I agree. He is not professional, nor knowledgable. His prices kept increasing as he subcontracts others to do the work, as well as hiring unskilled labor from the«Mexican place». Our yard now looks worse than when he started, and after spending $ 20,000 we now need to hire someone else to do what he should’ve done. For instance, we had him install an irrigation system in the front and back yard and he didn’t sod over the pipes, so there are dirt stripes throughout. He doesn’t listen, tries to «double talk» you into paying more and is basically rude. The best part of the yard is the patio that he subcontracted. We also asked him to build a 6 foot curved sitting wall along one side. He also subcontracted this and while it looks beautiful, it grew to almost 8 feet and he charged us $ 645 extra. We didn’t ask for it to be bigger, it «grew» because of the concrete blocks, mortar and the bricks. He should’ve known to take that into consideration when quoting it. He says he’s going to do something and then comes up with long winded excuses. We also had him plant 206′ Green Giants for $ 970. He hired an old man and his grandson to plant them. They didn’t bury them deep enough or spaced out correctly and they were crooked. He had the audacity to charge us $ 100 more to replant them properly. They still fall down when it’s raining or windy. I asked him to stake them and he treated me like I don’t know anything. He also had never heard of a «lilac bush» and called day lilies«daisies». We paid him just so we could get rid of him.

We had the same experience as Bob M. This guy is crooked. Do not give him money up front or sign a contract. Started and the abandoned job after many unkept promises to complete.

If you are looking for professionalism, dependability and honesty, look elsewhere. The price changed twice once the work was started. We still have cleanup yet to be done after 10 days(I’m quite sure we’ll have to do that ourselves). We had a deck put in and front steps. The whole job was to take 3 days, then it was 5, then 7 and so on. The steps look OK but they were not covered during the rain we received the that day and the next. I asked the installer if he had used rebar, which the owner told us would be used, and the guy said«no, I didn’t have any to use». The deck also looks OK as long as defective 2×4’s and uneven cuts don’t bother you. The owner kept talking about his«crew» until I finally found out he had just hired these guys after meeting them at Home Depot the first day of the job. I could on but I think you get the picture.
