Sbarro

I stopped at Sbarro’s for a snack. I got a side of meatballs. There were two large meatballs which consisted of ground beef, parmesan, bread crumbs, parsley, and spices. They tasted delicious! They were steaming hot and served in marinara sauce.

An alternative to the traditional highway service plaza food. Halfway decent pizza for a chain restaurant. Pasta is okay.

Horrid. Spaghetti was room temperature, sauce cold, chicken dry and room temp. I’d be concerned about food safety as it’s obvious things aren’t being stored at proper temperatures. Pizza was a dry, burned mess and the slices small. Yes, this was at a highway rest stop, but it was the worst food I’ve ever seen at one of these places. We ended up tossing the whole mess. However, it does make the McDonald’s next to it seem like fine dining. The great Sbarros of 20 years ago is dead.
