Recently visited this gem in the city for a Unilocal event– had a great time! This place is just the ticket if you’re looking for a getaway from the concrete jungle. There’s a nice volleyball court, bocci ball setup, hammocks, and plenty of space to lounge. And what would uptown be without ubiquitous amounts of alcohol? Ha :) The grapefruit margarita was delish and perfect for this warm afternoon. They have tasty looking food but I didn’t try any. Great service, too. Cool place to hangout with friends and chill.

I just want to start by saying: this place is harder to find than my grandma in a chinese supermarket. Holy bejesus, talk about a well-kept secret. We popped in on a Sunday afternoon, and much to my surprise, this place was dead! I figured there would be a ton of people waiting to kick sand on the courts. No one! I mean it was a nice change of pace, I guess, but if Sunday afternoon 80 degree weather doesn’t bring people in, what are the days that do? Coming in from the sidewalk, The Grove looks like an abandoned and boarded up home. Then, walking around to the back, it turns out they sell food and alcohol out of said home. The backyard is just one fun play area. The guys behind the counter were very helpful. They let us try the margaritas and made wonderful suggestions. We opted out on the adult snowcones this time, but I’ll definitely try them next time. The margaritas are pre-made and STOUT as hell. The food? Absolutely would come back just to have the mother hen panini. The flavors and cheese and crunch of the bread was simply addicting. I just couldn’t believe the space this place has, and it’s very well-kept. There are areas for bocce ball,(beautiful white) sand volleyball, and sturdy hammocks to kick back on. The only thing missing were the flat screens. Football Sundays here would be a no-brainer. A+ for being dog friendly. Love, love, love. xoxo

Good outdoor space to hang out. Dog friendly and plenty of space. Overpriced margaritas but other than that a nice place to hang out with friends in a laid back atmosphere. The sand volleyball and hammocks are a nice addition. Could use about 5 more TV“s for game watching. Not sure what they will do in the winter time.

Hello, Hamptons in Dallas! If your top priority on any given weekend afternoon is a place to day-drink your workweek away, look no further! This place has it all– small bites, beer, wine, cocktails and«adult» snow cones, volleyball, giant jenga, hammocks, misting fans, and bocce-ball. It’s a great place to hang out with your friends AND your pooches. But don’t tell too many people because the parking lot is pretty small. ;) Being here will make you feel like you’ve been transported to the luxury of the Hamptons but without the costly flight to NY. I can’t think of a better way to spend a gorgeous sunny afternoon in Dallas.

I’ve always loved downtown and I especially love the mixture of a historical home being so close to huge high-rises. The owners of this much older home have tastefully kept the nostalgic feel that this home has carried in a centuries time and they have turned it into a beautifully entertaining, outdoor area with a volleyball court and pet friendly outdoor seating to enjoy cocktails and bites. Water mists hang outside to help to cool you down on a hot sunny day.

This place is super cute!!! It’s basically all outdoor seating+2 hammocks+2 volleyball pits+small hut where they prepare the food and drinks. The Grovita is pretty tasty, although the ginger beer is very overpowering so I wouldn’t recommend it if you aren’t a fan of ginger beer. I couldn’t really taste any alcohol in an adult snow cone(they have a list of flavors but you can also create your own) but that’s probably a good thing!

Got a chance to come here via compliments of Unilocal Dallas and have officially added on my list of «go-to» places when I want to enjoy the outdoors. QUICKTIPS: Dog Friendly! They also have Sand Volleyball courts and hammocks! VENUE: Located off Harwood and Wolf? You’ll see it heading toward the tollway on your left. There’s a parking lot in the back but it’s kind of small so look on the small street behind the building if you find yourself circling for a spot. The entire venue is outdoor seating so come when it’s nice and you want to soak up the sun and enjoy the breeze. They have two sand volleyball courts so if you’re the type of person who can’t sit still, this place accommodates that. I’m uncertain if they provide you with balls or if you have to bring your own. I would bring my own just to be safe. They have two hammocks! For those of you who need a hammock when enjoying outside. I had been telling my friends FOREVER that there needs to be a place just has hammocks instead of tables or chairs and this place took a step in the right direction. Ample bench seating around the bar. They also have corn hole stations set up. FOOD/DRINK: Get their signature drink. Just do it. I have no idea what’s in it other than champagne and gingerbeer and a little bit of fruit. They offer a charcuterie trey of sliced meats and cheese. They also serve paninis and hummus and other light foods. I would come more for the drinks and the atmosphere rather than the food. SERVICE: Everyone I interacted with was very nice and helpful. I will definitely return.

