My husband and I just discovered this restaurant a few weeks ago. It is a really cute place located downtown Decatur. Loved the lamb meat. Definitely a unique place. The staff was very friendly and made great suggestions. We will definitely come back again.

Had a fantastic gyro from there at a third Friday, and then part of my girlfriends at a later date. Am writing this while watching the Unilocal episode from south park for added emphasis.

Huge fan of Gyros, and Gyro Uno does not disappoint. One of our favorite places for takeout. The only thing I’ve had that I didn’t care for was the fallafel(but I make them at home, so I could be biased).

Awesome food. Everything is great. The falafel is the best in North alabama. Friendly staff, they make you feel right at home. We eat there 3 or 4 times a month and it’s always good. My husband loves the chicken BLT gyro. Always good. They also have the best fries around. And I can’t say enough about the homemade baklava. It’s prefect.

Well I thought I was going to walk out of there just nit picking everything about this fast food gyro because Papa Gyro’s in Huntsville has stolen my heart. But my expectations were exceeded by the delicious lamb and beef on a warm whole wheat pita. First of all I was impressed that I could get a whole wheat pita and second of all I was impressed that it was delicious, perfectly chewy, and held all that lamb/beef love in without falling apart for the 30 seconds it took for me to devour it. Maybe it took me more than 30 seconds but I really did devour it because it was so good. The lamb and beef rotisserie meat was plentiful and so tender. It had plenty of flavor as well. The tzatziki sauce was swimming over the meat in a creamy river. It wasn’t overly tangy and I enjoyed the hint of dill flavor. Really the only thing I could distinguish that they don’t do as well as Papa’s is taking as much effort with their toppings. Papa’s adds several finely chopped veggies that really gives the gyro some oomph. Here the feta was on the bottom and not apparent in the overall taste. The lettuce is cut into large chunks and just thrown into the meat. I only tasted onion in one bite. But I’m aware this is fast food and presentation suffers with speed. I still think any Greek cuisine lover should enjoy a stop in for a gyro although you won’t find an extensive menu with a lot of Greek specialties. 2nd Trip: Got the Greek salad with lamb and beef gyro. Not quite as flavorful as Papa Gyros because there’s less toppings and the dressing isn’t as yummy.
