I love Yong’s Tailor. He is the sweetest man, great prices, and always does a great job on all our alterations. I have given him some pretty tricky stuff before and it turned out great. I always ask for the price upfront, and pay when I pick up.

Mixed experience at this place. The first times it was OK, however don’t come here if you need to pick up your staff in the morning. It seems like he opens his store when he wants to open it and not when he should open it. Hours are 9 – 6:30, however, he is never there before 9:30. The phone number at the door seems to be decoration, as nobody ever responded to my calls.

Not too much to say about this place. Came to get some pants hemmed ($ 7) and had prompt, friendly service. Given Heli’s review I made sure to ask for the price up front and nothing seemed particularly out of the ordinary.
Convenient location, convenient hours. Parking is kind of weird, but usually pretty open and easy to stop in and drop your stuff off.
Probably my shortest review ever, but it was a great experience with a reasonable price.

I took a dress in I had ordered online that ended up being a little big all over. He was able to tailor it so it fits perfectly with out losing the original shape! So happy I brought my dress here!

After trying multiple tailors with less than stellar results I found yong’s on oak lawn. He is a man of few words but he understands what you want. My girlfriend and I use him all of the time and we are always satisfied. This is my go to tailor from now on!

I feel robbed. I was charged over $ 90 for a hem on two sundresses that I just bought (whopping total of $ 35 total for both). What’s worse is that he didn’t even warn me about this significantly higher charge until I picked them up. I was a regular customer here, and had previously brought jackets, dress and a few pair of pants to be altered and never had an issue with the price. When dropping these dresses off, he failed to inform of the significantly higher rate this time around.
I had no idea that I was about to be charged an insane amount for something so simple as a dress hem! When I arrived today I was hit with a $ 90 charge unexpectedly on something I would have never agreed to have done in the first place, had I been informed of the cost. I will never be back again based on this poor experience and ridiculous rate.

Coming from New York City I was nervous about finding a tailor that was great and not crazy expensive (tailors are more expensive in Dallas than NYC because there are fewer). I had an AMAZING experience here. This man is kind, accurate, detailed and on time! My clothes were ready exactly when he said he would be and they all looked great/​fit perfectly. Definitely coming back. Thanks!

I’m not someone that often gets get stuff tailored, but when I need to, I go to Yong’s! He’s very professional and his shop is open at convenient hours.
The first time I came, I had a dress that I need to loosen up and add a skirt slit to the back. Yong deftly figured out how much to take out from the back what appropriate length the slit needed to be. He’s extremely customer centric and asks you when you need it to be done. I had some time, but he still finished it within a couple days. The dress was still a bit tight when I came to try it on — but no problem, he remeasured it and the next time I came to pick it up it was perfect.
Yong has great customer service and charges reasonable prices. You won’t go wrong taking your clothes to get tailored here!

I had a great experience here. I came in on a Thursday night right before closing to get a very last minute alteration to a bridesmaid dress and they completed it by the next afternoon. The work was seamless, so to speak. You couldn’t even tell that any alteration had been made. This will be my place for alteration from now on.

I have used this guy quite a few times and it has been a bad experience every time. Pant lengths were uneven, brought them back in and he tried to charge me for his mistake! Other experience have happened like this and his work is poorly done.

Very reasonably priced, and proficient at basic alterations. Was not as fussy as I would have liked with a sports coat, and his style and recommendations skew towards a little more «elderly gentlemen». I asked about slimming pant legs and hemming with only a slight break, and he was a little hesitant about these more modern approaches. I would go back for basics. Very polite, and very quick service.

I found this tailor on help and I really hoped for the best after reading the reviews and that’s what I got. I had a maxi dress shortened (which is no big deal at all) but he knew where it needed to fall and I barely had to tell him anything. I also got a dress completely taken in basically to fit me (my fault buying a dress that was too big). Anyway, I went to him and put on the dress and told him I wanted it to completely fit me on top but leave the bottom skirt alone. Not only did he understand what I meant he even gave suggestions about how much it needed to go in in certain places. I have him a week to finish because I wasn’t in any rush and the dress came out perfect! I probably had 5 – 6 inches of fabric removed from the top of the dress so it was a pretty big job and both things only cost me about $ 30. I’m pretty happy to have found a tailor so close to where I live.

This impeccably dressed, kind man consistently effectively tailors whatever I drop off — men’s clothing, women’s clothing, curtains, etc. — at a reasonable rate. Have had a few situations in which the quoted price and the price he attempted to charge were different, but, when reminded of the quoted prices (I always write it down on my copy of the claim ticket before I leave the store), he has been quick to honor it.

I really wanted to like this place because the reviews are great as well as the customer service. However, I have taken a number of pieces there and have had to take them back to be fixed. For example, I asked for them to add lace to a low cut dress and they completely failed to sew the lace to the actual dress on one side… it was just a seem with the lace flapping off. Then, when I took it back to be re-​done, they tried to charge me for it. Even though they are able to get it back to you quickly, I would rather them take their time and get it right.

My mom is a seamstress and has her own alterations shop back home, so I know what’s up! Unforch, I didn’t have time to get my coat hemmed while back home, so I had to find a tailor in Dallas at the last minute. Unilocal steered me right, and I found Yong’s Tailor nearby.
I needed my coat altered at the shoulder and sleeve, and they did a great job for $ 40. I requested my coat be ready in 5 days, and it was. I’m a happy customer and would go back to Yong’s if my mom can’t alter my clothes for me.

Yong is the best. Always gets it right. Sweet guy too.

Lee with Yong’s Tailor is the best dressed Tailor I’ve ever seen! Being right across the street from me, I thought I would patronize a local business and take previous positive reviews of this place into action. Once I entered, the small and very tidy tailor shop, I was instantly greeted by Lee who was more than helpful. But what really struck me was how patient he was.
I even had a hasty request to have my clothes altered within a day and he didn’t even hesitate to accept the challenge. The clothes were altered in a way I didn’t expect, but that’s not to say it wasn’t done correctly — especially with the quick turn around. Instead of cutting the remaining fabric and re-​hemming, he just folded it up nicely and sewed the hem. The price was fair and definitely not more what I anticipated. Me thinks this is my go-​to tailor.

Once upon a time long, long ago I purchased a black suit for the purpose of interviewing. I loved the suit pants so, SO much that I devoted myself to dry cleaning them regualrly so that I can wear them, yet keep them matching the jacket in case I should need to wear it. Calling these my favorite pants is an understatement. They fit like gloves with minimal stretch so that they don’t lose thier shape during the day and comfortable.
Well, I lost 30 pounds and they no longer fit. Unwilling to toss them they sat in my closet for a few months until I thought of having them tailored. A couple of coworkers recommended this place and I am so glad that I had them tailored. They fit amazingly again.
You go in and put your item on and they pin it while you’re wearing it. I think the pickup times on clothes vary based on when you need it but I wasn’t in a huge rush (because I’m not Russian) so I picked six days out. I had them taken in all around and the whole job cost $ 26. I say more than worth it but honestly not sure what tailoring usually costs.
Service is friendly and speedy and will be keeping them in mind for future tailoring needs.
