This is a really great festival. They are going through some growing pains but I think they will continue to get bigger and better. First of all, Veggie Fair is very much geared towards vegans and specifically vegans who do it for the animals. There’s a little bit of healthy living stuff and information on vegetables, but for the most part it is information in animal rescues, fair treatment of animals and cruelty free products. The growing pains are that there were definitely more people attending than vendors to accommodate them. Lines for food were extremely long, especially for one group that had the brilliant idea to sell vegan fair food. Corn dogs, fried Coke, funnel cake. It looked killer but the line was just too long. It was so popular they should consider adding another booth. The other vendors were a mix of educational booths on animal treatment and rescue, as well as people selling vegan products. My wife was particularly excited about the lady selling vegan cowboy boots. Overall, this was a great little festival that could probably benefit from adding a few vendors and maybe going an additional day. They also definitely need to add better signage from the Katy Trail. There were several confused people that missed the turn off the trail. Just out a sign where people can see it better and then throw an arrow on pointing to where people should go. I’ll definitely check it out again next year, hopefully it’ll be bigger and better.

In terms of set up they do a great job, but this is far from a veggie fair it’s more a dog rescue/T-shirt sales fair. I’m a dietary vegan(meaning it’s just a diet thing for me) I’ll have a cheat day or two a month and usually never meat. Anyway I was hoping to see more local farmer booths and more great veggies! There was two booths with actual veggies. It’s a free fair and easy to walk. Again great job setting up and very clean also dog friendly. They may want to rename it the dog fair and we have vegan T-shirts too fair:/
