Time and again great chaat establishments appear but then lack of menu changes and not proper attention to upkeep they soon disappear. But this chaat house continues to deliver outstanding flavors and keeping its patrons asking for more. Very clean unlike many other chaat places around, with a flashy décor, making it a fun energizing environment. With their efficient staff and swift service it’s no surprise to see with its location always packed, things still move very smoothly and never have I experienced a delay in my order. As for food, I’d highly recommend their Special Chaat. It’s a blend between Karachi chaat and Dahi Papdi with dices of mango making it great for a summer treat. If you are in the mood for Indian/Pakistani street food then this is your best option.

Most Garbage I ever ate. The name should be Kachra Patti instead of Chat Patti. I ordered a veg Thali. I had to order a chain saw to cut the Roti. My child ordered Pav Bhaji. It was trash. I hate it. I do not recommend anyone to go there.

I have only ever bought the Thalis here — both Delux and normal. They are delicious! The quantity is very good for the price. They give 3 different curries with the Delux thali and 2 with the normal thali all of which were very good! The service is fast and the place is clean too. Recommend it!

Love this place. Used to live in Atlanta and on a return trip went out of our way to go here and I was not disappointed. It is just as excellent as I remember. Love love love their chaat!

The food is good and the portions huge. I felt like I was back at one of those Indian restaurants in Kolkata. The atmosphere is very casual and kid friendly, the noise level, though, was a bit overwhelming.

Stumbled in after visiting Chapotti, next door. We weren’t as impressed here with the service. We were curious to try some of the sweets they had but couldn’t find much guidance on the ingredients. We ended up with a bunch of sweets that we blindly choose. They weren’t all that great. The veggie puffs are tasty!

Their chaats and dosas are really good! My favs are masala dosa and Karachi chaat. The dosas are really big and crispy and the give a good amount amount sambhar with it. The chaat has a good amount of sauce on them which is awesome. The only thing I didn’t like is the Chole batura. The batura bread doesn’t taste that good to me.

Insanely spicy food even by indian standards… If you are going with hungry kids only options are sweets and lassi which were good.

Veggie Lovers Heaven! Growing up, my family and I would visit the original location off of N. Druid Hills Rd. on a weekly basis. If your lost and don’t know what to order they have plenty of pictures to give you ideas and it’s family owned and operated, feel free to ask them they’re awesome! The classic to order is a Thali, a variety of mixed lentils and vegetables to eat with roti(thin tortilla like bread) and rice. Some of my favorites Papdi Chaat, Aloo Tikki, Pav Bhaji and Behl. Some of the dishes are also known as street food in India, similar to gyros, hot dogs and pizza slices in the US but it’s much healthier!

They used to be in a different area and not too long ago moved from the old location to this new location. They kind of went too far in the decorations — it looks like an old aged disco! LED lights, glossy tiles, way too bright for its own good. That being said, its a great place for Indian snacks of all kind. Very friendly service, food is nice, and the décor is guaranteed to brighten up your day… literally.

What a find in Atlanta! This all vegetarian restaurant located in the Indian inspired plaza was a gem. The variety of dishes available was amazing. From chaat dishes to pav bhaji to idli sambhar to the simple khichdi, this restaurant featured the best in Indian dishes. The meals were fresh, tasty, and very affordable. There were sweets available for dessert and lots of snacks available for purchase. For two people, we had an amazing meal for $ 10. That’s pretty amazing. I know where we are going the next time we are in Atlanta!

I am of Indian and specifically Gujurati origin, exactly from the part of India where this sort of Vegetarian food is created and vastly enjoyed. Having said that this is the BESTINDIANVEG food out here. From my review history, I RARELY give a place 5 stars and even with the ultracritical tastebuds of a Gujurati, this place passes my test. The success of this place hinges on the owner and his wife who have slaved away to create a name and level of consistency at Chat Patti. It’s so funny, these guys close down the restaurant for a few months every winter and run off to India to take advantage of the great weather, and when he returns his customers do too. I’m assuming with the new location that will not be the case since the staff seems to be running it right. Will report any flavors that aren’t what I expect. I would recommend getting Samosa Chat, Bhel Puri, Pav Bhaji, Chole Bauteray, and if you are really hungry/thc-induced get the all veg thali. You will not go wrong. Once again best veg indian restaurant in Atlanta Metro Area.

