Truan’s Candies

I have lived in the Dearborn/​Dearborn Heights area for 26 years and never had Truan’s candies. I went to Westborn and they had a huge turtle which is one of my favorites. I bought it and couldn’t believe how good it was. The back said Truan’s. Finally the olé brain kicked in and said — I think I saw that on Ford Road. I was raised on Sydney Bogg’s chocolates and have never found any candy as good as that. Truan’s is it. You walk into the store and it’s nothing fancy, that’s for sure. But the candy — oh, the candy. I foolishly went in for Valentine’s Day and all the men were in line for their sweetheart box. They handled the line quickly and everyone was polite. I know there’s another one in Detroit but have never been. Wherever you are, stop in at Truan’s for some good stuff!
