The owner or manager…(Asian woman) is a rude, nasty, cheap, stealing piece of crap. Short changing dragon lady, rude to customers. Place is dirty, food sucks, soup is flavorless, busboys are retards and walk around the places with dirt shit like they are trying to show it off. How in the world do they stay in business. Maybe it’s a front to hide tax money for dead rat stew.

Wish I could provide a more extensive review, but the bf and I only came in for the drinks! Parking is easy, if this place leaves you unsatisfied hop on over to Jollibee or the red ribbon bakery shop and pick up an empanada! I can’t comment too much on service, but the people who did help us were friendly. They were all men. Since we were only ordering drinks we went back to the cash register, which is kind of hidden away. We ordered a Thai tea with Boba and a mango smoothie with boba. The Thai tea was stronnng. The bf liked it more than I did, but at least we could say it tasted pretty authentic. Mango smoothie was also very strong and not some sweet artificial drink we’d get at a Boba chain. We were pretty satisfied and honestly you can’t beat the price. I don’t know if I’d come here for food after reading the reviews but the drinks are certainly worth it!

I love Red Bowl Noodles when I need my combination rice noodle fix. If anyone has been to Lam Hoa Thuan on Irving and had their combination noodle soup then it is very similar but LAm Hoa Thuan is way better. I’ve also had their curry chicken soup and it was good too. I don’t like that there is a big fat piece of chicken just chilling in the bowl of soup. I also wish there was some bamboo or maybe some cilantro because it looks like just curry with nothing in it. The soups do require mixing from bottom up because it will be bland if you don’t mix it. I would not recommend their eggrolls because they are very oily and taste weird. Their noodle soup is really good and I wish they were open for late night. I could go when I have drunchies but I could only wish.

I used to come here often back in high school. I always order one thing every time and it’s the chicken rice stick noodle soup. It’s my cure whenever I’m sick or hungover. Anyway! Had an incident where they messed up my order and gave me some beef stew instead. I immediately notified a server that my order was wrong and they gave me my chicken soup without taking the beef stew from the table. Thought that was odd, so I assumed it was free for collateral. Well, it wasn’t! This review is for the lady that looks like she runs the damn place. I went up to pay and she argued with me trying to make me pay for both the beef stew and my chicken soup. I didn’t even touch the damn thing! Ain’t no way I’m paying for their mistake. That lady was super unprofessional and unapologetic about the incident. Needless to say, I can’t stay away from their chicken soup but I always give the cold shoulder to that lady.

Decent spot for a hot bowl of noodle soup. You can pick what type of noodles you want with any of the soup selections. The prices are great, especially because the portions are fairly large. I would recommend their combination soup with any type of noodle. I don’t much about their plates or appetizers. Also, their Thai ice tea is a good buy.

Food was pretty bad. Service was also pretty bad. Make sure you specify which egg noodle you want. And the Beef Noodle Stew was full of FATMEAT. Absolutely disgusting. We also ordered Combination chow mein and all of the meat had a weird stench to it. Egg rolls were overcooked. The only plus to this restaurant is that it’s almost reasonably priced. Food took about 10 minutes to make.

Combination crispy noodles! That’s the only thing that’s good on the menu(in my opinion). I tried the combination egg noodle today for a change and NOPE no good. They give hot water to drink which is nice when it’s cold out. Service is fast too!

The place is really decent. Food is alright and the service kind of sucked. The green tea and milk boba was terrible and the wonton didnt taste all that. My boyfriend wanted to add an egg to his ruce plate and the waiter told him too many people no time to cook an egg because it takes too long…(oh really? It inly takes a min.) Anyways people wait hella long for some service and leave. I used to come here a while ago and the service used to be on point but now it is just not as good as it used to be.

People always ask why I like Red Bowl Noodles(formerly TK Noodle, but it’s basically the same thing, they just renamed it) and I don’t know, I just do. I feel like I’ve never had a bad experience at any TK Noodle. This one’s my favorite only because it’s the one I always go to with family and friends. I’ve tried a couple things on the menu. I love their daikon(daikon mixed w egg and nuts inside). I know that doesn’t sound that good, but it is! It’s this pancake sorta thing and they’ve got this somewhat spicy sauce to dip it in which goes perfectly with it. Their crispy fried noodles are also good. I didn’t know what this was called for the longest time. I usually referred to it as the crunchy noodles that get soft and looks like a bird’s nest hoping someone would understand what I was describing, lol. I’ve also tried their combination over rice. Has the same soup poured over the meat/veggies that’s under the crispy fried noodles that allow them to get soft! Now noodles & soup… I’m no expert on this because I’m boring as hell when it comes to noodle soup. I always ask for rice stick noodles and just that. Waiters always look at me confused because my order’s hella simple. but I just add a bunch of sriracha and it’s really good to me! If I’m feelin like having some meat, I’ll occasionally get the beef stew rice stick noodle soup or the wonton rice stick noodle soup. I love that they have a picture of the different types of noodles on the wall cus I never know which one I want. Their strawberry smoothies are good also. They’re more like slushies. And I just recently started liking their porridge. Even though here it seems like it’s just rice in chicken broth, it’s still good to me. Something’s that changed over the years is that they don’t leave chopsticks and eating utensils out in the open on the table free for everyone to use. This is probably because people just take them home. Quick service all the time. You seat yourself and they bring you the menu. You pay at the cashier and just tell them your number. They accept cards! Pretty cheap for their family size portions!

