This was another little store that was close to where we were staying. What a delightful slice of something different. It was part sounir store, coffee shop, pastry store, jewelry and bead work, as well as souvenirs. Lol let me see they had something for everybody. The staff was so polite, welcoming and helpful. The coffee was quite good as were the pastries. I’m not sure if they were baked in house but I would assume that they were. This seems like a local place that many of the locals do come to to get their morning meal. It was something out of the ordinary that just made you smile and make your day a little bit better. What’s a girl to do? You gotta have your cup of joe in the morning.

I was so happy to find this place while I was on vacation this summer! I loved the atmosphere and all the drink options! Yum! I had a frozen coffee drink both times I went and they were both delicious! It can get a little busy in the morning but they kept the line moving. I didn’t try any of the baked goods, but they looked amazing! I would definitely recommend this place if you’re in town and looking for good coffee.

Pleasantly surprised. Wanted to go to a different spot, but needed coffee stat. The outside building looks like a Nags Head style mini mall, but the offerings inside were a step above. Delicious raspberry & cream croissant and white mocha.

Enjoyed my iced crème brûlée latte. Delicious! The shop was cute and while we did not stay to enjoy our drinks, there were comfy places inside and out to sit. They also serve smoothies and hand-dipped Hersey brand ice-cream.

Nothing special here in the coffee shop, was a little disappointed really. The staff was pleasant enough, but it was confusing really. The coffee is in self-serve pots, which isn’t a bad thing necessarily… But it’s across the room from the counter, so the barista essentially tells you to go get your own coffee. Then when I ordered my café au lait, they told me I’d have to get the coffee in the cup myself. And I didn’t know the exact measurements seeing as I’m not a barista, so the drink was a little off. Just a weird experience. They could at least put the coffee on the same counter as the register to avoid confusion.

The coffees are great. Double espresso is 4 shots. They do need to learn the multi task better. I will go and wait everyday next year on vacation just as I have for the past few years on vacation.

Almost from the minute we walked in the owner was rude and unpleasant. She was rude and snapped at her employees then complained of «needing a vacation». This woman needs serious help in the customer service department. There were several other items I really wanted to purchase but couldn’t force myself to give her any more of my money. We decided to shop and have breakfast somewhere else.

From the first step in the door the service was extremely rude. Ride enough where we should have left. For convenience we stayed and had coffee and a muffin but will never return because of the service not the food.

A recent trip to OBX left me searching for a wifi connection in order to do finish up some work. I happened upon Beach Mugs, which advertised wifi, coffee, art and beads. Up my alley. This shop is just that: part coffee shop, part knick-knack shop, part art gallery, part bead shop(to make one’s own jewelry from beads). There are some counter seats and two high top tables. No couches or comfy chairs, but that’s OK because I didn’t have that much work to do. The wifi connection was mostly stable. It cut out twice during my 1 hour stay, but reconnected within seconds. I was able to work productively for the price of a $ 2.50 iced coffee. Bargain. Had I not bright my laptop, they offer Dell Computer with internet access at $ 5 for 30 minutes. I highly recommend this place for the unique, local feel. The art is nearly as darling as the atmosphere.
