We came Sunday for lunch to meet friends. While we waited for them we snacked on the cheese and sausage tray. This was the main disappointment of the day. The cheese tray had cubes of cheese. There were 3: cheddar, pepper jack and something else(the server didn’t say). Now, if I’m going to pay $ 10 – 15 for a tray, I do not want cubed cheese from Costco especially at a winery. The sausage was ok– it was salami-ish. The lunch was average, and I would eat there again. I had the chicken salad sandwich which was served on a croissant.

Ambiance and view is delightful and the food is pretty good. The service is usually pretty slow and you have to ask things you need(more water and napkins/utensils). My biggest issue with the place: their short pours. $ 10 for a 4 ounce pour of sweet red that is not even remotely unique is utterly ridiculous!

Great place ! What an experience we were introduced to a very special wine there, limited-edition must to ask next time you visit. Always live music on Sundays.

There’s no nicer winery along the St. Charles Weinstrasse. Do yourself a favor and check it out!

I was here performing a show and I was amazed by the beautiful surroundings! Not only is their main building rustic yet upscale but the view from the indoor/outdoor patio is gorgeous. The sunset I got to experience was so vivid it was breathtaking. The staff was friendly and very helpful and the food looked fantastic. I can’t wait to go back and try some of their award winning wines! Happy drinking!

It will be a fine winery if you are a certain race, but if you are colored, i definitely do not recommend. Me and my wife visited today(valentine’s day) and had lunch and wine tasting. When we asked for wine tasting, one of the senior staffs didn’t want to serve us, and asked the guy who was shoveling the snow outside(a men with no uniform who seemed like a janitor of the winery) to serve us. When we asked a question, that guy didn’t know about it, so he asked the other staff. The other staff didn’t even want to explain to us, and she just explained briefly to the guy without even seeing us. Don’t get me wrong. It was not a busy time because there was snow then. Also the couple before us and after us were all served by the«regular» staff with uniforms. Other than the racist service, wines are just okay. Not better than what your random pick at a liquor store for about $ 8 – 12. We had soup, sandwich and cheese plate. Again, not terrible but not better than what you get in an airplane(domestic/economy) But it is still okay, cause they only target certain race.

This is likely one of the best Vineyards to visit in MO, it has a real California Wine Valley feel to it as the restaurant overlooks the vineyards. The wine is by far superior to any other winery I’ve tasted around MO, each wine has a distinct maturity to its flavors and are very well balanced. The prices are a bit higher than the other options but this is a true sense of getting what you pay for. The food was ok, not anything that was memorable — the real highlight is the drive to CH and the view with live music playing in the background.

I really love this place. I’ve only been once now, and I don’t even know how, considering my best friend works here part time. But I am so glad I finally made it out here. What a cute spot! They have pretty spacious inside and outside seating, but I can definitely see it being hard to get a table on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. We came last Sunday and they had a husband and wife playing music, it was the cutest thing. I loved that. To start we ordered the cheese tray. You get three different cheese, some crackers, toasted baguette, nuts, and grapes. I enjoyed it to start. My dad ordered their black label cab and loved it. I tried a glass of the ol’Joe moscato, and I really didn’t care for it. I just thought it was a safe choice for me, but it wasn’t that great in my honest opinion. For lunch I had their turkey sandwich with a side salad. Both were great! I love their salads. My boyfriend had the ham and gruyère with the chips. He seemed to really like it. It looked pretty tasty on that pretzel bun, I just don’t like ham. Beautiful views, great service… I need to find a time to head out there and spend a whole day. Can’t wait to come back.

The view is stunning! The food was great! Wine was desirable although I prefer my sweet red cold it was lukewarm. The downsides make our visit dissapointed. Not sure if they’re understaffed or lazy. The waitress we could tell she didn’t want to be there. She would dissappear for 10 to 20 minutes at a time. Our waters were empty most of the time. We ordered four items and didn’t say we wanted two out first but that’s how they arrived. Food took a long time, I’d say at least 25 to 30 minutes for the first 2 items. You could tell they were sitting in the window as well, the lettuce was wilted and the sauce has a thick layer over the top of it. There wasn’t even but maybe at the most 10 tables. The employee smoking area seemed to close by so as we’re trying to enjoy the sensors of the food an wine the smoke drifted into our palates. Yuck! It sure was beautiful and the food is good and wine was fine. But the service is downright awful! If the service was fixed we would definitely return. If not, we can find other places to spend our money.

