This is like a typical grocery store, I think it’s owned by Safeway now, but I’m not sure. I especially like the produce section, which is very large and clean with a good selection of herbs. The meat section doesn’t have any veal or lamb; you have to go to the Kosher Tom Thumb up on Forest to get that. I like this place, it’s close to home, very convenient, but nothing special. I’ll come back just because of proximity.

BRYSONPOTTER, the Tom Thumb Grocery Manager is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met! I was waiting for a prescription to be filled at Dougherty’s Pharmacy(also a wonderful place) and I bought some corn on the cob, self service checkout. Of course it is very cheap now since it’s in season, and it has no barcode, so I chose one and it was $ 1.00 overpriced. Then I asked Mr. Potter and he chose one, and it again was $ 1.00 overpriced. It was only a $ 1.00 so I checked out. He rushed back and said, yes, we DO owe you a $ 1.00. He went to the service desk to refund it, but I had to rush to Dougherty’s to get my prescription before it closed at 8:00pm. After that, I came back to the store to let Mr. Potter know I appreciated his kindness, he still refunded the dollar(even though I said he didn’t need to) and gave it to me. He refused to keep it, he is so wonderful. The store is very nice, too. One of the smaller Tom Thumbs(I go to the awesomely big one in Addison) but it had everything I needed to make dinner the next day. But Mr. Potter just made my day!
