It is hands down the best gyro I have ever had. I even have a hard time eating one anywhere else now! The service is always great and the place is clean. I just want to know what they put in the tea!

Delicious food and great prices! This place offers quick and simple service with amazing food. I had the shish kabob and it was very filling. Their hummus was good too.

All vegetarian dishes are great: the falafels, hummus, babaghannush, greek potatoes. the lentil soup is just like my mom’s, perfect. Meats and kebabs are so-so, kind of on the bland side. But very cheap and fresh all the time.

Inexpensive and tasty Mediterranean food. The vegetarian sandwich is(almost) everything I love about Mediterranean food in a pita wrap. And the fried herbed potatoes are a treat(i like dipping them in tzatziki sauce). My only carps are minor ones — sometimes it’s just a little too crowded, with nowhere to sit(I’ve carried my plate out to the picnic tables outside of Rainbow) and the flat bread gets kind of tough as it cools, almost as if it were microwaved, but I don’t think it is. Big portions, too. My favorites are the falafel plate for when I’m super-hungry and the vegetarian sandwich(either eat it with a knife and fork or pinch the bottom end firmly and try to keep it from squeezing downward; it’s messy). If I ever tried any of the meat dishes, they didn’t stand out to me. I never tried the delivery so I can’t speak to that.

The food is pretty OK, and the prices are lowish, but don’t do delivery. This is the third time recently that I’ve had issues with a delivery order. Tonight, I ordered through Grub Hub at 6PM. About 6:30, I received a text from Grub Hub that my food was coming in about fifteen minutes. At 7:20, I’d heard nothing and called the restaurant, which said their driver had«called ten times»(they hadn’t, since my phone was in my hand the whole time, and I even double checked that my number was correct), and had cancelled my order and thrown out my food. And that I should place another order. No apology, no credit, nothing. I’m not ordering from them again.

We came back for our first date since havin a baby the food was served speedily and is delicious! As always. Order at the counter, receive a number and sit at a table. The business lunch and veggie combo plate are our favorites. From schwarma to hummus, baba ganoush to tzatziki and harissa, it’s authentic and tasty. Yum, yum!

Great place for a good n cheap lunch if you’re feeling like Mediterranean food! It can be crowded for lunch so plan accordingly. Their portions are large and the food hasn’t disappointed me(or anyone I’ve taken) yet.

Med Grill is cheap, authentic, casual, and fast! I love coming here with friends and getting my all time favorite gyro wrap. The price is affordable and I always know exactly what I’ll be getting so this place is always a go-to when I’m looking for something to eat on a casual day. The atmosphere is very friendly which makes it a great hangout location for all ages. During lunch hours(11 – 3 I believe) there is a special combo that come with rice, veggies, piles of meat, and pita bread only for $ 8! I love coming here and would definitely recommend to anyone in the area.

Love this place! Great cheap food. I get the grilled veggie sandwich and greek potatoes, and a Greek salad. Sweet tea is almost the best I’ve had. Really good though.

I order delivery from these guys about once a month. Their tzaiki is on point and their hummus portion is HUGE along with their calamari(real fried squid — not frozen rings). The only thing I don’t really like is their tough pita bread. It’s thin and hard to chew. I much prefer thicker and softer pita triangles. Their kabobs are small for the price so I would go with a combo and get more options. I add a little hot sauce and seasoning at home to the rice. Swing by and pick up an order of hummus that will last for days and pick up your own pita!

Related to: Food quality, and food delivery.(I have not eaten in the restaurant). The food here is pretty-good to very-good. The hummus and the grilled vegetables are usually done nicely. The meat on the whole seems to be a bit dry or over-cooked in my experience, but not terrible. Where this place falls down repeatedly(3 times in a row in my case) is delivery. Two of three times, the order they delivered showed food on my receipt that I ordered, but did not receive on the first delivery.(They had to take another 30 – 40 minutes to return with the rest of the food). No apology, no credit, and not even a coupon for a regular customer whose order they screwed up twice in a row.(I didn’t ask for anything… but I shouldn’t have had to ask). The third instance, I called and they simply said, «we are not delivering tonight». So net: while the food is pretty good and the prices are reasonable, the service and delivery are pretty poor.

Came here for an early-ish dinner last Saturday with a friend(who paid for me, which was nice). Non-food stuff: Some places go for the hole-in-the-wall feel, but it’s a fine balancing act– you overdo it, and it looks a tad more shabby than homey. It’s not really a problem here, but just a comment on it since this is how I typically organize reviews. You order at the counter in the back– there’s a big menu on the wall when you walk in, a smaller menu on the wall behind the counter and a few menus you can pick up, so clearly there’s no problem seeing what there is to eat here. Food stuff: Okay. I had the kufta kabob, which came with a salad w/balsamic dressing, lots of yellow rice and 4 kuftas(pardon if I got the plural wrong). Food was not too heavily seasoned and the portions were a bit larger than average. I also got a piece of the baklava, which was okay– not as crispy as I had hoped, maybe it had been out for a little while? tl;dr: Okay. The food is perfectly adequate, though a little more expensive than I’d value it. I personally prefer Ameer’s– if you can get there and afford to shell out another dollar, go there.

Good value. Slower service during lunch time. Call your order in ahead of time! Had the vegetarian wrap, which was ok, with a fresh, healthy Greek salad. I was definitely stuffed, but I personally like the flavors at Ameer’s better.

