinks are decently priced and the staff is friendly. I think the best appeal about this place is the menu selections. While they have the traditional pub food, they have a bunch of different things that you really don’t find in the area, since it’s an Irish place, they have a lot of traditional Irish meals. The décor and the atmosphere is great and some of the booths even have their own personnel tv. Very cool. All in all, this is a solid place that you will not be upset about.

Excellent pub. Attended a party here with a private bar and bathrooms. Drinks were strong and the bartenders were top notch. Wings are really good, the garlic parmesan ones were excellent. Chicken parm, hot roast beef with horseradish and baked ziti were very good. Great service, clean bathrooms.

This is a fun place to hang out with friends. I went with a group of 9. There are TVs in each booth which is cool, as well as large screens throughout. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the layout was very well done in my opinion. There is a patio out front that had a few people in it despite the light rain. It looked like a great place to sit and relax for lunch or dinner. The service was a bit slow but again, there were 9 of us and it was very late(11pm). The drinks came in about 10 minutes. The food, however, took about 50 minutes to arrive and once it got there it was almost room temperature(at least my fries were) but everything was extremely tasty and everyone loved their meals. The server was very nice and responsive. Refills arrived much quicker than the first drinks did and always with a smile. She was genuinely nice, which made the wait tolerable. The prices are reasonable and what you get for the money is fair. I would definitely go again however, I would try going at an earlier time next time I go. Maybe things would move quicker if it wasn’t the end of a Friday night. But all in all, I enjoyed my visit.

Just moved into the area and was looking for some good wings. My personal favorite when looking for wings is garlic parm. And i must say that so far, this has been my favorite spot for them! Crispy garlicky and not drenched in parmesean cheese. It doesnt seem like they much drink options but i have yet to hang out by the bar. Lots of TVs and spacious! Service was good.

Are you missing Bennigan’s? This is probably the closest thing to it. A self-described«Irish Pub», they offer a few Irish-y entrees such as shepherds pie, fish and chips, bangers and mash, and Guinness stew, but the majority of the food options have a distinctively non-Irish slant, including fish tacos, spicy Thai wraps and buffalo wings. That being said, they have a whiskey/scotch list of about 15 items to choose from and about 10 beers on tap, including Guinness, Harp, Smithwick’s and Kilkenny. Of course if you are aiming for the Bud Light, Miller Light, Coors Light crowd, they have that too.(Oh, the dichotomy!) Service just OK, even though it wasn’t busy.
