The food is pretty great. Some dishes were definitely on the salty side, but we seem to always finish all of our food. The chicken curry was awesome as was the sag paneer. Always love a cup of their dhaal too. They also have some fantastic homemade chutneys and sauces that are delicious.

Decided to try for the first time for a quick lunch. Sat on the outside patio. Enjoyed a nice refreshing cocktail. Ordered garlic naan and chicken biryani. It was delicious! Well seasoned. Flavorful. Nice amount of spice. Really good presentation. I wish the chicken had been cut up into smaller bite sized pieces. Garlic naan was good also. So was the roti my friend ordered. I will definitely return.

As much as I try and try to keep loving this Bhojanic it’s just not working anymore. The past say 4 times we’ve been here it just wasn’t good. I think they have spent so much time and energy into the Buckhead location they left this one to slack. I see it closing down. It’s that bad! No way at lunch should it be empty. No way at dinner on a Friday should it be empty. Food does not taste fresh anymore. Like it was pre-made just sitting around. Came out cold. Every single time! Lacking the spicy beautiful taste that made us fall in love. The food takes extremely long to come out which is a bummer since again, the place is always empty now. I will say even though they really can’t keep a staff, p the ones they bring in are always awesome and really pleasant. Sad! We really use to love this place.

The food here is quite good if only their service was a little better. We went on a Tuesday night so it wasn’t busy. We waited to be seat and the hostess stop to answer the phone before seating us after saying«follow me». I thought it might have been the fact that they were understaffed, but there were at least 2 other staffs there. The hostess was quite friendly, but I felt she did all the work while the rest were wallflowers. If we were in a rush, we were have been agitated. Luckily, we were not. We order the lamb curry with traditional naan. The lamb was tender and braised nicely. It came with rice and mango chutney. The hostess also gave us spiced pickled peppers. She was shocked how hot we liked our food. Hopefully, she will remember us next time and make it spicier. I’ve tried a ton of mango lassies around town and this place does have the best mango lassie in Atlanta. In fact, this location has better mango lassie than the buckhead location. The décor of the restaurant is a modern Indian atmosphere. There are great paintings of krishna with a modern twist all of the restaurant. There is a full bar and a relax feel to the place. The food is on point and they would have gotten 4 stars if their service was on point as well. The hostess which might have been the manager or owner just did all work.(She sat us, took our order, bought our food and drinks, took our plates, and checked us out and she wasn’t even the wait staff). A simple 1 hour dinner became almost 2 hours

Summary: Pricey for what you get, but try the Dhai puri, chicken tikka masala, sag paneer(Indian street food with hard rounds with yogurt, potato, and tamarind sauce inside, chicken with a tomato base, and spinach with cheese) I was pleasantly surprised at my visit to Bhojanic. A couple of my Indian friends have found their food to be bland compared to other Indian places, but I thought everything was really good. My mom and I came here for lunch and we split the lunch express combo with some dhai puri. We chose the mini thali with chicken tikka masala, sag paneer, and a half-samosa. The«mini thali» was perfect portion for both of us to split. It came with rice, yogurt(raita), and roti(bread) as well. We also received a drink.($ 12) The half-samosa was great. The outside was crispy. The inside was warm potatoes full of spices. It came with the typical tamarind sauce and what I call«green chutney». Both of the sauces were good too, but not different from other places. It was small, but since it was heavy, half of a half of a samosa was a good portion. The chicken tikka masala and sag paneer were both creamy and flavorful. We don’t like as spicy as most Indians so it was perfect for us spicey-wise. The yogurt was a little sweeter than what we’re use to, but it was good with the rice. If you’re super hungry, you could probably easily finish your own thali, but with the dhai puri appetizer my mom and I were stuffed. The dhai puri appetizer comes with 6 rounds of a hard shell. They poke a hole inside and put yogurt, potatoes, tamarind sauce, and a couple of other things in it. Don’t let it sit too long or the round will get soggy. They were amazing! I highly recommend those. The only reason why I took off a star is because compared to other Indian places, this place is considered pricey. $ 12 for one person at lunch is higher than a lot of other places.

