I do not recommend going to this place. The lady who did my nails was very sweet and easy to talk to. However, I walked in with a $ 49 voucher. The appointment was set for a $ 29 shellac manicure and a $ 35 express pedicure. When going to pay, she argued that I owe another 30 for the ped. She said you could not combine specials, although I only had the one for the manicure and only received the expressed pedicure treatment which she tried to get away with calling a «special». After arguing that the appointment was set for what it was, she still wanted the payment. The equipment there is very old. They aren’t real pedicure chairs as she brought in a plastic tub to stick my feet in. It is not a comfortable environment. I recommend spending your money elsewhere. They probably over charge just to be able to pay the rent.

Their manicurists are terrible. I had a mani and pedi yesterday and the paint is already chipping off. My toenails are different lengths and there is still paint on my skin. She did not shape my nails the way I asked. I had to re-do the filing and cuticle work. The foot and hand massage was the worst I’ve ever experienced. It took 2 hours. The facility is nice but the service sucks. I wish I could get my money back and start over at a different salon. DONTWASTEYOIRTIMEORMONEY!

Horrible place. I don’t know why the main Uptown Spa page has a good view. Do not, I repeat, do not buy the Gilt voucher. I’m horrified I even tipped her. Please heed the warning, do not go here!

It’s funny that they hid the other poor review from the main review page, but that person had it spot on and I wish I had heeded her advice before wasting my time and money at this place. I am generally a very laid back person who rarely ever writes complaint reviews. However, knowing that folks are purchasing vouchers for this place, I feel like I have to say something… I had purchased a $ 30 Gilt Groupe voucher online for an Express Mani-Pedi, which is regularly $ 60. $ 30 is absurd for the service provided. It was so bad that I left right after the manicure and sucked up the loss on the pedicure. I actually went somewhere else to get the job done right. My cuticles were never pushed back, no mini massage, no lotion, barely any filing, and a TERRIBLE nail painting job. There was no way the gobs of polish would dry and the cotton from the wipes was just painted over(vs removed) and sticking out. There were no spa chairs like at your typical nail salon. This place just puts your hands and feet in bowls. It was the most basic, five-year-old service and a complete waste of time(hence me leaving after the manicure). If I had known, I would have cleaned up my nails and painted them myself because I do a better job. I can see how people would get lost finding the place. You have to park in the garage and then make it through the halls and up the elevators. Hopefully that means that that many more folks won’t have to waste their money if they can’t find the place. On a positive note, I did go to my usual nail salon. They charged me $ 35 for a mani/pedi and I got my massage, pushed back cuticles, clean nails, and beautiful nail polish.

If I could rate the people here, I would give them a 5… but I’m rating my experience… so it gets a 1. When I called to make my appointment I was rather shocked at how accommodating they were. the establishment closes at 6 p.m. but they were will to take me at 5 p.m. and even give me a little cushion time for travel, which I REALLY appreciated… I got there — to the underground catacomb parking lot of death at city tower and almost had a panic attack trying to get into the building. once inside, I was assisted by a building attendant who directed me to the 3rd floor — as there were no signs. I arrived to smiling faces and cheerful personalities and was escorted back to the nail salon portion on the room. I went in, picked my color of shellac and my color of polish. they don’t have matching OPI shellac, which is not a huge deal, but some of the other brands do not last as long. the room was quite small, but I think that was to make it seem cozy… My fingernails looked great after my manicure put there was a lot of patting with rolled up towels and the wimpiest arm massage of my life… Then onto the pedicure. had I known what I was in for I would have immediately run out screaming… I sat down in the«massage chair» only to turn it on and feel like I was having a seizure… so that was a bust. Next I was prompted to place my feet in a disposable plastic thing of luke warm water. resulting in raisin toes… It was quite possibly the most tedious experience of my life. The music sounded like a mix of Chinese rap and a circus themed horror movie with a pioneer twist… I could hear a work out class in the background. and anytime I put any pressure on the footrest… the entire basin started to tump over… Needless to say I left more stressed than I arrived. I will not be back
