I when I walked in with a can soda it was promptly taken and given back to me in a glass with ice. The staff was so attentive and helpful. Food was awesome. Burger was so good. Drinks were spot on and the best part was being Wednesday it was $ 4 for my Old Fashioned and my wife’s Gin Gimlet. It was also $ 4 for drafts and bottle beer! I asked for a Lakewood Temptress. The keg was low so they gave me the beer on the house. I even think their signature cocktails are $ 4. The food was really good for a bar and the atmosphere was a 10+. It’s really, really a great place.

Fun place on nights warm enough to be on the large rooftop, having drinks and watching all the people bar hopping in deep ellum.

I’ve never had a great meal here, yet they charge as if they’re great bar food. Burned food, cold food, slow food, you name it. I’ve given up on it now. The bars are alright though, just don’t order anything special, and their best feature is the roof deck/bar. It’s roomier than a lot of places nearby, so an option if you’re out with a group. I mean, it’s not bad if you’re just out to get a beer and want a skyline view.

As far as bar hopping on foot in Dallas goes, there are 3 prime locations: uptown/McKinney Ave, Lower Greenville, and Deep Ellum. Everything is within a few blocks of one another making it an easy walk and much welcomed exercise after too many drinks, slices of pizza, or ahi tuna towers. The Green Room is fairly large having both a downstairs indoor area and outdoor patio upstairs(with amazing skyline views!). The bartenders are a delight also. Super friendly and once even plugged my friend’s phone into the charger behind the bar when her battery was low. They have jenga you can play(amazing), a decent bar menu, and reasonably priced cocktails. I tried their Berry Blast for $ 6. It had 3 Olives Berry vodka, cranberry juice, and Sprite. It was supposed to include a cherry garnish but I was given lime instead. The flavor was great but they loaded it with way too much ice and not enough drink. I would definitely come back though. It’s a very comfortable vibe with plenty of TVs for catching the game if that’s your thing.

Deep Ellum can be an intimidating place to hang, but this place was as friendly as can be. The knowledgeable wait staff sited us chapter and verse about their menu items, providing intricate details about ingredients and preparation. The food was amazing and the drinks were too. You will love it here.

After a drink at Armoury, we decided to jump across the street to this place and snack on some cheaper, bar food. Fairly swell craft beer selection. We noshed on the trio of salsa, guac and queso. I was expecting crappy, fake cheese queso but I was pleasantly surprised it wasn’t crappy at all! I had a can of PBR and some other light craft beer. My bf got the chili they had on special. A bowl(ish) for $ 4. Not bad! The ancho chicken salad looked hella good, but I wasn’t all that hungry. Our other friend ordered a wrap — the fries were bombdiggity. I hear they have a pretty awesome rooftop patio that we missed out on but will be back! Definitely not the coolest bar to go in Deep Ellum in terms of concept and food choices but worth a stop in for a beer or 2.

Met the friendliest group of guys at this bar. They welcoming us Chicagoans like we had been friends for years. They made it a memorable evening. Great beers and shots as well! Highly recommend.

I went here on a Saturday night and it was popping! Lots of people downstairs and upstairs. The upstairs has an open roof top part and also a covered section where there are pool tables. There was a good mix of people there, everyone seemed to be having a great time. I only had their tap beer so am not able to comment on their drinks/food, but I definitely would like to come back soon!

Fun Place!!! When you first walk in, you have some tables and a large bar. There are plenty of people just hanging out inside and drinking, but we made our way up the stairs to the patio. It was a nice open patio playing hits from the 90’s and I’d say mostly rock, but it was a mix. They have plenty of seating outside, just not enough busers. I wish it were a little cleaner all around and I hated that everyone was smoking everywhere outside. I know that it’s open air I just still hate feeling like a cigarette when I leave a place. Overall, I’d revisit this place. If you are looking for a cool bar to just sit and chill, this is your spot.

I was in town visiting some friends in Dallas and we wanted to check out a few places on a Sunday evening in Deep Ellum. Being a Sunday we didn’t have time to go to too many places and had time for one more place. I was looking for another place and when I peered in I wasn’t into it. Low and behold music was wafting down the street, and it was coming from a rooftop. It was a beautiful evening so I said lets go there instead. We went into the main bar area and headed right up the stairs to the rooftop. It was pretty large. With pool tables on one side and tables and a bar on the other. We grabbed a few drinks and sat along the railing so I could people watch on the street below. It wasn’t very busy at the time, but I can see that this place would be very cool and popular Thursday through Saturday. When we went it was very chill and the musician was very good. Not too loud so you could still talk, but still live music. It was definitely cool and would come back here.

Love the rooftop bar and you cannot bear their fried pickles, tacos and just about anything on the menu. The staff is always friendly and the drinks are strong. We always stop here at least once when we go out

Went here for the first time last night. Not sure why but my card wasn’t working when swiped there, so the bartender had to manually enter it. I went up to order another drink and she says«are you going to order another drink because honestly this is a pain in the ass.» Oh… Ok I thought I was the paying customer? Left this place right after that and my card was swiping just fine everywhere else…

Favorite spot! Rooftop patio is great for drinking and viewing the Dallas skyline. Very relaxed atmosphere. It’s a great place to bring friends from out of town for the first time. Definitely recommend!

Out of the only dessert they serve? WTF? Seriously? Drunk bartender on duty on Sunday afternoon.wow. not sure this was the right visit to judge, as the God of clusterfucks seems to have been laughing at me… I’ll try again, but not soon.

