I’m just saying you guys say on the radio it’s a redneck cuisine, but y’all don’t have sweet tea. And the tea is like water with a hint of tea in it. I’ve been coming here for awhile but it’s annoying that your waitresses have no personality and are rude. But on the bright side y’all have some great gator bites!

A friend invited me out on her boat and then picked this restaurant to help me fulfill my goal of docking at a restaurant while people watch. ;) The restaurant does have tables inside but it was completely empty, as the waterside seating is so much better. We had a group Of eight and even with three large groups already there they were able to immediately accommodate us. Large menu with salads, tacos, sandwiches and more. Between our group we had a little of everything and everyone was thrilled. I had the conch salad special which was incredible. Our server(don’t remember her name) was efficient, friendly and helpful. Would definitely go again. Even if I have to drive up

What pretty what much others have said, nice view, good service, but food is so-so and overpriced. Had the Mahi tacos, 3x as much slaw in the taco than Mahi. Slaw was not fresh… came with a tiny cup of pico de gallo, enough for one taco. Charging people to park(valet) seems a bit absurd. Too many other good places nearby, so won’t be going back.

I love this place. The wine selection is nice, it’s dog friendly, the blackened chicken caesar salad was good, and the ahi tuna tataki was absolutely delicious. Top all of that off with a beautiful view of the intercostal and yachts, and you are bound to have a wonderful experience. Highly recommended. :) Valet only — bring cash!

Been going there by boat and motorcycle for years, the food is good service is good atmosphere is good, I would go there more but I do not like the valet parking, Nobody parks my car. We did go there a few days ago by a car and I parked my vehicle myself went to hand the valet guy a couple bucks and he gave me an attitude. I told him to go to hell. I understand they don’t one beachgoers use in their parking lot, but they still should let the people who go to the restaurant parked her own car.

So it has been a long day when we stopped here for late lunch. There was a $ 3 valet parking, which was not professional at all, we parked the car ourselves and went and got the car ourselves when was done eating. They could just have charge for parking and it would have made more sense. Overall, the service in the restaurant was decent. The food was decent too, wasn’t anything spectacular that made me awed. Our server was very forgetful, she came back multiple times to asked what we ordered again because she forgot.

My husband and I are leaving because there is zero personality tonight. Two bartenders and the valet pretty much were wet rags. Moving on… to Joe’s tiki bar.

4÷30÷2016− I’ve been wanting to come here for quite sometime. We had gone to the beach in Dania and as we were leaving, it was directly in front of us. There is ONLY Valet Parking $ 3. We walked in and the server told us we could just grab a table where we wanted. I like that it’s very chill and laid back. Great waterfront location. We kept seeing all the fishing boats and yachts. We ordered 10 wings, 5 in Xtra HOT sauce, 5 dry. Our server, Kevin, said they call the Xtra Hot Sauce, RESPEKT… so we said«put some respect on it» For lunch I had their Ahi Tuna Salad and I ordered a Sailor Jerry with Diet and lime. Perfect meal and a perfect day.

Five star location! Great service! Very average food priced to pay for that view! Strange slogan on their uniforms, I forget what it said but something weird about being red neck fancy food or something?! We pulled up for lunch despite having sandwiches on board. I was excited to try this place! I wanted to order a burger but they seemed extremely pricy and it was one of those build your own type menus. My burger would have been $ 25 minimum so instead I had the fish tacos and they were good. My son had the fish dip and enjoyed it. My daughter had the kid’s chicken fingers and they were average, fries were notably good! So the food was good bar food but at intracoastal prices. I wouldn’t race back.

Ok location next to intercostal, a little industrial 9n this area. Next to a drawbridge, hap hazard service. Deep fried bar food of a less than average fried food, decent drink choices

Small little place on the water. Was expecting more bar food but was pleasantly surprised with the large & diverse menu. Friend got the Heart Attack Burger — it was huge & delicious so he said! I tried the Fish Tacos(Blackened Tilapia) and wasn’t impressed — flour tortilla, coleslaw out of a bag, decent size fish with good flavor and a small cup of «pico de gallo» that was 6 pieces of diced tomatoes, cilantro & a few onions for 4 tacos! I asked for one container per taco because let’s be real, 6 pieces of taco doesn’t divide evenly over 4 tacos. I’ve had better tacos elsewhere, I wouldn’t come here specifically for them — even though the menu says they’re «the best.» Service was blah — I don’t know if she was new/shy/didn’t want to be there but there was zero enthusiasm or urgency with her greeting, taking our order or checking on us. She was nice but didn’t show any sort of personality. Parking is awful. Luckily someone was leaving after we sat in the parking lot for a few minutes trying to think of other nearby parking or another place to go. I’ve been, probably won’t be back. There’s other places to check out on the water & nearby!

