The food and service is excellent. They shuck the oysters very good and have awesome grilled ones as well. 5 stars from me :)

I am not sure what keeps this place in business. The food is barely edible and way over priced definitely NOT fresh except for maybe the oysters. There is nothing special about this place and the manager and waitresses are miserable and it shows although the bartenders seem to have a good attitude. I always give a restaurant a try at least 2 times before i give a review and my opinion is the same on both accounts. I really hope the owner of this place does a overall audit of the situation because this place has potential but has a long way to go.

Wow not even an great place to eat. Good was bad. Staff was nice. Fried shrimp was barely warm when it came out. Was like cheating on a tire it was so rubbery. Kids chicken strips also not very warm. No seasoning. So close to the gulf and nothing fresh about the food we go.

This has to be one of the worse seafood establishments in my 30 years eating seafood. not yo mention very slow service and the place was not busy. calamari was over cooked half of it was breading. the side salad was embarassing iceberg slightly brown with a tomato and cucumber in a puny tiny bowl for $ 3.50?!! Mayonnaise ranch? MAYONNAISE! I got the broil platter. the scallops were ok and shrimp ok i mean borderline ok. the fish fillet though wow! Tasted like mud literally mud i tried to eat it but could not. i had more rice on my plate to feed 3 people. Noone asked how my food tasted and if everything was ok. Correct me if im wrong but if someone asks for lemon to add in there water you dont grab the lemon from the area you are shucking raw oysters from. save yourself the trouble go to red lobster much cleaner, friendlier, and worth the money there then the $ 25 – 30 i spent. SERIOUSLYDONTWASTEYOURTIMEHERE!

Service was great and staff was very friendly. However, the food tasted as though it were cooked from frozen, not fresh. Scallops tasted like store bought fish sticks. It was just not up to par with other local seafood restaurants.

The oysters blew us away by their size and freshness. Our meals were filling, tasted great and had a fair price. The coleslaw seemed freshly made. for $ 44. with drinks and a dozen oysters is less than half we paid at another local sea food restaurant for a lesser meal.

I’ve been to this location six or seven times and have seen a steady down hill run. Went there today and won’t be back. If you feel like dropping $ 17 on a dozen small oysters then be my guest. 2 adults, 2 kids 10&5, 4 soft drinks. $ 68.

went there for lunch and asked for booth. there was one booth available but I was told that that booth was reserved for management. waited over 30 minutes for a fish and shrimp basket, the food was ok but expensive for what you get. I will not return because a restaurant that puts management above paying customers is not a place I want to spend my money.

The shrimp, which is all I had, was definently not fresh and was frozen! The breading might as well not even be on the shrimp, it just flaked off. There idea of a shrimp po-boy is take the same popcorn shrimp from the appetizer, throw it on a bun and bed of lettuce/tomato, and lay it next to some french fries! Dissapointing! I gave it two because I didnt get food poisioning.

My wife wanted me to try this place out to since I like seafood so she treated me to this restaurant. We will not be going back. The lack of cars in the parking lot on a Sunday after church should have been an indication but we went in anyway. You could tell the food was pre-frozen, it tasted that bland. Service was spotty to say the least. Had to get up and get our own siverware. Definitely not someplace I wish to return to.

The inside looks like it’s worn down even though the building is new. Opted to sit outside instead. Ordered a safe choice– fried shrimp. The shrimp were fried in a cornmeal batter that was so bland and the shrimp were not cleaned. So gross, a total waste. Never ever going back.

So I had to try the new location, everything was perfect. Food is FRESH to me because they cook it right in front of you, Doesnt get any fresher than that. I started with the jalapeño boudin, EXCELLENT. Then I went off my usual and tried something new off the menu and decided on the rainbow trout and of course it didnt disappoint. I LOVE Captain Benny’s…

Not a fan. Their food doesnt taiste fresh to me. Worst of all, I ordered fish, and it was partially cold(in the middle) still, so I guess it was under cooked

The quick reply to my first review by one of the co-owners was really impressive and he genuinely apologized for our troubles. He was very gracious in giving me a gift card so I could try the restaurant again. Due to his response and generosity, all I am going to say about my second visit with six co-workers for lunch is that they are still working out the bugs at this location.
