Looks like Phyllis is a marketing genius because she got rid of all her bad reviews! I bought a Groupon for laser hair removal here a year and a half ago, even though the reviews were super mixed. This is not a commercial salon, but the basement of her house. Okay, as long as she’s licensed and has the proper equiptment, that shouldn’t matter.
However, she is completely unprofessional. On my first treatment, I saw results, excellent results, and was excited to continue. I thought those bad reviews must’ve had something personal. So what I’ve read about how laser hair removal works (becuase I learned nothing from Phyllis) was that you have to continue on a certain schedule because it works with your hair cycles. I work, so I tried coming on my lunch breaks when I could (travelling from Melville), but she told me she had weekend hours which worked much, much better for me (part of the reason I bought the Groupon over other places). I would schedule for a Saturday, and then she would call me the day before and tell me she had to cancel. Then she’d push my appointment back, and I stopped seeing any real results because I was so off schedule to actually stop the hair growth. She could never, ever, ever find my file when I was there and when I would show up, she always greeted me with «tattoo removal, right?» NO.
I ended up not even using all my treatment sessions (I only had 6!!) because I fell so off schedule with her cancellations that I was basically starting over. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

I went here for a laser tattoo treatment. The office is very clean and comfortable. Phyllis, the owner, is very personable and professional. I definitely recommend going to her. She offers a variety of other services as well. I plan on booking a facial in the near future :)
