Tucked away in the middle of the Public Market, this is best fast casual Thai place in the area. They only open on Thur-​Saturday from 11−3pm, and the lunch rush gets busy at 12pm.
Lunch comes with Spring Rolls and fried rice (not a fan of the rice), but the Pad Thai and everything else is wonderful. It’s extremely inexpensive around 5.75 for a vegetarian Pad Thai. I’ll try the curries and Satays next time. Please remember that all the lime and peanuts condiments are on the counter. You can’t forget that for the Pad Thai.
My only other issue is that they use Soy Milk for their Thai Ice Tea and not the usual condensed milk. It’s still wonderful, and I guess I don’t have to do that 5 mile run now down the river.
The Public market also has wonderful seating with open windows and Wi-​Fi for all us that need to do some work.

Baan Thai Noi which means Little Thai House is located in the 2nd street Market in Dayton. While you wouldn’t think of Thai for Breakfast, they actually have some great Omelets for the breakfast crowd @ the market… but my favorite, BY FAR, are their vegetable spring rolls. I’m generally at the market every other weekend if not every weekend, and these are GREAT. I usually end up taking a box of 30 — yes, 30 — home with me. They are pretty small, more of a bite size roll, and they heat up really well in the toaster oven so my family snacks on them on lazy weekend afternoons and at 5 rolls for $ 1.75 you can’t beat it.
I have had the Pad Thai here, as well as an omelet, and have been pleased with it all. It’s one of those places that you go where the owners are as great as the food. Lamun cooks and her husband Jerry, and sometimes one additional person take orders and work the register. They only serve @ the market but I have heard they may also do catering (or at least large orders for pick up at the market) as well.
