If you’re thinking of going to this guy — don’t. Here’s the short of it — this guy handed me a scalpel and told me to have it with self surgery. So here’s the long of it, Over the past 4 months I have had what appeared to be foliculitis. Several rounds of antibiotics later I was sent to a dermatologist in Decatur — the only dermatologist I could see in less than 12 weeks — and it was Dr. Weaver. I did not do any sort of homework before showing up, I just assumed a doctor is a doctor. I came into this office, filled out the paper work and waited a reasonable period to see the doctor. 30 to 45 minutes(I had an appointment and I was early) of waiting — I see the doctor. Here’s the thing — I basically had to badger him into staying more than 5 minutes. He looks at the bumps that are currently itching and painful and says they are just acne. I’ve dealt with some form of acne my entire life, it might be painful at times — but is never itchy. Regardless of this — he tells me my big problem is cysts — hands me a scalpel — and tells me to do my thing at my house if I want. Seriously. A doctor gave me a scalpel and told me to do my own surgery. Cyst removal. That happened. Just go on youtube and look it up. This is for sure something you want to try on your own right? I’ll just grab my surgery tray, sterile forceps, make my incision and get to parting skin. I wasn’t really pissed at the time because I thought«hey maybe this is as simple as he seems to think it is» — but after seeing some videos… no.