I was really disappointed with the service. After reading reviews on Unilocal,I decided to check it out. The food held up to its reputation, and was really good. It didn’t feel too heavy afterwards, which is a good thing. The only thing I didn’t like was the service. As a vegetarian, I ordered vegetarian appetizers and a vegetarian thali. I asked for the Paneer 65, but instead they accidentally gave me Chicken 65. I didn’t realize immediately that it wasn’t vegetarian. They were kind about it though and gladly changed it out for Pander 65, and gave me a 5 $ coupon.(I was disappointed that the coupon couldn’t be used on my current meal though). At the end of the meal, I asked for dessert. It turned out that they didn’t have their weekly special. Why was it listed on their if you can’t serve it!

Visiting Atlanta, came here based on customer reviews. Had a samosa, was good, not dry like other places. The chutnies had good amount of spice that complimented the samosa well. I had the chicken biriyani, was pretty good(I’m Indian myself and have tried biriyani from many different places). The raita came with the tomato cucumber and onion salad separate. It was topped with spices and so was very fresh and went very well with the raita and biriyani. The biriyani I could tell was twice baked, first from the original preparation and second right before the dish was bright out, so it had a slightly crispy texture on the surface. Nice touch. My fiancée had the thali with okra, saag paneer, and chicken tikka masala. The tikka was a bit salty, and texture seemed a little over cooked. Otherwise the veggies, raitha, chapathi and pullao were really good. Had the mini mango mousse cake and the chocolate ganache, both good as well. They were out of kulfi. I went during the day with my fiancé so the décor seemed decent all though the layout seemed pretty plain, however they had contemporary Indian art on the wall. From the layout it looked like it would probably have a better feel at night. Would definitely come again.

Had a fantastic meal there last night. We had the mixed pakora(delicious!) and vegetarian thali. I had the two veg and my friend got the three choice. The thali tray are kitschy and display the food very nicely. I think the three-veg option is a better deal, but we both had leftovers and I love to eat. The saag paneer was spicy, luscious, and had browned paneer in it. That alone makes me want to go back there – too many places just lump plain paneer cubes into the greens and that lacks flavor. Cocktails were very good. The Spring Equinox was sweeter that I thought but so seasonally appropriate. The lychee martini knocked my friend out(not literally). A great value and there are lots of other yummy-looking choices on the drinks menu. Service was good. Our waiter was friendly, which is superior to most service in Decatur, frankly. My friend thought he could’ve been more solicitous but I don’t like having the waiter in my face every five minutes. I never felt like I was waiting for anything and I didn’t have to wait for the check, which is a pet peeve. I definitely look forward to going back!

We’ve been to both Bhojanic locations(Buckhead & Decatur) & we like the food better at the Decatur location. I think the food’s pretty good but everything’s slightly overpriced for tapa-size items. ~ pakora platter — probably won’t order this again… deep fried vegetables in chickpea batter ~ roti canai — curry w/Indian pancake — pretty good ~ chicken 65 — delicious! I think this was my favorite ~ chicken biryani — great flavors & decent portion ~ garlic naan — didn’t have enough garlic… actually I don’t think I could taste any hint of garlic at all Pretty good service. Private lot shared with other businesses.

I used to really like this place but it seems like their quality has slipped. We stopped in today, we seated right away and there was no one else in the place at around 12:30 on a Sunday. I was surprised by that. We order two chicken tika masala and it was very uninspiring. It wasn’t creamy it was more like pureed tomatoes with a lot of spice. Everything was just okay. Doubt we’ll come back again especially with the plethora of Indian restaurants in Atlanta.