First timer at Jimbo’s Sandbar and what a fantastic surprise! The casual and fun atmosphere, combined with a really good meal, and a great waterfront location directly on the intracoastal made for a memorable Sunday afternoon. After a crappy day elsewhere, Jimbo’s was like a fun, relaxing oasis. Music greeted us as we walked in. We crossed through the happening tiki bar to a patio area with tables, some in the sun and some in the shade. Actually, I think the whole place is a big tiki. Neat. My friend and I started with some craft beer(very nice selection), then eventually ordered some food. Our waitress could not have been more friendly, helpful or efficient. I ordered the fried oysters. Boy were the good. Cooked perfectly. Not mushy. Not greasy. Heaven. My friend had the grilled octopus salad. She said it was great. We finished everything, even though we weren’t really hungry and originally only went there for a beer and to chill by the intracoastal. Once we saw the fresh seafood oriented menu, we knew we needed to eat too. I’m really looking forward to returning to Jimbo’s again soon. When I do, I’ll update this review if necessary, but I hope they retain this 4-star rating or move up to five!

3.5 for the view especially at SUNSET! Honestly… its Bar Food but the view and the ambience and the Hook Game! Overlooking the intercoastal near the draw bridge. Amazing view!

Sitting at a table on a dock next to the Intracoastal, watching the boats(and occasional manatees) go by; the sun sets and paints its pastel colors onto those towering Florida cumulonimbus clouds — maybe if you’re lucky, one or two of them will treat you to a spectacular lightning show. The tropical breezes blow your cares away. you have found the very capitol of paradise. And what’s this? A menu appears — paradise serves food, too? Ok, it’s not a gourmet menu, but neither is it the typical bar menu of deep-fried stuff from the deep freezer. I’ve been pleased with everything I’ve tried here; my favorite meal is a simple one: a bowl of their scrumptious conch chowder along with a basket of their wonderful steak-cut french fries. Service has always been very friendly, although the place usually feels like it’s understaffed(i.e., you may not see a server for long periods of time). So why doesn’t paradise get five stars? Because nothing(in my mind) can ruin the paradise experience like someone sitting next to you selfishly blowing a cloud of smoke in your face while you’re trying to enjoy a delightful evening — yes, this place allows smoking everywhere. it’s amazing how a single smoker can pollute the air, even outdoors, for several tables in any direction. C’mon, Jimbo’s, give us a non-smoking section out by the water!(And while you’re at it, a place to park bicycles would be very nice too!)

My food was just okay. If you are expecting great tasting flavorful food with a sauce, you might find another place. I had the catch of the day with yellow rice and vegetables. Grouper was overcooked and not seasoned well. As well as the rice and veggies. Bland. That said, the view near the water is great!

2/29/16…two weeks have passed and Kelly, the manager has not gotten back to my friend as promised. I talked about my experience at work and EVERYONE said they had heard that restaurants do this all of the time. My Rating Is: Zero Stars and questionable integrity.

Found this place on Unilocal while making an overnight stop in the area. I like the out door seating and service was good. Food was just ok, have had a lot better fish tacos ESP for the price.

My biggest problem with Jimbo’s is the«valet parking only.» Jimbo’s is not the Plaza. It’s a beach dive bar. Besides, I don’t like anybody touching my stick shift or going through my glove box unless she’s my type. The food is like most of the food in South Florida at dives like this. Mostly fried. I got wings there and they tasted like vinegar wings. Gross! They are also out of the beers that I like too often. With that said, I have the same waterfront view at GG’s Waterfront, Le Tub, Capone’s Flicker Lite or at my home, all on the Intracoastal and with better food and Happy Hours. So the view of boats going by is not enough for me to let a stranger park my car. After all, I do not know where the valets hands have been or if they washed them. I like to park my own car and don’t like to be forced into valet, so I don’t go there anymore.

I was looking for a spot near the Fort Lauderdale airport, since my Mom’s flight got in right at rush hour. What’s the point of sitting in rah hour traffic when we could get some tasty bites and a drink or two, right? A friend who lives in Dania beach recommended Jimbo’s for the views and food, so I decided to check it out. Jimbo’s is located right on the intercostal and the canal. This Thursday night it was pouring so I was skeptical about the views, but even tho the rain was coming down, we were able to sit out back(the only way to go) and each the lightening storms roll by. Once it cleared up we could really take in the views and it was seriously awesome. They had Happy Hour 2 for 1 wells and $ 1 off domestic beers. And drinks & bites were pretty reasonably priced overall. We ended up getting a bunch of apps to share and all were pretty tasty. Think bar food bites, but healthy serving sizes. We ordered fried calamari, some tuna, clam strips & coconut shrimp. The shrimp and clam strips were really the best of all. My niece got an insanely huge burger that was bigger than her head, and even managed to eat most of it. Apparently they’re known for this burger and I can see why! It was stacked with pretty much everything including Mac & chee! We basically had to take it apart and fork that thing, but it was totally worth it. Overall pretty surprisingly good bar food. The food combined with the views definitely bumps this up to the 4 star for this girl.
