I’ve been here multiple times with friends and my boyfriend and I’ve enjoyed it every time. The acai bowl and the smoothies are great in particular — I recommend the matcha smoothie or the grounded smoothie! Not really for those who enjoy very sweet drinks, but would be perfect for those who seek nutrition and healthy-tasting refreshment! The one down-side about this place is the price. A drink costs just as much as a meal, I’m afraid. But hands down, I would come back… every once in a while.

Pricey, pricey! The beet salad which contained spinach, arugula, beets, goat cheese, and walnuts, cost me $ 11! Way too much for a salad that was nothing special. For that price they should include a protein on there. My friend had the quinoa bowl, which to me looked like a whole lot of quinoa, but not much else like veggies. I realize they’re in downtown Decatur and they have rent to pay, but the kind of salad I got would cost no more than $ 7 anywhere else.

I got the Acai Bowl and a Kale Yeah juice. The Acai bowl was decent, pretty good for outside of California. The juice was the highlight, but I wish there was more veggie and less fruit(tasted very sugary).

My sister and I stopped here last week and we ordered a bunch of drinks and had some shots(Brain On). The service here was extremely good, especially considering we were the only patrons in the store. I love the concept of the place, the name is catchy and the whole décor of Kale Me Crazy is totally awesome. The lady at the bar was very helpful in describing us the different smoothies(Recharge /Brain Wash) that they carry and she added a little agave to sweeten my drink. The quality of the drinks here are good, so do expect to spend some money. Overall, this is a great place to relax and have a healthy drink. I’d give them a solid four stars. We greatly enjoyed the quinoa bowl(less carrot more chickpeas please) and salmon wrap Delicious, fresh, high quality ingredients. Excellent service. My only feedback is that I wish there was more information about specific nutrient content of all the different drink options.

Kale Me is my favorite stop in town for a morning treat. I’m a big fan of the acai bowl, The Grounded smoothie, and any of their green juices. I’ve ordered a couple of their salads and wraps and, although incredibly tasty, I wish the serving size was a little larger. The place has a great, clean vibe and the staff is generally friendly. All in all it’s a great place to go for a quick and healthy start(or end) to your day.

There are a good number of places that have a few vegan items available for purchase in downtown Decatur, but most of them are heavy and focused on lunch/dinner. Kale Me Crazy offers a lighter and fresher option for a breakfast snack or light lunch. The food is freshly prepared, and they don’t have a huge menu, which lets them focus in on doing a few things well, which they do. Worth stopping in if you want a light snack, smoothie or a good lunch.

Went in yesterday after a run and got a green dream smoothie for myself and a recovery smoothie for my husband. They were delicious, refreshing, and healthy. Such an easy and tasty way to include fruits and vegetables into your diet. The employee on duty was kind and answered all of our questions. Can’t wait to go back and try more of the menu.

Quite honestly, I don’t get the 4 and a half stars. I ordered the Tropical Trippin’ smoothie($ 7.00) and the Salmon Wrap($ 12.50), and my mom ordered the Chicken Pesto Wrap($ 10). We split the wraps and shared them. Though the quality was good in both, but the wraps were small and not worth the price. The Salmon Wrap was mostly filled with arugula and the Chicken Pesto Wrap was practically lunch meat. They tasted good, but once again, not worth the price. Smoothie was not bad, but $ 7 for a very average sized smoothie… Holy crap! I’m all for the healthy, organic restaurants that seem to be taking over Atlanta, but this one doesn’t bear repeating for me.

I was in the area so I decided to stop by and get myself a healthy drink. I got the Super Matcha. The description for super matcha is that it contains matcha green tea, blueberries, banana, spinach, chia seeds, agave, and almond milk. That will set you back around 8/9bucks. I don’t quite remember how much it was. Anyways the color of the smoothie wasn’t that green like I thought it was… but more like a brown green. Kind of scary for a first timer like me but the taste wasn’t bad. It gets addicting as I sip on it more and more. Overall I would love to come back and try other drinks. I also want to try their cold pressed juice or their cleansing package.

I came here with a group of friends, and I enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant. The smoothie was delicious and I felt healthy because of the ingredients. I would definitely come here again. Would recommend the tropical trippin! Very fruity and refreshing

The atmosphere is very nice and the place is very clean. The service is great. I tried the acai deluxe bowl and it was so good. I had it for lunch, but I think it would be a perfect breakfast to grab for the mornings. So glad I came here and I’ll be back often, as it is very close to the Emory campus. I feel recharged and healthier!

