This place is great. Teeny tiny but it doesn’t matter. All beers are good, Machu Picchu is so different but delicious! These guys are great and take the time to explain everything and answer any questions. Must go if you’re in the area. Really hope they grow!

I think it’s time to «step it up a bit.» While I’m very happy to see this business hang in there, quite frankly they could elevate the quality some. Hoping for the best, I really wish them success!

If you’re anywhere near this place you need to stop by. I’ve been planning on stopping by this place for a while now. I finally made it there today. I was not disappointed! Great interesting beer along with some beer education. You bet ill be back!

Finally made it to Black Pond yesterday and was really impressed by the laid back atmosphere and friendly brewers. I was particularly impressed by their Razorblades 9 hop IPA and their Butternut Brown Ale, but they have a nice variety that can please many palettes. I’m so glad to have some quality craft brewing going on in the quiet corner and would highly recommend checking them out.

I’ve been to Black Pond Brews several time and I have to say each time it gets better and better. Not only are Corey and Mike two nice, friendly, fun guys, they are really educated about beer and the brewing process & of course, know how to brew amazing beer that everyone should get out and try. They are consistently updating their brews with new, refreshing and innovative flavors. Even though their space is small at this time, which I find to be more personable, their brews are a BIG impression to the craft beer world. Cheers!

A nice chill place run by some super nice guys making great beer. I tried a porter(?) with chili in it that was funky but delicious. The other beers were great and well-crafted, and they’re doing thoughtful and interesting things. The shopfront is a little sparse, but not unwelcoming– it truly is a little niche with no real room to sit, but they’re working on it. Outside is a little gravel area where the bike folks were gathered and started a bonfire, and the local train slowed down and tooted on its way through, and it was a really awesome night and a great, friendly, relaxed vibe.

Really nice, welcoming people. Good, interesting beers. Hard to find location. It’s hidden under a mountain bike shop. Cheers Corey!

It’s tough to really rate Black Pond Brews since they are still such a work in progress but if you’re ever in the Quiet Corner I’d definitely recommend checking them out. I made the trip to visit them on a recent Sunday from RI. It was a haul to Danielson & my GPS put me around in circles until I found the brewery sign pointing to the basement of a bicycle shop. Black Pond Brews is a 2 man operation & definitely the smallest brewery in CT. They don’t have a tap room per se but the brewers have no problems giving out samples. I wasn’t the only one there that day as a group came in right behind me. I see lots of potential as I did like the beers I tasted. Their dark Belgian reminded me a lot of another CT nano(Relic) but I was a little disappointed they didn’t have their signature Razorblades IPA or Machu Picchu jalapeño IPA.