I came here again a few days ago. This time the Oyster mushrooms were actually oyster mushrooms and they were wonderful!(5⁄5) Still don’t like the cocktails very much though. I will be back for the mushrooms. The poutine looked tasty but i did not try it again, yet. — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — – Huckleberry corn dogs– 3⁄5(i had high expectations but in reality these are not much better than a regular frozen corn dog and i bet you $ 100 you can’t taste any huckleberry, that’s for sure. Let me be clear that it does not taste like a regular corn dog but I don’t think it’s much of an improvement, if any at all) Oyster Shrooms– 4⁄5(First off I thought this would be an oyster mushroom but these are simply portabella mushrooms fried as if they were oysters! They were fried flawlessly but had no seasoning therefore very bland) Poutine– 3⁄5(decent flavor but fries not crispy enough and almost no cheese) Atmosphere– 5⁄5(Rooftop view is very enjoyable) Service– 4⁄5(Bartender forced to also be a server so very slow, but not his fault) Cocktails– 3⁄5(Bartender is decent but low quality ingredients make for boring drink)

The Green Room, back in the 90’s, doled out highly rated cuisine for Dallas, and had the reputation as one of the top restaurants in the city. It isn’t anymore. It’s a basic pub now, with cover bands, weak $ 4 you call it’s on the night I went, and a typical bar menu of nachos, and hamburgers. The rooftop view is very nice, the crowd — pretty, and the downstairs homey. It’s all vanilla in a safe inoffensive way, it has a casual air, and hasn’t been infiltrated by douche bags, but still feels like it passed health inspection. I had chips and guacamole with short ribs mixed in and a side of salsa. It worked. The everyman staff is a little rough and friendly with both a hardworking efficiency and a charming scatterbrained ineffectiveness. Go for a casual drink on the rooftop patio. You should have plenty of room during the week.

Cool place! Great food! Cold beer! Has a great roof top patio. And sometimes they have bands up there. Great Rock Star photos on the walls. Fun & friendly staff. Magic Mushroom burger & fries… Highly recommended!

I’ve been here a few times during the week and the food, live music and bartenders made me want to become a regular. I’m not as big of fan of weekends, simply for the different crowd that seems to congregate there, On one particular Saturday night I went(birthday barhopping and hunger struck), the crowd seemed pretty douchey… I got the feeling that the covered rooftop deck is where sorority girls and frat bros go when they feel«rebellious» on the weekends… Bottle blondes in designer jeans and cowl-neck sweaters, beer bottles in elevated hands, bouncing to Megadeth in the exact same fashion as if their favorite new Taylor Swift song came on. Top it off with absent service after we ordered at the bar, and an extremely weak drink, and it really made me question our choice to come here. I was really glad to gtfo of there that night. That said, its redeeming qualities shine through on Wednesday nights, when they have live music by Jes Spires on the rooftop(as well as by other talented local artists including Justin Pickard and Smokin’ Rita). The crowd is more of a local Deep Ellum crowd with a few friendly visitors here and there. The bartenders are much friendlier(maybe it’s because it’s a better and smaller overall crowd — who knows?) and they’ve managed to pour good drinks(measured, but an appropriate strength). The short rib poutine is among the most delicious heart attack inducers you’ll try, and the huckleberry corn dogs and onion rings rock as well. Their patio heaters are warm enough that we all were shedding layers, even though the outside temps were around 30 degrees. If every night were like Wednesday nights at the Green Room, I’d probably give it the full 5 stars.

Fantastic bar with an awesome rooftop patio! We visited The Green Room for a friend’s birthday and we now believe this is our spring hangout spot. Very chill, fun vibe, and we enjoyed all the entertainment. Absolutely loved the sets of giant jenga! I did not participate in the drinking fun, but everyone enjoyed their drinks & prices. I did try out their menu. It’s got some traditional bar nibbles and some fun ones too. Nothing spectacular but I do think the Huckleberry Corndogs are worth a try. Interesting and tasty. Service was awesome here! They were quick and friendly. Great staff, good food, and fun times at The Green Room!

Sinatra on the roof top. Oh yeah. Unfortunately that’s only happened once for me. This place is more favorable for heavy metal. Not the best beer and wells deals. $ 11.50 for a shot and a Lone Star is ridiculous. Come one guys. I like coming here on a nice night or afternoon and chiling on the rooftop. These guys have the best rooftop in DE. It is big and has a pool table and a large screen projector. As for the food, I tried the mini corn dogs. Totally didn’t do it for me. The staff are super friendly and cool. Just hanging out chatting is cool in itself. They also have the most bad ass wooden bar I’ve seen yet. Apparently it is an original that was shipped from Europe in early 1900’s and purchased out of New Orleans? I think this place is more focused on their food, which a lot of people really like. They have a decent menu, but, the only thing I’ve tried are the corn dogs. As I said these little wieners didn’t do it for me, but, the salad that was in the center was pretty dang tasty. I would definitely be willing to sample more of their menu. This place could easily become most popular spot in Deep Ellum. It has all the right ingredients: bar, kitchen, friendly owner and staff, and, one bad ass rooftop. Sunday funday brunch with live music(something other than heavy metal [more like jazz or blues]) would be really cool. Especially on the roof.

One of the best bars in Deep Ellum. I would say Wits End has the best patios, but what makes the green room 10x better is the staff. Keep up the good job Green Room.

It took me long enough to come back and try the food! I went the other night with some friends. I ordered the mini huckleberry corndogs that came with a salad mix on the plate and drizzled in honey mustard. I loved these corndogs more than any corndog on this planet. Found out they had run out of huckleberry’s, though, so whomp. But that’s incentive to come back! One of my friends ordered the blacktooth burger with some sort of slaw on it, and I got a bite of it. It’s a pretty tasty burger. I have to say to the two bartenders working were some of the friendliest I’ve encountered in a long time. I need to make a point to keep this place in my rotation.
