I am very impressed with this company and outcome of our trees. The owner is very honest, thorough, polite, and punctual. He was also very considerate of our neighbors, taking the time to communicate with them as one of our trees overhangs on their property quite a bit. He took time to speak to me on the phone prior to the service and took time to walk me around the property after our service. It was an easy process from the estimate to the actual service. We will for sure be using them again.

I received my quote in a very timely manner. Everything was clearly laid out in the quote along with very competitive pricing. Ralph thoroughly explained everything before starting. We walked the property to review, and discussed exactly what was to be done. I asked for several large trees to be dropped and they did a great job. Ralph is very thorough and professional. I would recommend and will be calling again if I ever need tree services again.

We recently moved to the area from out of state, and have gotten our firewood from A Cut Above Tree Service for several months now. The firewood has been seasoned well and burns great — not too fast, and not too slowly! The owner, Ralph Jennings, took time with our first phone call to explain to us about how to recognize good, seasoned wood. With our first delivery, he took several minutes to give us some advice as to how to take of our new backyard, which is very wooded. He has been both pleasant and professional every time we’ve called him for more wood. There couldn’t be a more polite and friendly businessman around. His prices have been very reasonable. We look forward to doing more work with Mr. Jennings as the seasons come and go.
I can’t imagine that the other reviewer is writing about the same company. It does not sound like the same man that we’ve been dealing with for several months now. Perhaps it is a case of mistaken identity. I am certain that Mr. Jennings would never leave a mess behind, nor has he ever been anything but kind and polite with us.

We personally found the demeanor of the owner and/​or worker who cut limbs at our house to be argumentative, combative and rude. Also, there was apparently a misunderstanding about the quote given to us regarding whether it was for hauling away the limbs they cut, or whether I wanted to keep the wood. I thought one thing, the owner thought something else, but those things can happen sometimes. Then when I posted a two-​star review on Unilocal,the owner called to tell me he was going to sue me if I didn’t take down my review from Unilocal (and he told us that he had filed lawsuits like this three times before). Based on my experience as reflected above, I personally would not recommend this company, but that’s my opinion.
