I found my new favorite dish here! The chicken Palermo dinner with fettuccine for the pasta. I am a little sad that they don’t have penne ala vodka, but the Palermo is still the best I’ve had yet.

Visiting family from out of town and this spot was highly recommended. See my ‘for reference’ at the end for how I scale, but for now on to the review… As a pizza joint this was pretty good. Everyone in the 5 person party had pizza(white and red variety) and/or calzones, and all were satisfied. The regular size calzone was big, and more than enough for one unless you’re trying to expand. I should mention we all started with garlic rolls and small salads too, which were as equally satisfying as the za’s and zones. While not the best I’ve had(it would have been 5 stars then), it was good and definitely satisfying. The rest of the menu had a mix of pastas, meats and veggies, all of which looked pretty good, so maybe next time. In the end we ordered one of each desert(4 total) they had to offer and shared them around. Most in the party liked the fudge cake and NY style cheesecake. I’m picky when it comes to desert, and only really like top notch deserts or it otherwise is not good to me. To me just because it’s sweet doesn’t mean it is worthwhile, so I guess I don’t have a sweet tooth. That being said, I’ll skip the desert review since I was the odd one out and my kids devoured them happily. Overall, if you plan on stopping here for salads, zones and za’s, you should be satisfied. I would return here again if everyone wanted pizza a second time on this trip, but I have an innate desire to always try new things, so maybe next time. For reference, 3 star on my scale is a decent place to eat and I’d go back for another experience. A 2 star isn’t worth a second visit and 1s should give me my money back and pay for my zofran. On the other end a 4 is somewhere I would happily return to on my own and try most anything on the menu, and a 5 is a must go or you really missed out. I noticed a lot of 4s and 5s on Unilocal in this area, and I would likely not agree with those assessments. I’ve eaten all across the US and in many foreign countries, so when I see a high congregation of 4 and 5 stars in a small town not in Italy, I see it as people need to travel and experience more and those results would be very different.

Have eaten here for a few years now, just getting around to the review. My family loves this place. Everything on the menu is delicious. The pizza is second to none in this area. The salads are always fresh and full. This place is a must try if you are in the Deland area. The parking is tight but worth the hassle.

Best pizza and best garlic knots in town if you ask me and a lot of my friends(unless you are really into the thin wood-fired pizza offered at some other places around). I also frequently enjoy the good old spaghetti and meat sauce here. Service is excellent overall; the worst part is trying to pay for your food at the counter because they have so many take-out orders being rung up, too! Speaks for its popularity, that’s for sure!

Manager was eating with a mouth full while she denied us seating 20 min before closing time at 9 wish I could give a half a star

It is 9:22 pm. Place closes at 10:00 pm. All the chairs are up and I go to order a slice of regular pizza or a pie and they say no, they are done for the night and offer us to buy old stale bianca slices. Bad business, poor service, too many other local options. I suggest you put your money elsewhere in the area instead of a place that does not want to serve customers 40 minutes before stated closing time.

Love this place. They have amazing calzones, it’s such a cute little restaurant downtown. It’s one of my favorites.

They served me a cold spinach calzone. I had to send it back to get cooked all the way.

Had a nice lunch. The service was on point and they worked as a team. Lots of garlic knots came with our meal, they were cooked great and just the right amount of garlic. I had a chicken Parm sandwich and it was fantastic, my wife had the«small» Greek salad. The salad was huge. It was a nice place and I am sure we will be back.

Love the pizza! Always busy, but you never have to wait long. Pizza crust is crispy like it’s cooked in a stone grill.

Pretty average place, to be honest. Everything was decent but could have been better. Very chewy pizza crust, and I thought the white pizza was… I don’t know — dry? It was missing melt in your mouth gooey cheese. So were the mozzarella sticks, which were nicely crispy on the outside but not melted enough on the inside. The garlic knots were tasty but super greasy(like leak-through-aluminum-foil-and-paper-bag-greasy). My parents, who are area locals and love Dominos(shudder), also loved this place. Anyone who is just visiting or just relocated will probably find it passable.

Fairly Decent pizza with a nice crust. The white pizza lacked flavor, there needed to be more garlic and olive oil. Did not seem to be the best quality cheese, the mozzarella was not Nice and stringy, but rather hard. The ricotta cheese was sparse. The service was friendly and attentive, but on the slow side for refills on beverages. Overall a decent place to sit down and have pizza –By no means anything I would consider much above average.

Got the Eggplant Parmesan Rollitini. Yummy! Home made ranch dressing was superb. Would definitely eat here again and I would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys Italian cuisine.

I ate here with friends during a recent trip to Florida. This is easily the best pizza in the area that I’ve tried, though the service seems a little lacking. We shared a large bruschetta pizza which was delicious, and full of spinach, basil, garlic, and cheese. We also shared a garden salad, which had cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, and black olives. The veggies seemed very fresh, and the balsamic dressing was very tasty. The tiramisu dessert was good, but not what I would consider true tiramisu. The complimentary garlic bread was excellent as well.

First time I checked this place out. Glad I did! Great atmosphere and the staff is super friendly and outgoing. The pizza, it was fantastic! Some of the best around. I’ll definitely be going back. Their prices are comparable to most pizza joints but the quality of food is 5x better!

Tasty pizza place in downtown DeLand. Stopped in on a busy Sunday night and ordered a couple of beers and a large pizza. Service was a little slow at times, but they were very busy with a wait. We were served warm garlic rolls before the pizza came out. The pizza was hot, fresh, and good.

This place provides excellent service! First off, the dinner starts off with garlic knots. They are fresh and tasty. Dinner was the chicken parm. It comes with more garlic knots and a salad. The sauce was a little light with the dinner, but I was able to use the left over from the garlic knots. The sauce was somewhat thin and a tad on the sweet side. Chicken tasted thawed and as busy as it was I thought they could have used fresh chicken. The prices were great. Again, great service!

This hit the spot after a day spent drinking with my retiree mother and her crazy senior-living friends. Thin crust pizza is the only pizza as far as I’m concerned, and Tony’s does it well. It could be thinner and crispier for my liking, but they get a nice chew on the dough and their sauce/cheese/toppings ratio was on the mark. It tasted even better since I got it carryout and enjoyed it a short walk away at Persimmon Brewing.

Oh LAWDDDDDD, the pizza is on point… so yummy… very clean, staff is kind and professional. I was given a soda while waiting for my take out and that simple gesture really kept me coming back, the staff is always checking on you, making sure your ok… it does get busy and it’s just a fun atmosphere… The pizza is SOSO good. I am pizza crazy, so I really am into finding the best pizza restaurants, and this is one of them.
