Amazing Haircuts

*new location FYI* they moved to Ditto’s Hair Salon which is down the hill on Mission about a block away.
we live in San Leandro, and we have to go aalllll the waaaaayyyy here just for the hubby’s haircut … enough said LoL
really though … the ladies do a great job every time with my son and husband’s haircuts …

I love this place. Edith, Josie and the other ladies here are just awesome. They seem to always be open, and just go a great job. At $ 15 /​haircut it’s not the lowest rate around — you can get $ 7 haircuts (though they really end up charging you $ 9) in San Jose but then that’s San Jose. But this is Daly City, it’s not like it’s even Burlingame or anything so I would have thought the rates would be a bit better. In any case, it’s totally worth it and I’m a regular as a result.

I’ve been coming here for well over a decade and they never disappoint with their friendly and good hair cutting service. I have no particular favorite employee as all do good jobs. Highly recommend.

this is an update. Just found out that Paz did not retire as I was told in this shop but had actually opened her own salon «Paz Natural Beauty» right across the street from them (next to Maynila restaurant) by the Muni bus stop.

It’s a just enough haircut shop, can’t expect more. Probably won’t go twice, as I always say, no good hairdresser in the entire U.S., I’m serious, at least there is no one good for asians since asians’ hair characteristic is quite different from whites’ and blacks’. I swear I will never have my hair cut in the United States.

No need for an appointment on the weekdays, there’s a very high probability that you’ll get your haircut as soon as you get there. It is by the Muni Daly City Main Stop. Between Round Table Pizza and Autozone.

the people are nice. but they just don’t do line ups neatly. i have to redo it myself. and i just got a mohawk recently and it was sooo uneven. its just an epic fail. i don’t recommend you going there if u want a stylish haircut. but if ur going for just a regular look then i guess for $ 15 u can’t complain much.

I have never gotten my haircut over here and I plan not to, but this was the place that I got my hair styled for my cotillion waaaay back in 2002! I wasn’t too happy walking out of this salon because of the stylists who kept complaning about how lengthy my hair was. I called ahead of time and asked if they knew how to do halfway twisties (looks more like cornrows, lol) and they said yes, so… excitedly, I made an appointment with them and let them know that my hair was up to my waist (that was at the time). I brought pictures of the style that I wanted and the lady who worked there kept nodding her head and said «okay.» Right in the middle of getting my hair done, she started to complain that the hairstyle I wanted was too complicated and suggested another style, but I wanted it my way! I began to get frustrated and irritated because salons are suppose to satisfy their customers to the fullest. She then continued to style my hair the way I wanted it, but kept complaining in «Tagalog,» and had another lady help her out. The last 30 minutes was probably the most crucial due to the bobby pins that were being placed in my hair which felt like tiny cuts on my scalp. They did not know what they were doing, but managed to achieve a similar look which I wasn’t too disappointed with. This salon isn’t the place to go for a hair updo (and I don’t know how they go about with their other services), but I wouldn’t recommend this place at all!

Haircut I received was ok, nothing amazing it only cost $ 15 so I can’t complain. The lady who cut my hair though went on 3 personal phone calls while she was cutting my hair. I didn’t mind too much since I was not in a hurry. Definitely a no fan-​fare kind of place. I think this place is good for men’s or children’s haircut. Unlikely I will come back here again.

This the best haircut I have gotten. I have been to salons that are two to three times more expensive and not been happy with my haircut. Josey, did a really good job. It’s not a fancy salon but it doesn’t matter as long as my hair looks good when I leave the place. I got lots of compliments for my new haircut. My hair is hard to cut b/​c it’s curly and thick but she did a great job. It was $ 18 for my haircut.

Nice to see a hair modifying facility that is dominated by Filipino employees. So far, nicely priced, speedy hair cuts, decent parking, and friendly staff members. But my hair is easy to do. High trim, shaved sides.

been coming here for the past 4 – 5 years. and i have never had a bad experience. Service is quick and friendly. Ms. Josie is the one i prefer to service me bu all of them have done a great job.
