This place is fantastic. I’d never tried Phillipino food so had no idea what to expect, but I guess I love it! The pork is to die for. My brother’s only motivation to drive up and visit me from Menlo Park is if he can come eat here, too.

If you need Filipino food this is your spot. Cheap and delicious. :-) They can get pretty busy Fri/Sat night when the drunks come around but other than that it should be easy to find a table. It’s basic Filipino food which means it’s delicious, probably not healthy and a little greasy but super tasty.

fuuuck what have you done to me. I used to be a functioning member of society, now I’m just passing time between sisigsilog and pie. What’s the point of anything anymore. I don’t know. I miss my family, but they won’t let me inside the house anymore because I «smell like sisig». I’d give anything to have never opened this pandora’s box.

Delicious food! Came here for brunch and it was not crowded around 11am. However, towards the end of the meal, they were trying to clear our table multiple times when we were still working on the food… Also, it’s pretty pricey for the small portions you get. For the food and price and customer service altogether, it’s mediocre. I’d rather go to «Patio Filipino».

I’ve always seen pictures of their food that boosts my appetite so I told my boyfriend we need to try this restaurant ASAP! I ordered cornbisilog and chicken sisig, both bomb ass recipes. The reason I give 2 stars is because when I was ready to eat my chicken sisig, there was a long strand of brown hair in my sisig all wrapped around the meat. I told the server and all she said was«awe really? Well did u want to just order something else?». So I chose the spam instead because at that point, I already lost my appetite, I didn’t want to eat anything anymore, but it was there and I didn’t wanna waste money. I would have at least expected 10% off the bill or a free meal or something for the inconvenience. But nope. Minus 2 stars. Minus another star because I think it was the owner of the company who was just yelling and being loud and obnoxious, so I didn’t really enjoy the environment setting of the restaurant. If she would have remained professional, respectful of others eating around her and tone her voice down, probably would have gave 3 stars. I probably won’t be back. Make sure you check your food before eating it, you won’t know what you’ll find inside.

Their operational hours are insaneeee! I mean, good for us, not for the employees though. 7:30AM — 3AM that’s 18.5 hours that they’re open, do people really come here anytime after 10? I’d like to know ! Besides that, this place isn’t too shabby, no pizazz, just a little hole in the wall place that I happened to stumble upon when I was looking through Unilocal for late night eateries. I just got off a dinner shift in Orinda and was staying over my boyfriends house in south city and I was craving for some Filipino comfort food and I didn’t want to go to Lucky Chances. The inside isn’t too big, can probably accommodate a good 13+ people. Whole vibe is casual, they seat you and give you menus. We had a server help us but for a place this small, I don’t think they need a one. I think ordering and picking up your food would make more sense in this establishment, that’s just my opinion. Maybe I need to come in during breakfast time and see how their rush goes. I ordered their tocilog(sweet marinated pork) $ 7(?): Tocino with garlic fried rice and a over easy egg on top. The beef itself was a little dry and chewy, fried rice was good and the egg was super runny which is how I like. For the price, no real complaints. So overall, not bad. I do appreciate them for being open late at night.

This spot is another point for Norcal in the Norcal vs. Socal debate… Bomb Filipino food at 2:30am on a Friday night… what can be better. The employees are super chill, food tastes amazing(milkfish, and this sizzling chicken dish). Portions can be kinda tiny for me cause I’m a hungry man, but the quality makes up for it.

Unlike some other businesses that likes to boost their rating with fake-ish reviews, Tselogs keeps it real and is notorious for being one of the best Filipino restaurants in the area. They’ve earned it! I had the pleasure of stopping in for some good ‘ol Filipino food to help cure a mild hangover. I enjoyed the Sisig, Tocilog, and Lumpia for all around $ 24. The dishes were served up just how I’d imagined it’d be in a Filipino household, only without the 21 questions about my life, when I’m getting married, and why haven’t I had any kids yet. The service was casual but courteous and attentive. I really like that CC’s are accepted and they’ll even split the check! Parking can be tough in the area but it can be found with a little patience. Gateway Kitchen is still my go-to spot just because it’s so cheap and delicious but Tselogs is my go-to for food not cooked in a fryer.

Ive heard about mix reviews for Tselogs and this made me want to try their food. Luckily, my manager brought me here to eat for our lunch break. As soon as I went inside, I assumed that its small and have less chairs to sit but then my manager started walking towards the back and it was actually big. There are more tables in the back. The food choices are mainly silogs which is good! All the price in their menu are under $ 10! I ordered tapsilog(marinated beef) with chicken sisig. As I wait for my food, the smell coming from the kitchen made my stomach growl. It was embarrassing but what can I do?! The smell coming from the kitchen made me hungry. We waited for about 10 min before the food was ready. The servings of the food is small BUT, it was enough to fill my stomach! The sisig was in a small sizzling plate and it was actually cute. I tried the tapsilog first and it was soooo good! I am a silog fan ever since I was still in the Philippines and I tried alot of tapsilog here in US but the tapsilog here reminded me more of the Philippines than the other place Ive been to(in my own opinion). Their chicken sisig was also good! I love tapsilog and chicken sisig together! I would definitely order this two again when I come back. For dessert, my manager recommended their egg pie so I ordered egg pie. I am not a fan of egg pie in general because of the taste; however, when I tried it, it was different from the other egg pies that I had. It was sweet and creamy and you cant taste the egg as much. The texture was good and the crust was also good. I would definitely recommend this place and I would also come back here again for their Tapsilog and chicken sisig and also the egg pie!

