Two metal sculptors are creating very exciting and evocative objects in rural Maryland. Daniel and Lisa Stuart forge rigid metals into items that can be decorative, functional or dramatic. Ranging from mirrors rimmed with undulating metal ribbons to tables with metal rods piercing an otherwise undisturbed glass surface, their work magnifies contrasts and exaggerates the natural. All of these pieces are beautifully finished and will probably provoke some interesting conversations when added to your home. It’s particularly exciting to discover talented artists at the beginning of their long and successful career path.
