The staff is just not well trained to do nails. It is not relaxing due to the fact they are very bad at their jobs and scrap your hands till they bleed

I’ve have been a loyal customer of this spa, pretty much from the start. I think the owners Cathy and Amy, are very knowledgeable and it’s obvious that they continue to upgrade their knowledge on a regular basis. So many of their services are great, but i especially take advantage of the microderm, peels and facials. I also go regularly for brow maintenance. All of the staff are courteous and professional. They return scheduling call in a timely manner and the waiting room is quiet and comfortable. If there was room for improvement, it might be in the check out process, but it seems to be related to the computer program in use.

I bought a groupon for an all over color with Courtney Young. I waited about 15 minutes before I got brought back to the chair. She asked what I wanted and I told her all over red. My hair was dark brown, She said its going to be an extra 50 $ dollars to go lighter. The Groupon does not state that if you are going lighter it is an extra cost, it just says all over color which is what I requested. Moments later, A old woman comes out and says«We are going to ask you to leave, we are refusing to do your hair» LOL Are you kidding me??? How unprofessional is that. I went to Michaels down the road in Centerville, It is very high class, extremely kind professionals, and laid back environment. Transforming Techniques is low class, and the cosmetologists look as if they just got out of drug rehab. Do not Recommend !!!

I booked a facial here last minute as I was visiting in Centerville and every other place had no openings. I showed up early to fill out a new customer form and waited for my appointment with Crystal. Crystal was very pleasant and explained the process of the facial and which products she would use on me as I’d had a recent acne breakout. The whole facial wasn’t necessarily«relaxing». Crystal kept up a conversation for most of it which I didn’t mind since she was super pleasant to talk to, also she put lotion on my hands and put them in heating mitts which was a nice touch. The facial was no muss no fuss. No shoulder/neck massages or scalp massages which I’m used to at every other location I’ve been to. All in all the facial lasted about half an hour and cost $ 70. I suppose I should have asked ahead how long it lasted but every other salon in Dayton charges this price for an hour. Also my face doesn’t look much different at all. But she did give me a bunch of samples to try at home which was a plus :) all in all not a bad place to try but for price and value I’d recommend going elsewhere. **update: The day after my facial I broke out HORRIBLY and it hasnt stopped even after two weeks. Very disappointed.**

If you want to do something good for yourself and relax like you’ve never relaxed before. go get a Transforming Facial. It’s one of the most decadent things I’ve ever done for myself. Dim lights, relaxing music, and someone completely focused on giving you the best facial you’ve ever had. Co owners Cathy and Amy are my personal favorites, but any of their estheticians are very good.