This is a good restaurant especially for a late meal. The chicken sisig is good and the price point is affordable. I don’t recommend the beef mami because the noodles were over cooked. Sometimes the eggs are also over cooked. :-/

Man, looks like I’m the odd man out on this rating. I was super excited to check out Tselogs since I’ve been on the lookout for the next best Filipino breakfast place. My friends and I came in for a late lunch on a Saturday around 1:30pm, and the restaurant wasn’t that busy at the time so we were sat right away. We tried: –Lumpiang Shanghai(Filipino Style Eggrolls, 12 Pieces/$ 4.99, ): Pretty good– this was my favorite dish out of everything we tried. The eggrolls were nice and crispy, and served fresh out of the fryer. Recommended! –Tocilog(Sweetened Marinated Pork, Served w/Garlic Rice, 1 Egg, $ 6.99, ): Ok, but overcooked so the pieces were on the dry side. It was a little bland though, so could have used more seasoning. –Longsilog(Filipino Sweet Sausage, 3 Pieces, Served w/Garlic Rice, 1 Egg, $ 7.99, ): I guess they didn’t dye the sausages red, but it was really weird seeing longanisa brown. They weren’t seared enough, and they weren’t very flavorful– skip! –Beef Paresilog(Tenderized Beef w/Special Spices, $ 7.99, ): Ok, but I’m not a big fan of beef stew type meat. It reminded me of the beef stew over rice dish that you can get at Vietnamese restaurants. At least this dish wasn’t bland, but I wouldn’t get it again. –Bihon(Rice Stick Noodles w/Meat, Veggies, $ 7.99, ): Not my favorite, but I don’t like rice stick noodles much. Other than the lumpia, the rest of the dishes I thought were just ok at best. Some of the eggs we had were overcooked, and the rice was on the dry side. Although the prices are pretty good, I wouldn’t come back for the –silogs here. The service is pretty fast and efficient though. Parking was ok during the time we went, but it can be tough since there is limited street parking(all meters).

This place is my go to restaurant when I can’t think of a place to eat at and don’t feel like eating at home. Their sisigselog is pretty good and is a popular choice amongst costumers, I do recommend it. I wouldn’t order the lumpia here, if you know lumpia you definitely wouldn’t like there’s. I don’t think they make it from scratch, it tastes store bought to me. I don’t really like buko pie, but my friends say they like the one that tselog’s serves and would often go here when they have cravings. Their portions used to be more generous and the prices have gone up. However, if you go during lunch, the prices are still on the cheap side. The service is great, they’re very attentive. I wouldn’t say I’m a regular but I frequently go here and have never had a complaint about any of the servers I got.

Be warned, this review is based off of my last three visits. Forgive me for being a little disorganized: I love Tselogs(pronounced Che-logs, btw). I always feel at home. I’m not from the Bay Area, but my cousins who live in the SF area visit this place so often that I just had to give this place a try. I always get their combination silog, in which you get to combine two entrees(because let’s be honest, two is better than one and that is the only way to satisfy the fatty inside me). I usually get the tocilog combined with their sisig silog. Each entrée comes with an egg over medium and sinangag(garlic rice). Their sisig silog is served on a sizzling plate garnished with green onion and a lemon slice. Fresh outta the stove. YUM! My very first time eating at Tselogs, I came with a big group of first timers and the waitress accommodated us very well. We asked the waitress for her recommendations so we took her word and ordered exactly that! Sisig silog is obviously their most popular! Do yourself a favor and don’t get the spamsilog at this place. I’m not saying that it’s not good, and to be honest, I’ve never actually ordered it. But their menu has so many delicious Filipino breakfast items that are more worthy than just plain spam! For dessert, they have buko pie and ube macapuno pie which are both delicious and can be served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Double YUM! One morning, my cousins and I came in and we dined towards the back of the restaurant in which one of the elderly ladies was busy rolling her lumpia shanghai, another popular appetizer. When mama is hidden in the back rolling her lumpia, that’s how you know it’s homemade! The ambience is perfect and I always feel at home. The place is nicely decorated with historic pictures of San Francisco placed on the dark, but nicely lit walls. Bathrooms are clean and well kept. From the outside, this place kinda looks like a hole in the wall but the inside does not reflect the outside at all. Be wary of parking. Sometimes you have to park a block or two away, but hey what else is new when you live in the city?

