Turtle Inn is tucked away in a small concealed community of mostly older former resort type cabins. Most of the«homes» are privately owned now and could use a little updating but… The same for Turtle Inn… well worn but clean. It’s basically a large room with a bar and a dozen or so scattered tables Over the years the only update that I can recall is of several old double hung windows replaced with large open pane glass to provide a fantastic view of Turtle Lake. Your eyes are automatically focused in this direction. They served authentic Polish food here at one time, but the menu and availability seem to be hit or miss. Mixed clientele… locals, semi-locals, regulars, bar hoppers, bikers, fisherman, punks, retirees, family picnics, boaters, smokers and myself… just relaxing with a PBR and enjoying the view.
