This place is right next to Julie’s Café – which my boyfriend and I love, so we thought we’d give Brickhouse a try. We were greeted by a not so enthusiastic hostess(which also ended up being our waitress). We were seated and then basically forgotten. About 15 minutes after being seated we were asked what we would like to drink. I asked the waitress for a menu, since we didn’t have one at our table. She huffed and walked away. It took another 15 minutes for her to get back to us. At this point she finally took our order(after 30 minutes of waiting). It took ANOTHER40 minutes to get our food, which, by the time it got to use wasn’t even that good. The burgers were too greasy and fell apart very easily – the fires were just ok. The bill ended up being really high for what we got. It just wasn’t worth it. We were very disappointed to say the least. We won’t be back.

Great local bar with many burger choices. Friendly bartender and wait staff. Tons of beer choices. Loved the patio, just too hot for dinner.

4 stars food 5 stars atmosphere 4.5 stars beer Fish tacos needed something bright. The egg-cellent burger(only egg and bacon) egg was cooked perfectly. Kids grilled cheese had actual cheddar(or you fooled me). Will be back soon oh! Almost forgot the homemade pickles… Nice variety

We went to the Brickhouse because they have an outdoor patio. It’s a beautiful Memorial Day and we didn’t want to spend any of it inside. When we arrived we noticed that there were no umbrella’s put up for any of the tables outside. It was very sunny and in the mid-80’s. We asked a worker if they were going to put any umbrella’s up. He came back after checking with someone and was told«No, because it’s too windy out.» Mind you… there was little to NO wind. That’s not called wind, that’s called being lazy. We drove away shaking our heads. Hopefully the effort they saved not putting an umbrella up for us was worth losing our business over.

Good place if you’re looking for something other than your run of the mill burger. Nice variety of specialty burgers or you can create your own. Good selection of craft beers and other drinks are available. All burger orders come with a pickle plate, consisting of dill, spicy dill, and bread and butter pickles which is a nice touch that they hadn’t had before. The food was prepared well and served hot. Didn’t take very long and the staff was very nice.

What an unexpected and fantastic restaurant! Great spacious bar area with plenty of charm to boot. And though we were too sunburnt already to take advantage, they also had a great patio area. I could see this being a really fun venue for live music, though we were here on a Saturday afternoon and not much was happening. In any event, the burgers were out of this world and word on the street is all of their food is locally sourced. PLUS and most importantly, they have a great tap selection. I was thoroughly impressed that this off the beaten path locale was hosting a truly bold rare beer tapping.(That is obviously what brought us here in the first place. ;)) We staked out prime spots at the bar early on and then basked in the glory of being front row for all of the beer we’ve been searching high and low for at all of the local(and some even not so local) beer stops. Very, very cool!

I wanted to love this place. The space is great, the location is great, parking is ideal, etc. But the huge con for our party of 7 was the service. Service was clearly a work in progress. I am of the opinion that the reason is simply youth/inexperience/lack of training. Our server was certainly pleasant and kind, but she lacked a sense of urgency/bounce in her step, had minimal knowledge of the liquor behind the bar, did not provide beer menus or cocktail/wine lists, did not provide waters for the table(had to ask twice), and seemed to have an aversion to clearing the table. We were a party of 6 adults and 1 child. We arrived at 5pm on a Saturday, so they were certainly not busy at this time, although I’ll cut her some slack because I am sure her shift was just getting started. Regardless, we were all having cocktails/wine/beer, appetizers and dinner. From the start, she should have recognized that had she done a good job, a nice tip would have amounted for her. For majority of the dining experience, we had dishes stacked on either end of the table that were waiting to be cleared(glassware, appetizer plates, etc.), and without us saying«we are done with those» they likely would not have been cleared. Three of the dishes ordered were extremely spicy. One dish had to be sent back due to the jalapenos in it. This was the Chipotle fish tacos. If you are on the fence with spice, avoid anything that has chipotle in it. It’s not a light spice, it has a solid kick. Two of us got the BLT and scraped off the chipotle mayo. I think that we could have dealt with the slow start to the dinner had the service picked up throughout the night, but it just didn’t. Those that ordered burgers did enjoy them. Our server was sweet, but you could tell there was a lack of training or situational awareness. I’ll give this place another shot if I am in the area, but hesitate to recommend. We enjoyed the complimentary shuffle board!

We were in town visiting my in-laws and my mother-in-law recommended this restaurant. Looking at the menu it sounded great as we love burgers. We ordered the cheese curds as an appetizer. So salty! My husband did enjoy them. My downfall was the build your own burger, but as a vegetarian, I did not see a decent premade veggie option. The topping options were not exciting and I think I came up with a bad combo. Because it wasn’t an exciting or good flavor combo for me. I had the portabella burger with provolone, onions, tomato, arugula, mushrooms, chips and I think a basil sauce. I was really surprised that the chips were not homemade. Store bought and salty. I would have thought with the type of restaurant that they are they would have made their own. I took all of them off the burger. The portabella was cooked well. The bun was really dried out and unappetizing. I got the truffle fries which were also quite salty. I did not finish my meal. My husband enjoyed his burger, and my son ate all of his chicken fingers. Wished they would have had a veggie or fruit option for the kids meal. My mother in law had a burger that she had had before. She said it was not quite as good. She also found the food salty this time, and is a salt fan herself. Service was ok. My husband had his drink refilled without asking twice, which was great. But my mother-in-law’s was not refilled at all. Based on other reviews, I’m hoping this was an off night for them. We love burgers so this would be a great go-to when we visit the in-laws.

One of the best places in Brown county area. Very flavorful food, friendly and fun atmosphere and location and great staff. The beer battered fries are very unique and taste great. Use fresh and local ingredients so you can really taste the difference.

