Texans Credit Union

I’ve been a member for almost 3 years now and I’ve gotta say, they do need to work on hiring better people. This location was just the crème de la crème of horrible customer service in all Texans’ locations.
On occasion, I do receive good customer service at the locations close to home (e.g. Campbell, Garland and Wylie branches). Then again, I don’t need someone throwing sunshine and sprinkles at me whenever I walk in. A nice ‘Wassup’ is fine. Acknowledge me. When I found out there was a Texans location just a mile away from where I work in the design district, I was pleased.
The first time I arrived at this particular location was during my lunch and there was only one person ahead of me. The lady that helps us behaves as if we’re inconveniencing her the entire time. Finally I caught a glimpse of what was happening (having to answer phones, help us, and help the drive-​thru people, all while there were 3 other associates just dilly-​dallying around), I understood. Pass.
Round 2. Same lady, was a bit more personable. Got me out the door in 5 minutes, which was great as I still needed to grab lunch. Yay!
Round 3. Same lady. Getting tired of having to tell her my bajillion digit Member number, I decided it’d be smart to just write it on my paycheck underneath my signature. It seemed to have helped the process. I’m not kidding, she did the transaction in 2 minutes. She didn’t bother to confirm that the money was going in so-and-so’s account. Just threw my money into my account (hopefully!) and that was that. Then I remembered I needed cash, so I asked her and then she did something that terrified me: SHE DIDN’T EVEN ASK FOR MY ID!
Perhaps she already knew who I was and didn’t bother, but still… what if I was my evil twin sister or someone that looked like me?
After giving me my money, she walked off. Not even a ‘Have a nice day’. Just walked off. I started looking for a manager or someone else… nothing.
I go to my car and had my husband check and see if the money did go into our account. It did. We were fine. But still. Not cool, lady!
The only reason I bank here is because their site is easy to use, for me. I don’t need all the junk I’ve seen on other sites. Yes, it’s useful to know what you’re spending on and seeing a nice chart for it… but I DON’T NEED that. I just want to know how much money I have. Texans’ site is simple and gives me that information. I also love Texans because if I lose my card (which happens more than once), I give them a quick call to deactivate my lost card (BTW their phone customer service is GREAT! Why not stick those people out there?) and they can whip another one out for me, right there in their Wylie or Campbell location. No having to wait 3 days for a new one to arrive.
Texans suits my needs, but as I started out, they can definitely try to find some nicer, personable representatives.