Came here a few weeks ago with a friend because we were craving noodle soup. We got it to-go but the service was okay, for the time we were there. I got the wonton noodle soup, while my friend got the beef noodle soup. While our orders were cooking, we stepped out and went to Starbucks for about 10 minutes. By the time we came back, our orders were ready to-go! It was still piping hot when we got home, which is good. As for the meal itself, it was just okay. It was a good wonton and noodle ratio but the wontons were so small! It tasted like frozen wontons from the bags you buy from the store. The noodles were okay but the broth was too salty for me. My friend enjoyed her beef noodle soup though, so maybe it’s just what I ordered… Not in a rush to come back but I’m glad I got to try this place out.

I got the number 16! It was really good and we got a side of extra crunches(which is just burnt fat) but it’s so delicious. The food came fast and the server was good. And not to mention it was only $ 7 for a meal that was a generous portion that I couldn’t even finish it. Defiantly recommend.

I honestly don’t know why the stars are so low in Unilocal for this place. I was hesitant to come here because of the ratings but I’ve been coming here monthly and there’s nothing wrong or bad about this restaurant! Very similar to Tung Kee Noodle(spelling?). My favorite item to get is the Taro Egg Pancake in the Appetizer section. Although it says it’s an appetizer, I often eat it as an entrée just because the portion size is rather large! They get your order quick and your food comes out within 5 – 10 minutes. Love this place and I think everyone should give it a chance :)

Red Bowl Noodles used to be known as TK Noodles back in the early 2000’s but they serve a very similar menu regardless. You come in, seat yourself, and are given massive menus with a lot of food to choose from. What keeps me coming back is the crispy fried noodles with combination seafood(see pic). They also offer 99 cent thai teas which is a STEAL! The service is decent, and the servers are very personable. It is a cheap, yummy restaurant to visit if you’re ever in the Daly City area. Two orders of food cost me less than $ 16. Who can resist? Highly recommend!

I only come here for the combination egg noodle soup, the beef stew egg noodle soup, and the fried daikon cake. I don’t know how, but the soups are freaking addicting! They are pretty generous with the amount of meat they put in your soup. The pork skins are probably the best part, adding in that extra crunch and flavor. The beef stew is always super soft and tender, just how I like it. The stew is a little spicy, but only enough to taste and it doesn’t set your mouth on fire if you can’t handle spicy, like me. The fried daikon cake is good, and the dipping sauce makes it even better. The service isn’t bad either. The workers definitely make an effort to know their regular customers. It makes me feel like they actually care about the quality of their business. Basically, cheap and delicious noodle soups. Will come back soon! :D

This place is my to go spot when i know Im really hungry and i missed my schedule of eating. Its affordable and never too crowded. The workers understand my language and they know karate. Reason why I say that because one of the kids was playing tennis with flys and screaming BRUCELEE noises. My meals are always on point with portion size and taste. I dont usually complain coming here so you shouldnt either! Overall great place because of the atmosphere, nice workers, quiet customers and great food.

Needed a quick meal before dropping off my rental car. This place had fast food type booths and we sat ourselves, but a waiter did come quickly to take our order. I had that beef combination egg noodle soup. It was pretty good, and a very large portion for a very low price. Egg noodles weren’t the best I’ve had, but the beef was very tender. It was also served with a spiced broth, not just the plain beef broth i usually find in Chinatown. Fast casual Asian food seems to be way more common on the west coast.

We used to go here when this place was TK Noodle. It’s essentially the same restaurant. Changed owners and wall décor but the menu and tables are practically identical. The food is inexpensive and quite good for the price. $ 6 for a bowl of Chinese-Vietnamese won ton noodle soup. There’s nowhere else nearby that has fried flour cakes for $ 6 either. They have flour, daikon, and taro. It’s one of my go to’s whenever I’m eating here. And that $.99 Thai tea can’t be beat! It’s $ 1.49 if you want boba, but tbh, it’s good without. It’s not overly sweet and uh hello, it’s a dollar. What can you get for a dollar nowadays? If you’re looking for a decent meal at an affordable price, Red Bowl is the place to be.

This place is huge. Usually only about 2⁄3 the restaurant is filled up. Casual Environment Cheap food. $ 1 Thai Tea I’m here for the Appetizer(pan fried cakes) — eat it as a meal or I’d go for the white flat noodles with braised beef.

Red Bowl, like many cheap places, has it’s pros and cons. We all know that it’s not a five-star restaurant. It’s basically a quick-fix kinda place. The food is good. Some are hit or miss. I love how the broth that they use is light and flavorful. Very different from phở. Clear in appearance but with a nice, stock flavor. A tad salty though in my opinion. What I Ordered: — Combination Egg Noodle Soup: I love the egg noodles; the texture is just right and is traditional in these types of soup. The meat they use though(pork and chicken) is a little bland and tough. I like the little fried pork rinds they put in the soup; delicious garnish. It’s a nice change from phở once in a while. — Combination Crispy Noodles: Basically Red Bowl’s variation on HKSTYLE Chow Mein. The noodles on the bottom are crispy and ladened with a stir-fry of protein & veggies. Delicious and big portion. — Chicken Fried Rice: Flavorful and aromatic. One of the better choices on their menu. — Egg Rolls: Not the best. — PotStickers: Nothing too special. Overall it’s a good place for a cheap and filling lunch/dinner. Service isn’t the best. But I still go here for convenience & a quick bite.