Great place to stop in for dinner. Love to order the potatoes and share with the whole group, large order of food for the price. Lunch specials and dinner plates are really nice and the food always has great flavor. I’m happy stopping by this place any day and having a great meal with friends or family.

Mediterranean Grill, or Med Grill as it’s affectionately referred, has just got great food that appeals to all sorts of folks: families, older folks, undergrads, grad students, professors, different cultures, races, etc. It’s nothing flashy or trendy but solid and reliable. As others have noted, if it happens to be between 11 – 3 M-F, it’s all about the business lunch combo which is a huge bargain for the amount of food you receive for $ 7.60. The pitas as part of the combo are a bit flimsy but oh well. Tzatziki sauce is excellent. You can get the combo delivered too; it’s not just dine in only. Shish kabob, gyro, and kufti kabob meats area quite flavorful though can verge on being a hair dry. You can get these as pita sandwiches or as entrees. Regarding appetizers, the dolmas are tasty though perhaps slightly overpriced at six for $ 6.40, though they are of decent heft. Good old Mediterranean Grill. There’s a reason why this place has been in business so long; give Mediterranean Grill a go!

Great Food! I loved every item I chose. I don’t feel guilty eating Greek food because it is healthy, tasty and satisfying. They just need to put a little more hummus on the saucer — LOL! We had the lamb shank, pita, hummus, gyro, shish kabob, two kinds of rice, red lentil soup, something that looked like red beans and salad. I was well fed at lunch and the portion was large enough to take home a doggie bag for din-din. Plus it passed my ‘next day taste test’! What more can I ask for!!! Subsequent visits confirm my initial ratings — the babganoush is fantastic Aside: I like N Decatur location better than the one on Monroe — better tasting all around!!!

I’m pretty sure every student at Emory has tried Med Grill, whether it be in the form of dine in, delivery, or takeout. I’ve eaten here many times and always stick to 2 orders: the gyro plate and the lunch combination special. Gyro plate: This comes with pita, rice, a Greek salad, and slices of gyro meat. The hot sauce and tzatziki sauces on the side complement the gyro meat very well. The meat has always been tender, but very salty. The salad is hit or miss, since it’s often either over– or under-dressed. It’s a substantial amount of food for $ 9. Lunch Special: The lunch special, only available Monday-Friday, consists of shish kabob, kufta kabob, and gyro meat, along with the usual sides of rice, pita, and greek salad. The gyro remains tender, but I’ve found the shish kabob and kufta kabob to be tough and dry on multiple occasions. Drenching it in the tzatziki makes it more palatable. All in all, it’s a great deal for only $ 7.60. Baklava: I’ve found the baklava here to be tooth-achingly sweet and a little bit soggy. The crispness of the pastry is definitely lost under a heavy blanket of sugary syrup. Try Med Grill if you’re looking for large portions, decent gyros, and fast service. Whenever I’ve gone to pick up my order or dined in, I’ve found the service to be brusque and not really friendly. However, they’ve never been rude and I’m just there for some quick grub.

The date and I went here this past Sunday for a quick bite to eat. Healthy, quick, tasty, and cheap. So ordering is rather easy: order at the counter and wait for your number then take a seat to enjoy the food. We both ordered the gyro wrap as it’s something small and easy. Plus, you can’t go wrong with this choice if you’re if-y about what to get. It was made fresh and hot. Their specialty sauce was soaked throughout the wrap with an additional dipping cup. Yum. Though the restaurant was somewhat small, there was still an assortment of spaces to choose from. Parking was pretty plentiful since Mediterranean Grill was in a pretty spacious corner complex at the intersection of N. Decatur Road and Clairmont Road/Ave.

Mediterranean Grill Overall 4⁄5 Food 3.5÷5 Price 5⁄5 Service 5⁄5 Atmosphere 4⁄5 Nutshell: Casual place. Come here for the lunch special ONLY — screw everything else. You will be stuffed beyond belief for $ 8. Oh… and they deliver to. Food 4⁄5: Lunch special had some shwarama, beef kabob, chicken kabob, rice and greek salad. Rice was fluffy. Greek salad was fresh and perfectly balanced with citric notes. The meat was inconsistency flavorful and some dry, but it was still decent food. My speculation was that it was left over meat from the day before(?), or meat about to go bad which contributes to the inconsistency texture and possible flavors. However, due to its sheer quantity, cheap price, and decent flavors makes this place on of the indisputable lunch rush go to places near the university. Additionally, both types of bakalva 3 biters were ok as it was on the sweeter side for me. Price 5⁄5: The lunch special for $ 8 could be easily split into 2 meals with decently sized portions of meat, rice, and salad. Service 5⁄5: The staff is extremely friendly and professional. Can call in to order. Food typically comes out in less than 7 minutes. Atmosphere 4⁄5: This place is decently sized and located in a limited parking lot that it shares with many other popular stores. The décor of this place is a bit old and lacking. BUT since its casual/cheap dining food place where 50% take out, Ill be more lenient. Overall: This place is good. In this instance quantity greater than quality. Will not hesitant to come back ONLY for lunch when I am really hungry. Would recommend this place to anyone. Cheers!

I finally went in to check this place out the other night and now I can’t stop thinking about it. From the outside it looks a bit like an American Deli, which always turned me off, but the food is amazing! The portions are so big(and I’m a big guy) that I have to split it with someone or order a small size. The Gyro with a Greek side salad seems to the the perfect order, and my kids love the Gyro meat place as well. Our family now goes weekly.
