We went there at 7:30 pm and it was closed! Either Unilocal has it wrong or the place is shut down! Annoyed…

Pretty irritated that the store was closed for no apparent reason. Being from out of town, I wanted to get a few local items and wasn’t able do so. Not to mention not being able to get a cup of coffee as it was in the morning when I went.

Very rude and snobby staff! Plus their peanut buffer chocolate and fudge bar taste horrible… not worth the calories. My boyfriend asked if he could buy a fudge bar and the staff(old woman with a black rose tattoo on her neck) completely ignored him. I spoke up and said, «Hunny, she didn’t hear you.» Then the staff said, «Oh I heard him.» …Can’t believe how rude the stuff was! She could have at least taken the effort to say«Sorry, I’ll be with you in a minute» instead of ignoring him. I recommend going to a different chocolate store if you want good chocolate with pleasant service.

The visit started with a warm genuine greeting… which is always a plus! I had an Americano and my kids had some chocolates. Both were very good. The baristas informed me that they use local La Costa coffee beans.

What an amazing place with so many goodies from food to coffee, it is a nice spot to stop and put one some extra weight. There are a few tables outside with an ocean view and the staff is very friendly. It is right off the parking garage and a place worth visiting for a hot or cold coffee drink and delightful goody or two or three or four to take with you… There are so many choices and they all look so good. If you are in the area, stop here and check this place out, it will be worth it…

Irresistible, delicious chocolate-covered toffee, in both milk and dark chocolates. Peanut Butter cups in white, dark or milk chocolate. Mexican chocolate(for champurrado!) in original, orange, salted almond and vanilla flavors. A chocolate-covered bar of honeycomb. Chocolate covered oreos, in various flavors. Need I go on? Actually, I can’t, because everything else we bought my boyfriend ate so quickly, I didn’t have a chance to take inventory. The chocolates are rich, sweet, and thick. The peanut butter cups are NOTHING like Reese’s, so don’t even try to make a comparison– the peanut butter is more like butter with peanut flavoring, but drippy and gooey and it gets everywhere(or maybe we just let ours melt too much). Definitely worth stopping in for a treat. Don’t bother with children, this tastes like adult dessert! Thick, and rich and decadent, if you’re feeling completely gluttonous, add Del Mar Chocolate Bar to your weekend feasting!

Staff not knowledgable about products. Ordered a dark choc-PB cup. For $ 4 I was expecting real peanut butter not some bs peanut butter fudge or filling. KISS!

I was in the Del Mar Plaza and stumbled across this shop while looking for a coffee place. I ordered a vanilla latte, it took about 3 minutes to come out and it was delicious! This shop has great service I think the woman’s name was Stephanie who helped me, I’ll definitely be back soon.

I had my usual, a dirty chai with 2 shots of espresso. It was delicious!!! The store is very cute too with an eclectic variety of chocolate and candy. If you are looking for something other than the usual chain coffee I would definitely come here!

Café mocha was tasty. I’m not sure of their chocolates though. They don’t have a big selection of their homemade chocolates.

Had the chai latte. It seems like it’s made from concentrate and is a little too sweet for me but not bad. The location is the real highlight. Go upstairs and soak in the view of the ocean on some comfy lounge chairs.

The iced white chocolate mocha was really good. Also tried the milk chocolate mint Oreo, which was delicious. The location is very nice.

Del Mar Chocolate Bar definitely hits a sweet spot for me. It is more of a grab-n-go chocolate/coffee shop as there isn’t much indoor seating. There is outdoor seating that is more or less shared with the neighboring tenants of the somewhat upscale mall alone the Hwy 101. Located across the street from L’Auberge, it serves as a great alternative to Starbucks and nifty place if you are in the mood to explore without taking big risks. They have a great variety of sweets — a mix of already made chocolates such as Lindt, as well as their own homemade variety. Of the chocolate treats, they make most options with white chocolate, milk chocolate, and dark chocolate so you definitely have some choices! I opted for a Milk Chocolate covered Mint Milano. Delish! I paired the above selection with a Caffe Latte with Almond Milk! I was so excited that they had that option for milk! It definitely made my evening. The coffee was delicious — not too strong — so the almond milk was a great compliment. Parking is difficult. Street parking is minimal so take it if you find a spot. Otherwise, you can park in the garage beneath the shopping center. You do have to pay to park in the garage, but most restaurants and shops will validate your parking for a few hours. Despite the parking, Del Mar Chocolate Bar is a place I would definitely return for a little bit of indulgence!

Small little shop that I probably would’ve missed, had I not been looking for the Pacifica Café lol. tried the truffles. SO good but kind of pricey.

The service was friendly and accommodating. I ordered a tuxedo, but it wasn’t on the menu, so I explained what it was and they did it for me. The coffee was piping hot! But the coffee was also very smooth and not too sweet. It really was, just right :)

Pros: Outdoor seating is perfect for a warm day. Large selection of chocolates and other sweets — they sell the largest peanut butter cup I’ve ever seen. I almost dropped it when I first picked it up because it was so dense and heavy. Cons: Coffee is extremely sweet — should have known, considering it’s a chocolate bar. Not in a particularly delicious way either. Suuupppeeerrrr slow service. It took almost 10 minutes for my drinks to come out, and there was no one else at the place. Literally no other customer. Once we got our drinks, my friend tasted hers and decided she wanted to ask them to add something to it. At that point, some customers had wandered in, and it took another 5 minutes to get the attention of the barista. This could have been forgiven if they had just been understaffed, but as we were leaving another barista sauntered out from the back. Not really sure what she was doing the whole time, but it really shouldn’t take almost 20 minutes to get satisfactory coffee.

Cute new shop at the Del Mar Plaza. Lots of truffles, chocolate bars from various places, and a good assortment of licorice. My bf and I found licorice from Australia. It was pretty darn tasty! I willed myself not to get any chocolate although I was eyeing their red velvet truffles. Maybe another time.

Cute little shop. Their champagne truffle satisfied my chocolate craving.