Worst Food for south Indians. If you are a south Indian never go to this place, all the items are very very bad… I tried appetizers, biryani and thalli … All are bad…

I went to Bhojanic for lunch on a Monday and loved it. Yes, the service is slow, but in today’s fast paced, cellphone-addicted world, I appreciated sitting back, relaxing, and enjoying my lunch and conversation with my girl friend. If you go out to dinner or lunch, you should be there to fully experience the food, drinks and ambiance and not be rushing. The décor is classy but not overbearing and the server John was sweet. The thali platters were the star of the show, I went all vegan and my friend did one meat and two veggies. We were stuffed and yes, the cocktails were strong but clearly meant to be drank with the food. They warned us of the heat of the food, and told us they could turn it up as needed! Can’t wait to go back, it’s not easy finding affordable unique cuisines in Atlanta!

Inauthentic, overpriced, and over-hyped Bhojanic’s food will satisfy the following people: 1. those who don’t really like Indian food and couldn’t care less to try 2. those who aren’t concerned by a majority non-Indian waitstaff 3. those who think words like presentation, zing, and pizazz apply to good Indian food If you must dine here, go when it isn’t crowded during lunch. This restaurant offers no value to the seekers of Atlanta’s best Indian food.

The last time I went there, they gave me a chicken wing and other left over unidentifiable chicken parts in my curry. No thanks.

3.5 stars Located in the same plaza as Community BBQ, Nectar, etc., this is a great place to get some authentic Indian food. I only can say authentic because some friends from India cannot stop raving about this place and how the food here reminds them so much of home. So, I’ll take their word that this place is authentic. The food is delicious, although can get pricey. For the best bang for your buck(or if you just want to try Indian food and don’t know what to get), I recommend getting a thali, or traditional Indian combination platter. You get to choose different combos of meats and veggies. Also, the mango lassi = love.

I came here with a friend and we really enjoyed the food here. This was my friends 2nd time to this restaurant and my first time. The presentation was a little funny, our entrée of Thalis was served on metal trays that look like the adult version of what was served in a school cafeteria. But the food was delicious. A note about authenticity: My friend’s original visit here was with a friend from India. He had never been to American before and he said the food here was truly good. Although he said the décor is nothing like they have in India. I thought it looked Indian, but I’ve never been to India myself. But at least you know someone from India gave it the thumbs up! Here’s what we ordered: 2 Tappas: — Eggplant Makki which was my favorite of the two. The«cornbread» it comes with is perfect with the the melt in your mouth roasted eggplant. it’s serve almost like a spread. You just scoop some up with your spoon an spread it over the flat«cornbread». — The other appetizer was called Methi Parratha with fried egg — It was a flat bread with many spices baked in it and a fried egg in between them. It looks like a extra thin flat bread sandwich. It’s served with 2 dips, the mango chutney was Amazing and I can’t remember the 2nd one. guess the 2nd was less amazing. Entrees: I order the Thalis which is a combination platter. As I mentioned before it was served on metal trays with sections that separate the food. I ordered the lamb meat and as a vegetable I forgot the name but it was like creamed spinach. I loved both dishes very much and would order it again. Dessert: Originally I wanted to order the Safron cheesecake because one of the waiters highly recommended it. He was so sure of it, he said we would want come back the next day for it. Unfortunately once we put our order in, our waitress told us they were out of it. So we were so disappointed after all the hype the other waiter gave us. We ended up ordering the Chocolate Raspberry mouse cake, which was good but not something I would order again. Drinks — I ordered the mojito, ehh. I’ve had better. The worst thing I have to say about this place was that their tap water tasted funny. I ended up ordering bottled water. The waitress was very nice and did her best to answer our questions. We even complained that the temperature was a little warm to our comfort zone and she got the manager to fix that for us immediately. I will go again soon and bring my husband, I am sure he will love it. 6÷15÷2014 So I did come back with my husband an can confirm the food and service was still good. I ordered some things I had during my first visit because I liked them so much. The new things we ordered were: Tapas — Tandoori wings. Thumbs up! Meat with my Thalis was was chicken masala. It was tender and flavorful. Not to spicy. What I can note is the meat portion is not big, I actually think its on the small side. But the Thalis which is a combination platter comes with rice, vegetable of your choice, some kind of pita good for dipping your sauce, a yogurt sauce and bean mixture which I did not eat because I didn’t care for it. But I was full because everything else on the tray besides the beans. My husband and I also ordered 3 tapas. So with my hefty appetite I dont think the Thalis would completely fill me up. Maybe a normal person with the correct appetite. .lol. Dessert — as full as I was after tapas and thalis theres always room for dessert. I ordered the saffron cheesecake and seriously LOVE it. It was creamy and rich with pieces if pistachios in it. Drizzled with a mango purée. I could possibly drive all the way there to pick up a piece of this cheesecake on its own. Drinks I forget the name of the drink but o know it was made of bombay sapphire gin and indian lemonade. I dont even like gin but ordered it anyway to try. And I can say I now like gin with lemonade. It was one of the drinks that was sweet but not too sweet. Thumbs up and much bettter than the mojito I had last time. Also my previous comment I said the water tasted weird. This time it was fine. Service — a different waitress and she was excellent as well. She was more on the professional side but she was older than my last service so I suppose that comes with age. Cost — 2 alcoholic beverages, 3 appetizers, 2 entrees and 1 dessert. Cost was about $ 75 including tax. We added a 20% tip. Not bad I have to say.

