Went out to KWP today and was excited to try this truck out. I ordered the maverick salad, but was not impressed. There was hardly any chicken on the salad. It was basically lettuce and a ton of black beans. The avocados were fresh, and the dressing was ok, but I just wasn’t happy about paying ten bucks for a tiny salad that consisted of 98% lettuce and black beans. Pretty sure I won’t go back to this one.

Had their Bevo today. It’s ok. Nothing that screams to me «gotta come back for more»

This food is amazing… These guys had a huge line and only three people… Every one was talking about their food… Really nice people…

they are unreliable. they have no business skills. they are never where they say they are going to be and when they are they run out of food with in an hour. no phone number to contact them! no prices on the menu. the food is good but whats the point if you can never find them!!!

This truck seemed like a decent concept, but it is overpriced and their unnecessary, overly-restrictive rules completely ruin the experience. When I visited, they were out of flour tortillas(which they use for 4 of the 5 burritos they sell), which isn’t unexpected, but they refused to serve it in their wheat tortilla because of their«no substitutions» policy. This meant getting a bowl or skipping half the menu, which is idiotic for a truck with a stock of wheat tortillas on hand. This is a pointless policy and I should have just walked away with my $ 10. And despite the menu suggesting you have the choice to «combo it» with their smaller tacos, this is deceptively worded, as the«combo» is the only way the tacos are sold. This means they only let you purchase tacos in multiples of two, which makes absolutely no sense. 3 tacos is a good amount of food for me; I shouldn’t be forced to go hungry or drop $ 18 to buy four of them. It doesn’t matter how good your food is if you restrict what customers can order unnecessarily. The food itself was unremarkable and difficult to eat. The one burrito they would sell was served covered in sauce in a metal tin. However, the truck didn’t have knives, and the fork provided was incredibly cheap and flimsy. It was too messy to pick up with your hands, and the chewy tortilla was difficult to cut even once we found a knife at a neighboring truck. Furthermore, the prices are too high for what you get. It costs $ 10 for a burrito that is half the size of what you can get at Chipotle for $ 7 and $ 9 for two tacos that were rather tiny. I was very disappointed in Texas Burrito Company, and I expected better from the owners of great trucks like The Butcher’s Son and What’s Da Scoop. Save your money and keep walking if you see Texas Burrito Company around; it’s just not worth it.

The Maverick Salad has a lot of potential, but unrinsed black beans made the lettuce soggy with bean goo, and the dressing, while delicious, wasn’t creamy enough to help hold everything together for the perfect bite. The metal tin it was served in was also a little unappetizing, a plastic bowl would look more appealing. I’d definitely try this food truck again but probably wouldn’t order this salad.

Caught these guys at the Food Truck park off Greenville and was really impressed at the portion size and the sheer deliciousness of the Amarillo by Morning which was the right amount of spicy and absolutely delicious. I loved that I got one of those little light up coasters to know when my order was ready so I didn’t have to stand in the crowd waiting for a taco and could hang out with my friends until my order was ready. Taco? Delicious. Staff? Awesome. Price? Totally reasonable.

Meh, I tried them when we’re in Bluffview recently. Seems like the menu is Chipotle lIke which I liked. But damn they are slow and the burritos which had great flavor were too damn ‘wet’ to eat. They were like a wet diaper they were so saturated. But I will go back and try the tacos, hoping for better.

There’s been a regular rotation of food trucks where I work at in Las Colinas so I’ve been giving each of them a try as they’ve come along. I can’t say I was particularly enthusiastic about a Tex-Mex truck, but they have a good number of interesting options on their menu(Sriracha-lime sauce, goat cheese, roasted garlic, and other different ingredients). I ordered the Amarillo by Morning burrito and it was a good sized burrito that was maybe 85% the size of a Chipotle burrito. The chicken and the overall burrito was pretty flavorful, but I couldn’t taste the roasted garlic and it was a bit dry overall if not for the tomatillo sauce and sour cream. I think all the signature burritos are all covered in sauce or cheese so you’ll have to use a knife and fork for them. One of my co-workers got the tacos and they looked pretty massive. Individually the tacos were 4 something a piece(which is a bit crazy to be honest), but if you get a combo of 3 tacos, it drops to like $ 10.38(I remembered this number for some reason). He especially loved the ATX and the flavor contrast from the goat cheese for what it’s worth. The largest negative about this place is the wait. I’m not sure if they need to streamline the inside of the truck or what, but it took 20 minutes for three of my coworkers and me to get our food. I can understand those wait times at a sit down restaurant, but tacos and burritos shouldn’t take that long unless they’re straight up making everything from scratch. The wait was long enough that I saw a number of people abandon the line, which couldn’t have made them happy to see. The truck itself looks like a top of the line food truck. Just peering from outside, you could see that the inside was almost completely stainless steel and looked pretty spotless. I think they’ve done an amazing job in getting everything set up for their business, but the slow execution and the fact that Tex-Mex is already so pervasive in the area seems a bit of a head scratcher. Given my experience, I probably wouldn’t come here again unless reviews start popping up saying that service times have greatly improved. The food isn’t amazing enough to warrant such a long wait time.

I try to support food trucks that come out to the ‘burbs, but I wouldn’t go seek this one out. They parked in the parking lot of the Tower 909 building in Las Colinas, so I went downstairs and tried them out. I had the Rio Grande burrito and grilled corn. The burrito was huge and filled with black beans, white rice(I had asked for brown rice, but no biggie), carnitas(good flavor, not very tender), cilantro and topped with green chile sauce. The grilled corn was covered in a feta-like cheese and a sauce of some type. The burrito was okay but nothing great, the corn was not to my liking at all. I invite you to support food trucks, including this one, but I will be passing by Texas Burrito Company’s truck in the future.

We were invited to an event last night for the newest food truck. It was delicious. Was able to sample(or sneak a bite from friends) and was impressed. My favorite was the Hanger 9. My husband and one son liked the Southfork. Will definitely track down this truck when we are in the area.