Kale Me Crazy opened its second Atlanta area location in Decatur on April 28, 2015. This place sells healthy and organic juices, smoothies, shots, salads, and wraps. I’ve been a big fan of Kale Me Crazy’s original location in Inman Park since its opening in 2013 and I’m happy the business has been spreading throughout the metro. Simply put, we need more places like this. The food and drink consist of high quality, nutritious ingredients. Everything is made fresh, served up quick, and tastes great. Best of all, it’s good for you. Kale Me Crazy’s Decatur location is bigger than the Inman Park location. There’s more space to sit, hang, and spread out. Along with a six-person bar, the interior has a long communal table with bench seating, a high-top table for three, and a couple lounge-like waiting chairs. The clean, simple, open, and polished interior is highlighted by awesome, gigantic wall art featuring a woman drinking a Kale Me Crazy green juice(IIRC, the mural was done by Buckhead Murals). In addition, there’s a tree-and-umbrella-shaded patio with four sets of wrought iron tables and chairs. All this is only a few blocks west from the DeKalb History Center(Old Courthouse) and Decatur Square. While Kale Me Crazy is primarily known for its juices, smoothies, and shots, they also sell organic coffee and food like acai bowls and delicious and filling salads and wraps. There are about a dozen salad and wraps to choose from. They run about $ 10 – 12 each. Combos(half salad, half wrap) run about $ 12 – 14 each. I’ve really enjoyed the salads and wraps I’ve had here which include: Salads * Kale Salad — kale, cabbage, quinoa, serrano peppers, scallion, mint, cilantro, craisins, carrots, crushed peanuts, hemp seeds, peanut dressing * Beet Salad — spinach, arugula, tomato, raw beets, walnuts, cucumber, sunflower sprouts, goat cheese, hemp seeds, honey dijon balsamic vinaigrette Wraps * Chicken Pesto Wrap — chicken, basil pesto, sun-dried tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, lettuce, and cucumbers, wrapped in a spinach tortilla, served grilled * Salmon Wrap — wild-caught smoked salmon, organic cream cheese, spinach, arugula, tomato, red onion, capers, and dill, wrapped in a whole wheat tortilla Portion size on the salads is generous. Salads are presented attractively on big square plates. All of the vegetables are raw, ripe, and refreshing. The Kale Salad has plenty of crisp, chopped kale with lots of shredded carrots, crushed peanut, and craisins. The peanut dressing is light and subtly sweet. The Beet Salad is wonderful. My favorite part is the plentiful amount of sunflower sprouts. There’s lot of delectably soft goat cheese along with chopped tomato, cucumber, and spinach leaves, all nicely tossed in an appetizing balsamic dressing. The wraps are straightforward and tasty. Both the Chicken Pesto Wrap and Salmon Wrap are neatly wrapped, flavorful, and satisfying with fresh ingredients. The Chicken Pesto Wrap is served warm and the meat is tender. The smoked salmon is palatable and I love the organic cream cheese and capers. It’s good stuff. Kale Me Crazy’s juices are cold-pressed which means better flavor and nutrient retention. 16-ounce juices run about $ 8 each and there are around a dozen varieties, several bottled daily and ready to go. Ask for samples. Ingredients include kale, spinach, cucumber, apple, Romaine lettuce, chard, celery, carrot, ginger, pear, pineapple, apple, beet, lemon, lime, grapefruit, cayenne, and turmeric. Smoothies, also around a dozen varieties, run about $ 8 – 9 each and are made with additional ingredients such as orange, mango, banana, coconut products, cherries, cashews, almond milk, hemp milk, vegan protein, flax seeds, mint, strawberries, dates, blueberries, chia seeds, agave, almond milk, hemp protein, hemp seeds, cinnamon, raw honey, and more. Smoothies I’ve really enjoyed and have come back to include: * Super Matcha — matcha green tea, blueberries, banana, spinach, chia seeds, agave, almond milk * The Warrior — maca powder, spirulina, goji berries, flax seeds, banana, spinach, hemp milk, vanilla extract, agave * Brain Wash — hemp milk, banana, dates, walnuts, cacao nibs, Udo’s oil, ginko The smoothies are excellent. The Warrior and Brain Wash are thicker and more substantial type smoothies which is one reason why I like them. Maca is a root vegetable also known as Peruvian ginseng. Spirlina, mostly a protein, and Udo’s oil are high in omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. Also high in omega-3 are hemp milk, which gives both smoothies a nutty flavor, and flax seeds, which also add lignans and fiber. Goji berries are nutrient-rich. The cacao nibs give the Brain Wash a hint of chocolate and add antioxidants and minerals. Overall, I think the smoothies are wholesome and gratifying. Service is terrific. The staff is friendly and helpful. Free parking spaces reserved for Kale Me Crazy customers are located next to the building(shared with Decatur CD).

