Ok, it was late, we wanted pizza rolls like something fierce, all my usual places are closed so i called this place and yes i made sure this review is for the correct gios…62 maple st. Staff was awesome! All smiles and super friendly, As i was leaving even the cook was like have a good1. Food was ok, we had some fries and chicken fingers and of course pizza rolls. Everything was decent with one exception, the pizza rolls we were craving… the reason for the food run… Unfortunately the worst i have ever had honestly. They where wicked doughy, not chewy soft but thick like a chew toy and wayy to much cheese with very little sauce. First time in my life i did not finish my pizza roll or rather could not bare to finish it. I can only compare it to something you would find in the freezer section but seriously worse. Time to try a new vendor on those ones guys, trust me i cant imagine anyone finds those tasty. I have not tried delivery yet so i cant comment and i would but we always get pizza rolls when we order out and I definitely know i don’t want these pizza rolls again… seriously no bs.

I order from here at least once a week! They deliver right to my apartment complex. The food is always really good, and the drivers are always so nice! Get the calzones!

IMPORTANT! This review is for GIOVANNI’s not GIO’s! They may have the similar name, and the similar menu, but they are VASTLY different! I normally order Domino’s(Across the street) up until I stumbled across this gem across the street while walking through the bitter cold. Hungry and chilly, I wanted a warm pizza! Giovanni’s simply did not disappoint! There were several deliveries leaving while I was there, and all people inside seemed very pleased with their meals also! Safe to assume that I was not the only person enjoying their meal that night! It’s very nice that they have such a clean and comfortable dining area, not many pizza places have that ambiance around here! Absolutely will be returning, this is my new favorite pizza spot! (P.S. — You can almost safely assume all negative reviews below are for the wrong business!)

This is a terrific pizza place in downtown Danvers. You can order on line, call in or get it delivered. When they say it’ll be ready in 20 mins on a Friday night it’s ready in 20 mins. The staff is really nice and they have this creamy Greek or creamy Italian dressing for their salad that I’m convinced is addictive cause it’s so good. We’ve gone to most of the other pizza places in Danvers after moving here last year. The one we always come back to is Giovanni’s!

Another 5 star pizza and salad experience at Giovanni’s! The Caesar salad is fresher than any sit down restaurant I have been to. I always go for quality over quantity, and Giovanni’s delivered both! I am a happy camper.

Giovanni’s on Maple St has the best Pizza, Sandwiches and Salads in town. Their house dressing is homemade and their kabob salads are to die for. Friendly owners, reliable delivery and quality service. I give Giovanni’s an A+++

Very clean and friendly! Super fresh salads and yummy pizza. I was surprised at the number of options to choose from. Sandwiches, subs, pizza, roast beef and more! Vegetarian, gluten free and healthy options available. We will definitely return.

Okay, I’ll try my best to be nice, by which I mean have as little curse words as possible… Okay, so, my business has ordered from Giovani’s at least once a week, sometimes twice, sometimes more. I would say two out of three orders would be messed up somehow. Forgotten drinks, forgotten pizzas, yeah, entire pizzas would be forgotten. Simple side orders of BBQ sauce would be forgotten, however, in those situations I can usually find several dozen packs of duck sauce. And my roast beef sandwich looks like a yeti ate it, and shat it back out. Seriously, if there was anything else in the area I would order from them, alas, the Giovanopoly is all we have. I hate you, if I would burn your store down, but I don’t believe in violence. I do believe in negative reviews though. I’ll be ordering again from you guys next week. Please don’t spit in anything.

I stop in from time to time and my favorite in winter or summer is the chicken kabob salad with Greek dressing. I chose onions and feta and this portion is huge for the money but more importantly it’s delicious. Every time!

Besides the fact that they grill the sub rolls and the food is totally awesome … I left my ID there one day by accident and the owner, who could not get my unlisted phone number, actually drove to my house in the next town over and returned it. It’s the only sub shop for me !

I always get confused between this location and Gio’s, which is right around the corner. After trying both multiple times I will be forever ordering from Giovanni’s, which is the original, for a few different reasons: 1: They are always friendly. 10 out of 10 compared to the snotty workers at Gio’s. Both on the phone and in person they are always nice. 2: Their food is always good. I don’t have to wonder whether or not my order will be messed up. Mind you I usually just order a chicken kabob salad or calzone, but you’d be surprised how many times that gets messed up other places. It’s not the best, but there aren’t many good places in the area and Giovanni’s always delivers and comes out on top! 3: This past week we were in a bind on the day before Thanksgiving with no grocery stores selling the right pita bread we wanted or they were out of stock. So I remembered my pita that comes with my salad is always good, so my boyfriend called and asked if they had a few bags they could sell us. They were super accommodating and told him to come right down and gave him 2 bags for $ 6 total. Can’t beat that and they saved the day! Overall – if you’re deciding where to go in Danvers for a quick bite, I’d always recommend Giovanni’s!

Have ordered from here a few times simply due to proximity but no more. Food is usually poor quality and cold even when picking up. Don’t bother trying to order delivery. Had to wait 1.5 hours for an order when we live less than a mile away. Ended up canceling the order and the guy in the phone sounded happy as we probably just got him free dinner. Don’t waste your time. There are 5 other pizza shops that you can see from their doorstep. Try anything other than this place.

The food here is delicious when you get can what you are ordering. They are getting a 3 because I usually order delivery from them and honestly not their strong suit. Generally, I get calls frequently when I order because they are out of whatever I am ordering. Mind you I’m not ordering specialty stuff or items that are not on their menu. Multiple times they have forgotten a drink I had ordered and then there have been more than one occasion I pay in cash and they don’t have change. And I usually need less than $ 5 back. I won’t be ordering from them for a while.

Stopped by here on a whim since I am from out of town. The steak tips are some of the best I have ever had. I will definitely be going back.

In my quest to find non-corporate local lunch, I happened upon Giovanni’s while in Danvers this week. No cars in the parking lot which is a bad sign I know but it was a little after lunch rush so I figured I’d give it a shot. With roast beef in the title I went for a RB sub loaded with hots and proceeded to wait no less than 25 minutes entertaining myself by watching the flies buzzing around the slicer… No kidding… Right at the point when I decided to walk out, the very nice cashier told me my order was ready. I paid, took the sandwich opened it and after wondering what the red sauce like substance was all over the top I tossed it out in the barrel of their parking lot…7 dollar education, 15 dollar lunch once you calculate the salad I ended up with.

With Danvers not having many places that deliver, Giovanni’s is quick and the food is good. The portions are huge, and for the price it is great. The steak bomb in a wheat wrap is a meal in itself, or try the buffalo chicken salad or steak tip salad. Fantastic.

Good buffalo chicken calzones that will make you want to diet after you eat it, even if you were starving to death. 4 out of 5, it’s pretty damn good for a calzone, but that’s all I’ve had from here. Try anything else at your own risk.

Good calzones — not proper calzones with rocotta cheese, but good notheless.

Everything here is pretty much OK. It’s a solid lunch joint, but nothing special. I definitely recommend calling in your order rather than ordering when you get there though. Someone recommended the chicken kabob salad to me, I got it, didn’t really see what the big deal was. Seems like something is missing from everything I’ve ordered there.