I decided tonight that I was in the mood for some Indian food. I was on the way to Chai Pani but I discovered that they unfortunately close early. After doing a bit of research, I came across Bhojanic. I read a few reviews here and there and it seemed like a good idea. I arrived around 9PM to a half-empty restaurant. Not a big deal. It’s late on a Monday night. So I was seated immediately. The décor was nice. Simple. Not tacky. I was really digging the Bollywood inspired music too. Five minutes go by and my server comes over to say hello and ask if I had ever been to Bhojanic before. I said no and he explained the menu a bit to me. Unfortunately, he was a tad bit awkward and was having a hard time communicating with me. Again. No big deal. Maybe he was nervous. I asked him to bring me an Indian Chai tea and it came almost immediately. I took a few sips and decided it was good. Just a tad bit of sugar would make it even better. But wait… where’d the server go? Five minutes passed and he was nowhere to be found. Finally, after 7 minutes(and yes I timed it), he came around and took my order. My server convinced me to order the Alu Tikki as an appetizer. I must say. It was quite delicious. It was piping hot and super flavorful. Two fried potato pancakes served with a mint and tamarind chutney and topped with a chickpea curry. Yum. As an entrée, I was feeling gluttonous. So I opted for a thali. Essentially, it’s a smörgåsbord of different dishes served with raita, chapati, papadam, basmati rice and a side salad. Don’t judge me. I just wanted to taste as much as possible as this was my first time dining here. I chose the Bhojanic thali which allowed me to choose 1 meat and 2 veggie options. I went with the chicken tikka masala as my meat. It was excellent. The tomatoes in the sauce didn’t taste canned or jarred like I’m used to. They were fresh. For veggies, I got the Punjabi Kardi(onion dumplings in a yogurt-based curry sauce) and the Jhol Alu(potatoes and a ginger in a tomato-based gravy). Overall good flavors. Fresh. Not overly salted. And best of all, balanced. In a last minute show of gluttony, I decided that I wanted some naan. So I ordered the garlic naan. 3 minutes later I was chewing on some delicious tandoori-baked bread with lovely bits of garlic, velvety butter and fresh parsley. I would’ve given Bhojanic 5 stars had it not been for the service. Something about my server was off. When I asked for a box(Bjojanic gives generous portions so you’ll most likely take something home), he brought me the smallest they had. And I had quite a bit leftover. So I asked him for another and he looked at me confused. Not sure what the big deal was. I’d say A+ on food and a C+ on service rounding out to a solid B+. Gonna have to come back again with friends.
