The Lice Place

They did an excellent job combing through my daughter’s hair. It is a bit costly, but lucky for me my health equity insurance savings card paid for it. I think some insurance will cover it as well. So far so good, no lice anymore. And my daughter now has the special comb and combs through her hair weekly to keep them away even if she did get into contact with them again. She should be lice free for the rest of her teen life. Thank you Lice Place! BTW the nurse at school found out she went here and then double checked her head again. She was very impressed and will recommend this place to others.

We had a wonderful experience at The Lice Place. The salon was spotless and our techs Shauna and Linda made us feel comfortable. They went right to work and took care of the problem in a businesslike and friendly manner. No chemicals. Just careful, meticulous, combing of the hair, strand by strand. No lice since. Such a relief for a Mom who doesn’t have the time or patience!

The staff was super friendly, and made sure my daughter was comfortable with everything they are doing. To find these pesky bugs in my daughter’s hair is horrifying, but they handled it so quickly and efficiently, I’m a happy mom now! No nits, no lice… They even went through two-​three times to make sure there weren’t any left! They even helped me in educating on what to do when it comes to brushing. And best of all, in comparison to other places, they are better for my wallet.

It started out with me and my daughter noticing that her sink had several lice in it, after she had just brushed her hair over the sink while getting ready for school. We kept both our daughters home from school so we could get them both treated. We took them to The Lice Place, and THEY COULD NOT FIND LICE. The lice on my daughter’s head was not fully grown-​they were medium-​sized, light in color. I guess I can see how it would not be as obvious as a full-​blown infestation with adult-​sized, dark lice, but we asked them to go ahead and treat the girls’ hair anyway, since we had personally SEEN the lice, even took a picture of one in the sink with our cell phone and showed it to them. They REFUSED TO TREAT THEIR HAIR. About $ 50 later, my girls walked out of this place, with one of them still scratching her head because of lice. I am on my own in this battle now, and it cost me $ 50 on top of that. I don’t recommend this place unless your child’s head is a crawling nest of full-​grown lice. I am so disappointed… getting rid of lice is frustrating enough, and then to have this establishment turn us away…

Ok, I’m guessing no one’s reviewed this awesome establishment because they’re embarrassed they’ve had lice. I was horrified and disgusted as well when I realized my babysitting charge infected me with them, but by now I have little shame… I got way too used to the pesky lice I kept treating myself and re-​finding a few weeks later. Finally I found the TLS during a Google search I performed minutes before I took a razor to my head in utter frustration, and I am SO GLAD I did!
These women who work here are fast and efficient, and I’m kicking myself for not coming here the first time I noticed lice rather than wasting my time and $$ at the doctor and filling multiple prescriptions and going through the agonizing process of attempting to comb through my whole head myself. UGHHH. (Lice have gotten so strong and immune to even Rx treatment that it’s a total waste to even bother).
They charge $ 95/​hr plus the cost of an amazing lice comb (that you keep) which is about $ 25, but they worked so fast on my thick hair and then didn’t even charge me for the whole two hours! It ended up costing me only $ 140 when they could have easily charged me over $ 200. Being as broke as I am, I really appreciate that! Best of all, of course, is I have NO more lice! And they do a follow-​up check a week later, which is included. Their products are totally safe, too, which is nice. You can buy them to take home, too.
So yeah, if you want to save yourself multiple headaches and a ton of time and frustration, come here the first time you notice lice! They’re professional, friendly, super efficient, and you’ll find it’s an absolute godsend!