This spot is a casual, laid back place hidden from downtown«madness,» but tucked away on the edge of downtown Dallas. The Grove is a beautiful outdoor space with a bar and small kitchen that serves snacks and sandwiches. Besides beer, wine, and cocktails, the bar also serves«adult» snow cones… yes, liquored up snow cones — the perfect summertime treat. There is lots of outdoor seating with tables, as well as a volleyball pit, bocce ball court, bean bag toss area, hammocks, picnic chairs, and plenty of empty grounds to make up your own games. Oh, and The Grove is dog friendly! I only had a cocktail while there, but I’ll be back to try some of their bar snacks, and one of those snow cones. Deep south weather is awesome in late October, so this is going to be my Fall weekend chill out spot. It would also be a nice place to celebrate an event.

This outdoor venue(that I have somehow never noticed!) is nestled betwen the shiny highrises and construction of uptown yet manages to feel like your good friend’s back yard. Your slightly wealthy friend’s backyard. Featuring hammocks, a volleyball court and other fun games spread across the lawn, The Grove comes off a little less«Austin-y»(read: clean & polished) than similar venues, which is a good thing in my book! The bartenders and other service staff are SUPER friendly and the powerful fans and misters will keep you cool in the Texas heat. With a little more shade(Texas Autumn = Everybody else’s Summer) and a slightly expanded food menu, this place would be perfection! Can’t wait to come back and try out the hammocks!

In the heart of Uptown high-rise office buildings lies a grassy hidden oasis sprinkled with white and blue striped picnic tables, bocce ball courts and a sand volleyball pit. Misting fans are distributed throughout to offer a nice cool down during a sunny day, and rumor has it that they are getting flatscreens mounted so you can enjoy football games– making it the ultimate Sunday Funday spot. I have yet to check out their food but I did notice that there are plenty of options like hummus, paninis, cheese plates, ice cream and other snacks and light bites. They also have a variety of wine, beer and a full bar for some refreshing cocktails. Dallas is springing up with lots of dog-friendly adult playgrounds, but the tastefulness in which this location was done really stands out. plus it is hasn’t been too discovered yet. *knock on wood*

Although it was really hot this past Labor Day, we decided to take the dog with us to check out The Grove at Harwood since we were in a casual mood. The place is very casual… shorts and flip flops will definitely suffice. When we got there, we saw different groups of people playing volleyball and some other games; while others were just relaxing on some of the lawn tables. We decided to order two glasses of Chardonnay, along with a cheese tray. Unfortunately, the cheese tray came with big cubes of cheddar and pepper jack cheese with tasteless crackers. I am not sure why any restaurant would offer a cheese tray if they’re just going to serve the two most basic cheeses out there. I eat cheddar cheese and pepperjack cheese on sandwiches. I don’t consider these cheeses to be the types to pair with wine or to eat alone. Needless to say, we barely ate any of it. I do think this place is nice to come to just to hang out or to get into some of their activities. They have a lot of beer options to choose from, a few wine options, and a couple of food options to choose from. I’d like to come back and try one of their panini’s.

So cool and fun. The snow cones were delicious. I am so sad I didn’t get to try the food, but I bet it would have been real good. The decorations were gorgeous. There are tons of games to play with your family like bocce ball and joint Jenga. I would highly recommend coming here with friends and family to have a nice and relaxing time.

Love the venue! I am already planning a future party here! Paninis are simple and tasty, at least the cappo is. Looks like they keep the sand courts in good condition. Bring your own volleyball or be ready to give your id to borrow a volleyball. It is located right by KERA building. I will be back for some volleyball action soon.

If you squint your eyes enough at the blue construction banisters you can see JFK sailing the deep blue sea. Or at least you can eye-candy the hunks playing vball the night I was there hello maverick and goose can I buy you an adult snowcone(see creative menu). Or if that is too creepy I can check into this hammock(see photo) like its a hotel. Nice Cape Codish vibes. This place rules as does Justin my new fav barkeep.

I absolutely adore this place! From sand volleyball courts to bocce ball, hammocks to benches, this is the perfect place if you just want to kick back, relax and have some fun! They offer a limited food menu, with hummus, paninis, fruit cups, etc. sort of lighter fare and great cocktail options. They even have alcoholic snowcones! I could hang out here all day!

A lot to like about the grove. Sand volleyball. Frozen drinks, adult snow cones and outdoor games. Like a poor mans Hamptons in Uptown.

Came for lunch and started with the meat plate. Well it wasn’t on a plate it was in a Tupperware container. lol Very odd. Also the person manning the station seemed stoned. Besides the meat plate this place I can see being a lot of fun at night to play outdoor games and have fun with friends.

Where should you go after work to burn off some steam? The Grove at Harwood! This place has a little something for everyone. Volleyball courts, bag toss, giant Janga and much more! The assistant manager Stephanie makes sure everyone is happy and well taken care of by making rounds and checking on guests. The bar makes drinks quickly and tasting great. The seating areas have giant fans with mist that keep everyone cool from their intense game of bags. There is only a small food menu to choose from with a selection of paninis along with some healthy finger foods. Mostly this is a place to grab some cold margaritas, beers or cocktails and have a great time outdoors while hanging out with friends. This location is great and I feel this place will do very well and I will be back soon, and with more friends.
