What a cool little Thai restaurant nestled into a corner downtown! This one-(wo)man shop is run by a resilient older Thai woman, housed in an old diner turned thai/hamburger joint(yes – she serves burgers too!) It almost feels as if you’ve been invited into her house and are watching her home-cook for you. She cooks each order individually in pots and pans, so expect a wait with a large group or if it’s crowded. Food is tasty and the place is filled with regulars. Not the best for date night or a business meeting, but this place is perfect if you’re looking for some truly authentic Thai cuisine. Would come back in a heartbeat.

YUMMMMY. Fresh vegetables, curry blended when ordered. Very good. True only one person doing all the cooking but worth wait. Thank for the previous reviews as this is a small gem i might have passed up!

Great curry and Tom yum soup. Awesome American traditional dishes like burgers and fries too! Definitely worth a visit in the area.

Owned and run by one woman who cooks everything in front of you. There is usually a wait because … This is not fast food. It’s cool to see your food cooked right there while you chat with friends. Best burger in town by far. I have yet to order the Thai but I will soon since its only a block away.

Simple, fresh, and quick Thai dishes as well as American Burgers located in a classical diner that won’t break your wallet. Try the Thai Tea and Thai Coffee, it will keep you coming back for more!

I love this place and the Thai woman running it. She’s a hoot. She makes my favorite coconut soup.

Hmm didn’t really like my Thai curry from here at all, and I’ve had plenty of Thai curries in my time so I know what to expect. Giving three stars for location and cool bldg, and also the fact that I only tried one thing on the menu once, so who knows.

Came to this little place today and was very pleasantly surprised! I ordered the spring rolls and a yummy burger. The spring rolls were cooked perfectly! They were crispy, and the sauce was sweet and spicy and was very tasty. The burger was served on a toasted bun and cooked perfectly. I will definitely be back soon!

This little hole in the wall is a diamond in the rough. Those who have passes it up for a fancier, note sophisticated looking place have truely missed out. Despite the restaurant being small, I like the diner atmosphere. It didn’t stink or seem dirty. The curry was fantastic and flavorful — with just the right amount of spicy! One of the best places for Thai in Dayton!

This place is a true Dayton gem. The owner is so nice, and makes every authentic dish fresh. The prices are very reasonable and the setting is a cool old diner. Feel free to bring a bottle of wine. You could pass by and never notice, but the great food, friendly service and good prices make it a must to stop in and try.

Didn’t get the chance to order because the person working works on one order at a time and I was pressed for time, so I chose to leave– but I don’t recommend eating in at this place– atmosphere and service leave much to be desired. The person asked me i wanted a burger and when I said no, she rolled her eyes as though I had just been rude to her even though I was not. I have heard great things about the food so I will give it a try for takeout, but if you are looking for a quick lunch at a local spot downtown, go over to Olive across the street.

A group of three of us visiting from HI we’re craving Thai food at 3:30PM and this was the only option nearby. A strange exterior advertising Yummy Burger and Thai food in a 50+ year old diner with just a lunch counter and stools facing a grill. Ok, give it a chance based on Unilocal score. Glad we went in as the food was exceptional, particularly the green curry with chicken which was absolute perfection; spicy with minimal sweetness, lightly cooked zucchini and onions and precise use of coconut milk along with a large portion of skinless chicken breast. Also had pad Thai and chicken with basil. These were nice, but the curry was a total OT! A one woman operation with Yung doing the cooking, serving, and dishwashing; really a fun and interesting Thai lady who somehow ended up in this memorable place of so much international fusion.

Primarily a thai food joint, but stopped in for a burger(closest place within walking distance). Probably one of the better burgers I’ve tasted in a long time. Service is a little slow but its literally just one sweet old asian woman working the entire diner. She was a sweetheart. Gotta stop back in for some legit thai food. Seriously, the burger was like, next-level.(Burger Disclaimer: If you’re health conscious, move along.)

Really cool little place with great food. Like an old school diner, you can sit at the counter while your meal is prepared right in front of you. The lady who served us was very friendly and the food was delicious. I wouldn’t normally get a burger at a Thai place, but when I saw one being made, I was tempted– it looked awesome!

This place is a dump. I’m sorry. The strong smell of grease made me nauseous. I got the chicken pad Thai and Thai tea and didn’t care for either one. I waited forever for a carry out too.(About 35 mins)

Interesting little place on the corner of 3rd& Wayne. Tried one of the standard Thai dishes, Pad Thai, and some spring rolls. The good – spring rolls were homemade & vegetarian. Very tasty with the given sauce. The Pad Thai had a good heat at a level 5. The below average — was the Pad Thai. The chicken was over cooked & dry. The egg was lost after covering it with some unusual sauce that everything was cooked in(and so were the 10 tiny pieces of peanut). This Pad Thai was dark colored like soy sauce. The noodles could have been cooked longer. I grew up on a lot of international foods including Thai; and, this one was not very good compared to the many I’ve tried over the years. And the price was too high for what you got — this is –not– high quality food. The owner seemed nice though and the service average. Overall, as two stars says — Meh. I’ve experienced better. Guess I’ll keep looking for a good Thai restaurant around here. Is there one in these parts? Caio.

Great Thai food … in an old Yummy Burger! The prices are very reasonable, portions generous, and all in a delightful, diner package.

Or maybe you’ll know it as Yummy Burger! I stopped in for lunch and had the special of the day — Green Curry w/a spring roll. Some of the other customers were having the Yummy Burger(said it was ‘tops’). My meal was a large portion and good curry(didn’t pick my spice level but was spicy for my spicy pallet). The atmosphere is a tiny Diner but that is what makes a great friendly experience. It was interesting to watch the traffic of the city go by the window during lunch.

It’s a small place that isn’t exactly the atmosphere I like, but the food is good. I love the hot and sour soup w/shrimp, the chicken satay, and I will go on my second time to try the pad see ew. I wasn’t too fond of the pad thai, it was too sweet. If it wasn’t sweet I would’ve liked it much better. Otherwise I’m definitely going back, it’s really affordable and it’s amazing homemade cooking. The owner lady is so nice and sweet too.