Decent ambience and tasty vegetarian food. The service is good and the serers are pretty attentive. They have numerous vegetarian options ranging from Rajastani — Gujrati — Maharashtrian — bengali — South India. The food is definitely tasty and also very reasonable for the portions. The only downside this place has is, it is very disorganized and loud.

This place is my go-to for Southern Indian food in Atlanta. They have a solid selection of snacks, and the Thali is always delicious(and huge) at a great price. Favorite things to order: Mysore Onion Uttapam — this is what pushed my date to being a faithful customer. Great batter mix, with enough spice to keep me interested but not so much to turn him off. Chat Patti Special Chat — for simplicity we can call this ‘Indian Nachos.’ Regardless of what it reminds you of, it is absolutely delicious. You get crunch and tamarind and mint. Yum! There’s not a whole lot that I would want them to improve on. I think the sambar could generally be more flavorful. But that’s it. On top of the food, the waitstaff is extremely friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend this place.

You can find Chat Patti at 1707 Church Street Suite C7, Decatur 30033 in Patel Plaza, the same shopping center anchored by Patel Bros. This is a new location for the restaurant formerly off of N Druid Hills Rd. This restaurant specializes more in what you would find in India as vegetarian street food — the prices are very reasonable and the food very good. A chat or more commonly chaat is a snacky food you would buy from a roadside vendor. It usually starts with a bit of fried dough, samosa or similar and then is made more flavorful through an assortment of toppings, veggies like onion, chick peas, fresh herbs, curries, chutneys and sauces. I saw puris and regular vegetarian dishes as well so the restaurant is fairly well rounded. Chat Patti is basically brand-spanking new on the interior with festive, modernist elements that would make any US fast-casual restaurant proud. This place stays busy and it can be hard to get a table, especially on the weekends but you should order anyway as most of the people eating finish up fairly quickly. Ordering is done at the counter and they bring your food to you at small tables. I found the service quite good with the various employees very attentive. I like to sample a lot of items so I chose the veggie thali plate — if you haven’t tried one before you should as these offer small dishes on a large oval or round platter with an assortment of foods — I saw some during my stay in India that were massive with a dozen or more items. I thought this massive platter(15 or so inches in diameter) had some awesome variation including 3 curries, soup, a chaat, rice, papadum, chapatis and a bit of dessert. It was quite good and extremely filling. We also ordered one of my favorite dishes, a Masala Dosa. This is a thin crêpe-like pancake rolled over a compote of curried potatoes, served with coconut chutney and sambar. They had several variations so I’m not quite sure what we received. The flavors and size of the Dosas at Chat Patti are superb. We made quite a meal out of these two items and left very stuffed indeed. The flavors were spot on and the prices super reasonable(especially when compared to one of my favorites, Chai Pani in downtown Decatur). What are you waiting for? Kripyā bhojan kā ānnad lijīyai!

So the story goes: Chat Patti’s previous location was in a plaza off of N. Druid Hills somewhere. We had been there before and really enjoyed the food. More recently, these folks moved to the newly renovated Patel Brothers Plaza in Decatur. WOW. The décor here is simply breathtaking. Flashy neon lights lure passers-by inside. A giant glass-windowed counter showcases Chat Patti’s tasty Mithai treats(available to package and take-out). Flashing neon siding on the glass and bright colors inside create a superbly vibrant atmosphere. Upon entrance, the folks behind the counter are quick to greet you, hand you a paper-menu, and help you find your seat. A large menu with an array of items and corresponding photos sits above the counter. After taking our order, the waitress ensured our water glasses remained full, brought out our food, and kindly met our requests. We were blown away by the unexpectedly exceptional service. I was fortunate to have tried the Mysore Masala Dosa, Chinese Dosa, and Mirch Chaat. The dosas were surprisingly large and were accompanied by excellent chatnis and sambhar. Be sure to inquire about the Chinese dosa(the apparent special of the day) — an interesting blend of Haka noodles encased in a terrific dosa! Ooo the mirch chaat lives up to his name and delivers a strong spice punch. It’s made with a terrific blend of jalapeño chillies, chole, and some fried bits. Bottom line: we have a new favorite, go-to spot when we visit the Patel Brother’s Shopping Plaza — Chat Patti 5-star!

Atlanta’s best chaat house is back. After the closing soon came up on the Druid Hills loc I was certainly sad. But now they are back with a bang. Modern décor with same scrumptious dishes, it’s certainly hands down the best chaat house if not USA but for sure in Atlanta.