First time here… Staff was friendly and helpful. I thought beers and drinks were a little pricey but not enough to keep me from coming back. Burger was the best I have had in a long time. I ordered the«Widow Maker», which could have been spicier, but was still excellent in taste and cooked to my liking. I’m moving to the area soon and will be lucky enough to only be a few blocks away. They will be seeing us often.

Great staff, friendly people, beautiful building and more great live music! I would love to see some vegan options on here just to draw in that crowd too! Always great to see two or three great options beside a lettuce salad topped a tomatoe.(We are THE most viral people ya know?! You tell one, you tell ‘em all!) But come in regardless, it’s a great stop here in De Pere, WI. Great beer and smiling and accommodating faces! There’s even Julie’s Café in the back(connected to the bar) serving up their diner style food and warm coffee. Amazing staff there too! Best of luck guys!

Great Food and Great Beer. We stopped here on a whim on a girlfriend day trip and it was amazing! The menu is unique and flavorful. The selection of beer is outstanding. Something for everyone. I love that they use local resources for the food and beer. Everything is made from scratch from local ingredients, even the pickles! The service was stellar, our waitress was attentive even though it was fairly busy(dinner rush) I had the Macandcheeze Burger, yum! Who doesn’t love cheese in WI? And my friend got the classic Poutine. The gravy was a little on the sweet side for my liking for a whole serving but great as a small side. My friend however loved it and would have went back for seconds! We both got the Green Bay Flight and are avid beer drinkers– you featured a lot of fruit drinks this flight which paired well with the food. I unfortunately had to leave one beer behind, just wasn’t’ for me. We will definitely be back and I have already shared with coworkers are they are excited to come try it out as well!

Excellent! Great place to eat on the way to Packer Game! Friendly staff and laid back environment. Food was great and high quality. Not just an average burger. Gourmet at a good price.

Great service, great beer, great burgers. I ordered the Egg-selent burger and it seriously was excellent. I was only able to eat half of it. Was able to add some additional sauces on the side to enhance my experience. I had the«spicy» Bloody Mary, expecting it to be Midwestern spicy. Boy, was I wrong. Spicy and flavorful and full of great snacks. I would come here again and again with friends.

I’ve been here 4 times now and I really want to like it more but the food quality has been very inconsistent from poor to average. The burger buns are a great choice for the type of burgers they serve; however, the hamburger itself has usually been under seasoned and over cooked. Most of the other main dishes served are average at best. The cheese curds and, and strangely sweet, coconut curry soup need to rethought.

Went here for lunch on a whim with my husband yesterday. We were promptly seated by the window at a table that was not exactly stable. We asked to share a beer flight between the two of us while waiting for our food which was a great choice. We shared the classic burger and both got the Thai soup. Classic burger– it was rather large I am glad we shared and had a bit too much mayo on it. It was a bit messy but it was okay. I figured since it was $ 10 plus it would be excellent but was just meh. Soup– The flavor of the broth with the coconut milk was amazing. I just wish the chicken was not in such huge chunks. I swear half my little cup of soup was chicken. Due to how expensive this place is I had to say it was okay. The cost of the food does not stand up to the quality we received.

I’ve been to Brickhouse twice, once for beers and take out and again for beers and dinner. I was impressed with their beer list, offering a lot of variety as well as a few eclectic choices. There’s also the standard Miller, Bud and Coors if you’re not adventurous. The service at the bar and at a table were both great with the staff knowing what they’re talking about when it comes to beer. I thought the burger menu was cool with a number of original burger offerings as well as a build-your-own option. FYI, the burger is a double-patty so it’s a pretty large burger. On my first visit, I ordered their classic burger and fries to-go. Everything was top notch and great tasting. On my second visit, I got their chicken wings and fries. These were also really good. The only thing I hope that they do is outfit their existing patio and offer service out there too.

A new spot for«craft» burgers and craft beer has opened locally so we thought we would give ti a whirl. They are super happening at the moment so expect to wait. That’s all right as long as your dinner is worth the wait. However… We were seated near a window which was entirely too drafty. I’m not exaggerating here. there was a cold breeze coming in through the window right onto our table. the solution was t move the table toward the center of the room and away from the draft. OK but since you just refurbished the joint how about putting some windows that seal on it? That’s OK right? We are gonna have some good eats, right? Well sorry to say the service was entirely too slow. Time from being seated to actually having dinner was nearly an hour. The nice young man apologized and noted he had a big table in addition to us. OK but that’s hardly my issue. Talk to your manager if you can’t handle the load. We did have a poutine appetizer which was pretty good but I found it odd that our server never gave us plates to eat the appetizer from and waited until we finished the appetizer before taking our dinner order. Inexperience? I’m not sure but it made the whole dinner stretch out and we were beginning to feel that cold breeze from the drafty window. We all ordered burgers with the exception of my young daughter who ordered mac & cheese. The burgers were all OK but kind of overdone and just kind of weird. Not anything I would want again. My son had a BYOB(build your own burger) with bacon and cheese curds. There were hardly any cheese curds on the burger(see my photo) and this was a $ 12.95 burger. Now he could have had up to six other topping but he wanted this as there really wasn’t an option on the menu for a bacon cheeseburger. i don’t feel this was a good value at all. I think for what they are asking the burgers need to be better. Additionally my daughter hardly touched her mac & cheese and then felt ill. She went to the bathroom and told us she felt like she was going to vomit which she promptly did once we got outside. So goodbye mac & cheese. She felt much better after getting rid of that mac & cheese. Unfortunately we’ve found another local restaurant we won’t return to. I don’t think the service was at all up to snuff. The food was mediocre at best and is premium priced. I imagine if I went in and had some beers the food might be better. But there are much better choices in the area for burgers