I recently visited Chandler Hill with a group of girlfriends. It was the perfect place to hang out while on Spring Break because it wasn’t busy. It’s one of the few wineries open year-round in the area. I had never been before. The scenery and ambiance are wonderful, so I understand the popularity of this place. I can only imagine how insane it gets in nice weather! It was a chilly day when we came, but we were able to sit on the covered patio, which has some heaters that kept us toasty. There are tables as well as a lot of lounge furniture. We made use of both. Some friends did tastings, which only costs $ 5. Being pregnant, I was unable. The reviews of the wine were mixed. One friend sent her bartender recommended glass back and said it was pretty nasty, and she isn’t a wine snob. They had a lot of choices and some really appealed to me for the next time! My lemonade was kept well filled. The waitress was knowledgeable and came around fairly often to check on us, bring us food and more. It’s nice that they have a full menu here because we all came hungry for lunch. I ordered a salad, and it was delicious! Others enjoyed their food too, except the chicken on one of the salads that tasted microwaved. Overall, a very pleasant day, we didn’t feel rushed, and it wasn’t to expensive. I’d come back and try to beat the crowds.

Went to Chandler Hill over the weekend and had a great time. It was too chilly to be outside on their lovely patio but they had deck furniture set up in an enclosed area. It was my friend’s birthday and they put us in our own little lounge-y corner with comfy couches and a table. It was so relaxing and the food and wine was great. Will definitely use the shuttle service they have next time though. I had to park in the lower lot and walk all the way up and didn’t realize I could have gotten a ride.

We went here the day after Christmas for my Dad’s birthday. I ordered the King Buck Burger with bacon, my wife also ordered the King Buck Burger sans bacon, and my parents split the Portobello Burger. Everyone’s food was absolutely phenomenal, cooked exactly as we ordered, and the service was simply top notch! As we were dining, I couldn’t help noticing the orders being delivered to others and everything looked amazing! Judging from the comments we overheard, all of the other diners were having a very similar experience to ours. This wasn’t my first visit here but it was the first time we had dined here. Previously, I was impressed by their wines, and also the fact that they have some excellent beers on tap. This establishment really has it all together and we’ll be regular visitors from now on!

Been a long time since I was here, but feel like if I don’t write my review now, I will either get too busy to do so or I will just forget over time. I came here this summer with my boyfriend to try out a «Missouri Winery» since I’d been hearing so many great things about them and I still hadn’t been to one yet. No more excuses! Time to go! That’s what I thought, although the BF doesn’t drink, so he wanted to go to one that had an actual restaurant in it, not just some little piddly crackerfood and nuts. This place has a truly wonderful view. Yes, Montelle has a nice view too, but I really don’t like the food at Montelle as much as here, and I like the wine at both places… the food here isn’t fantastic by any means, maybe 3 stars for the food, and 4⁄5 stars for the scenery/wine. But yeah, I kinda assume you go to these types of places for the latter not the former. I’d say the food was on par with bread co. I had a soup and sandwich combo. The soup was tomato basil bisque and it was actually quite good! The sandwich was some turkey thing, I think. Unremarkable, but not terrible. The perfect way to spend an afternoon. The only thing I truly have beef about is their hours. I wish they were open later and more frequently. But I guess this schedule works for them, so yeah… idk. I just feel like they’d be getting wayyy more business, especially during the warmer months. I would like to return here again!

This place is my all time favorite. I always have great service. The patio is where it’s at. You must get a table and sit under one of there huge umbrellas. They always have a band playing music. The view is outstanding and breath taking. My best friend got surprised engaged here and I got to take picture with out even knowing it was happening. Love this place. Alway a good time.

Good wine and good people. This was our 1st stop today and we tasted 15 wines. Can you say buzz. The staff that was helping was kind of doing a tag team serving doing 5 groups at once and they did a great job. I liked several of the wines but they were in the pricey side. We did mike the true Missouri wines better than the Oregon and California wines they had. Atmosphere was fun and light. Inside and outside tables were full of diners, we hit the lunch rush. The tasting room was efficient and clean and they took the tasting cost off the wine we purchased. We will be back.