I don’t know where this hankering need for Filipino food came from, but I’m so happy I can usually satisfy my craving with a quick drive over to Tselogs. Tselogs is located on Mission St. Daly City and parking is all on the streets and metered till 6pm. Parking is a little bit of a pain but there are the residential areas around there. Or just risk parking at Walgreen’s like my boyfriend did. The inside of Tselogs is much bigger than you would think. First step inside, yeah there’s a couple of tables in the front, but there’s even more tables in the back so don’t worry too much about not getting a table unless there’s a big party present or something. And just a heads up, you can only split the check between 2 cards. No more than 2 so bring cash! They have a decent size menu. Lots of silog options that comes with one egg and garlic rice. Under that are their noodles and porridge options and they also have lumpia if you want that. I’ve tried a few things on the menu, but the one I usually go back to is their sisigsilog. The price is pretty affordable and it won’t bust your wallet so don’t worry about that, but I really wish they gave a bigger portion. Not because it’s not much, but because I’m sisig crazy and I want more. Overall, I’ll probably keep coming back.

This is a great spot for late night eats if you are tired of the typical late night fare available around/near SF. There is actually a large variety, haha, so I guess if you are looking for Filipino food. We ordered some starters including the Lumpia and Palabok. The lumpia were just your typical fair of small egg rolls, not bad, but didn’t really stand out. The Palabok was good, but I really like Palabok in general so it’s always good for me. I order the beef Silog, which is supposed to be sweet, but this was a tad too sweet and was a bit tough and dry. My friends got sisigsilog, which was minced chicken. It came served in a sizzling plate and was really good. The flavors were savory and with just a hint of lime to balance it out. Not sweet at all, unlike the beef. Both plates were served with Garlic rice and a fried egg. You can never go wrong with that combination. Also my friend ordered a noodle soup that I thought was pretty good, but I only had a couple of bites so I can’t really say how it would be as a meal, but why would you get anything else other than the Sisigsilog anyways. :P Price is cheap, coming out to about $ 10 for each.

Good food. Good service. Friendly atmosphere… I had stumbled upon Tselogs while looking on Unilocal for places that served sisig in the Daly City area. Tselogs kept coming up and reading the reviews of people I follow and others made me remember to check it out the next time I was home in the Bay. And sure enough while staying in nearby Millbrae for a weekend, we decided we wanted some of that famous chicken sisig for dinner. We were lucky enough to find parking right out front after circling the block a few times. This part of Daly along Mission has street parking at a premium so good luck. Hope you score like we did. I ordered the chicken sisig that’s served on a sizzling plate(skillet) along with garlic fried rice, 3 slices of spam and over medium eggs. It was so good. The sisig is as good as advertised. It was tasty and all you have to do is squeeze some lemon on it and you’re good to go. The flavor was good, it was still hot because of the sizzling plate and it just simply hit the spot. The chicken along with the fried spam, eggs and sinangag(garlic fried rice) was the perfect dinner on a cold Bay area night. So good. Service was friendly and attentive. The front of the restaurant is small and eclectically decorated. There is a back room with additional tables. We were seated by the wall in the front room. I also noticed that they do get a lot of take-out phone-in orders. They definitely get busy… Check out Tselogs if you’re craving that good-good.

I thought this place warranted a second visit before I even review it. This was highly recommended. The place was your typical Filipino place, nothing unexpected there. But overall, I wasn’t really that impressed. I’ve tasted better with the same price and with a slightly bigger portion. Also, my son commented their longsilog is probably not the best. The one good dish here(for the silog) is the sisigsilog. Comes in a sizzling plate and it was really tasty. I’d come here if just for that. This can be another alternative to your Filipino cravings.

I love this place! Extremely tasty food for reasonable prices. The location of Tselogs is technically Daly City but it’s right at the border so a great place that’s not too far even if you live in SF. The staff is always super friendly and I’ve never had to wait for a seat anytime I’ve gone. My favorite dish is the sisigsilog which is also the restaurants most popular. It comes out on a steaming hot pan along with rice and an egg. I prefer to mix everything together in the pan and it tastes amazing. I take many of my out of town guests here as well and they all love it to. I’ll definitely be back for more!

My second time trying Filipino breakfast and it is amazing. It’s a little on the greasy side but most high protein breakfasts are. More rich than I am used to, but delicious and satisfying all the same. We ordered the chicken sigsilog, their most popular item served in a sizzling plate, and the Filipino sausage. Both were seriously amazing! It was the perfect combination of sweet, and savory with a nice balance of tartness from the fresh lemons. The restaurant is quaint and cozy, certainly in better shape than some of the other ones on the street. We went in about 10:30am or so and the place was filled with people. It was really awesome seeing this place packed with people. I definitely felt very welcomed. I would come back, like yesterday. If I lived closer, I’m afraid I would frequent this place until I got diabetes.

ANGSARAPTALAGA! I can’t get over how mouthwatering and fragrant the sizzling plate of Sisigsilog is. Tender, chopped chicken seasoned with scallions and spices, served with perfectly cooked eggs and rice, this no-frills dish is a joy for breakfast or lunch. Oh yeah, don’t forget to squeeze the lemon all over. You may also particularly enjoy dousing this dish with the vinegar found at the table. Divine. Mmm, I’m salivating at this very moment. Oh, keyboard drool? No shame. We hope to try some of their other dishes, but for now, we’re totally head over heels for their tasty Sisigsilog! Delicious food at a great price.
