Lake View Diner

It’s no longer Lake View Diner, it’s Hannah’s. Now you can miss it without worry! Service seems good if they recognize you as a regular, otherwise it’s less than average. No coffee refills, even when they see it’s nearly gone, you must call them over for it. Prices are very high for quality you get. Food is average to less than average. Close at 2pm.

The omelette’s are large, made with 3 fresh eggs and they make every omelet you can think of. The price of omelets range from $ 4.75 to $ 6.95. I love a Spinach Omelet and you can never find one here in Daytona, but they have a great fresh spinach omelet! The Belgian Waffle is to die for and will only set you back $ 4.75!!! Hot, fresh and fluffy! I love the Country Fried Steak and Gravy which is made with fresh sausage. If you like Corned Beef Hash, this place has the VERY best!!! If made fresh with real corned beef, not the canned stuff! It’s chunky and moist. Served with 2 eggs, hash browns or home fries plus toast or a biscuit it a steal at $ 6.50. The Biscuits & Gravy are killer and a full platter is $ 4.75.
For a great sandwich, try the Lake View Club!!! The sandwich baskets come with fries, fresh slaw, and a pickle. The layers of ham, turkey and bacon are out of this world and it’s only $ 6.95. They also have burgers, Melts and salads for lunch.
The décor is fun and makes you feel like you’re a step away from the beach! The wait staff are always fast, attentive and always have a smile. I believe they’re open one evening during the week so call for details. Each time I go I see many of the same customers over and over so that’s a sure sign the owners of this jewel have found a home! They are celebrating their one year anniversary and I hope they celebrate many more!!!