I know little about wines, but I appreciate a wine that compliments my dinner, enhances the celebration of good friendship, and adds to the occasion, especially when it is enjoyed in a comfortable atmosphere. I am grateful to friends who brought us to Chandler Hill as we visited. We enjoyed the tasting, and the lunch was a delight. Though warm outside(late August), we were comfortable inside. I did step outside to admire and photograph the tranquil setting. I would choose it for a wedding reception! Of the wines I sampled, I enjoyed a tasty Viognier, and wished that there was room in my luggage for it. I hope to return, but I will savor the memory of the visit. I highly recommend Chandler Hill Vineyards.

This is not my first visit to Chandler Hil, and I can’t find a reason that it would be my last. Chandler Hill has views for days! I have yet to find a winery in our area with a better view. Sitting on the patio and driking from the selection of wines is near heaven, and then you add food!!! They have this mustard bacon sauce that they serve with pretzels. I have no idea what the recipe is, but its nectar from the Gods. The food in general is spectacular. Worth the trip itself. I was lucky to have tried a it from everyone at the table. The hanger steak… amazing. The pork tenderloin… um yes please. And the pan fried chicken… loves!!! The groupon I bought was worth every penny, and to be honest kind of hoping I can still buy one. If you can get it. It included a wine flight, a tour with a barrel tasting and your dinnner. Even without the Groupon its worth every penny each time I came before. If you have not been to a winery in the area this would a great one to venture to first!

Might this be my favorite winery in good old Missouri wine country? It just might be. I’ve always been a huge fan of Montelle, but Chandler Hill really is a wonderful place and in a class of its own. What I love about CH is that you can make reservations if you have a big enough party… that can be a total lifesaver when trying to sit with a big group. On my last visit, they blocked off a huge section for us in the shade, and it was the perfect spot to spend hours drinking wine in the summer heat. Our server was wonderful and did a great job taking care of us all day. I adore the wine tastings at this place, and for $ 5 you can to try five wines… and they aren’t skimpy on the pours, either. I loved every single thing I tried on my last visit, especially their rose with hints of strawberry and rhubarb. I was afraid it would be too sweet, but it wasn’t at all. If I were you, I would try a variety just to see what they’re all about… you can try Missouri wines, but they also have an extensive list of California wines as well. Hooray for variety! The menu is hefty for a Missouri winery, and everything is pretty damn good… the meats and cheese platter is awesome for sharing, as are the spreads. I’ve also had the chicken salad sandwich and certainly wasn’t disappointed. Chandler Hill has amazing wine, great food, fun music, and good people watching. Watch the bachelorettes pile in and bet money with your friends on which one is going to cry first. Don’t judge… it’s fun! Can’t wait to make it back here as soon as I can.

I still like this winery, but feel it needs some improvement. I’ve done both the tasting and the lunch here a couple of times now… all on a Saturday. The best parts of this winery are clearly the views and the deck. Particularly on a nice day, this is a great place to sit and sip wine. When it is cold, it is a little bit more difficult. They do have some heat lamps set up near the top of the deck, which does help. In terms of eating here, they have pretty good food. I’ve always been pleased with their sandwiches, as well as their pretzel appetizer. Last time I was there, I ordered the the smoked turkey sandwich, which was delicious. I thought the dried cranberries complimented the turkey nicely. Unfortunately, it is first-come-first-serve, which means that unless you arrive early, you have to snag a table all on your own. After you finally snag a table, you end up waiting at least 10 minutes before someone finally comes over and talks to you. The servers are always really friendly and helpful, but this place seems to be constantly under-staffed. Also, if you come after 1PM, there is usually a loud band playing on the patio so you’re unable to have any conversation with your neighbors. Despite how busy this place is, I’ve never had too much difficulty doing a tasting. They have several tastings ranging from $ 5 to $ 15 depending on the types of wines you want to try. The wines are all good, but I’m not sure they warrant the high prices this place charges. I will say that I appreciate their $ 15 dry red wine given that every other wine is well over $ 20. Finally, if you’re worried about crowds, come when this place opens at 11AM. It is a lot quieter and way more peaceful both inside and outside. I will definitely be back in the future, but wouldn’t say this is one of my top wineries in the area.