Great service. I walked in minutes from closing but I felt welcomed anyway. It’s a cute place. The seating seemed awkward and it was empty when I got there. It wasn’t surprising since it was a Friday night. I got the gluten free salmon wrap and the Glow(turmeric, grapefruit and pineapple) The juice was good, not overly sweet. I looked at the salmon wrap and thought to myself, «Where is the salmon…». Then I tasted it. The flavors were good! The only thing is the wrap itself had an odd texture and broke a bit, but it’s fine. How much can you expect from gluten free? I’d definitely come here again. I can’t wait for midtown to open so I won’t have to travel all the way to Decatur all the time. I recommend the salmon wrap. :]

My last visit definitely calls for a revision. I ordered the deluxe acai bowl, and it was fantastic. Definitely thicker than my last visit, and all the ingredients fresh and delicious. I also had the recharge smoothie, and it was SOGOOD, this one did impress me. I’d give it more stars, but it’s ridiculously expensive. I had a coupon for ½ off a smoothie, and my bill was over $ 16 for a smoothie and a deluxe acai bowl. Looking forward to my next visit… eventually.

FOOD= The salmon wrap is expensive, but I get it as a special treat because it is really, really tasty. The ingredients are very fresh and flavorful. Recommended. DRINKS= I’ve had the Warrior, Grounded, and Tropical Trippin’ smoothies. All are very good. My favorite is the Grounded. I had the Warrior once and didn’t like it very much, but yesterday one of the employees gave me a sample of it and it tasted much better. The Tropical Trippin’ is my least favorite because it just tastes like a generic fruity smoothie, whereas the other recipes have more unusual(but still tasty) flavor combos. But if you like tropical fruits then you will probably love it. ATMOSPHERE= I rarely see people lounging in here, although there is a big communal table and two low, comfy chairs(sans table). Usually I just make a flyby to grab a smoothie, but yesterday I chilled at the table for a while. There’s an outlet and free, working Wi-Fi. The music was a little too loud for comfortable working, but I bet the staff would have turned it down a bit had I asked. Lots of parking in their private lot that they share with Decatur CD(located to the northeast of the store). SERVICE= Very friendly. SUGGESTION= The first time I came here, I called ahead because I wanted to know if they had parking(a hot commodity in downtown Decatur). The staff said they had a private parking lot located to the right of the store, if facing the storefront. Actually, the parking lot is located to the left of the store, adjacent to Decatur CD(not next to the rug store). I’ve seen lots of people get booted in Decatur, so it’s important to me that the staff knows how to explain where their precious parking lot is located. But this is a really minor suggestion. I deducted a star because I think that everything on the menu is overpriced by about two dollars. The Grounded smoothie, for instance, is around $ 8, and the cup sizes are not very big(only one size option). The salmon wrap is about $ 12. Even with the high quality, I consider these to be Upper East Side/NYC smoothie prices, and that neighborhood has strange priorities.

Only been to 2 Kale Me Crazys… and I think this is the better one of the two(The other one I’ve been to is in the O4W area). If you can’t see their sign — look out for Decatur CD. Located right next to that shop. Parking — not amazing but not bad at all. They have a parking lot next to Decatur CD. There is a random lot next to Kale Me Crazy, but unsure if you’re allowed to park there. I’d just park next to Decatur CD where they have spots just for Kale Me Crazy. Better to be safe than sorry. Parking tickets aren’t really fun… Space — A bit bigger than the O4W one. Not cramped. Yay! They do have indoor and outdoor seating. Plus since Decatur is known to be a place to walk around while hanging out with people, this spot is good. Prices per drink are a little steep. $ 8 for my smoothie. Usually I run away from this,… but so healthy… and tastes good… hard to stay away. The food as well is pricey — so I’d stick with smoothies. Service is good. No complaints.

America is obsessed with eating healthy and most of time at the cost of the taste. Kale Me Crazy make sure it tastes good. The smoothies are rich with flavor and at times makes you question if its even good for you. This place is more of a take out spot, space is rather limited to few tables and seating at the counter so don’t expect to be dining in. Overall, I really like this place and if I’m near one I always try to hit it up. It’s pricey, but the quality makes it worth it. My Recommendations: –Recovery smoothie –Watermelon juice(seasonal) Menu:

Me and my girlfriend hadn’t noticed this place before so decided to give it a try. Fortunately for a Decatur location, there’s plenty of parking in the back of the building. We ordered two smoothies: the Super Matcha and the Kale-icious. Both were really refreshing. We will probably come by again for some of their food items.
