We tried the lunch buffet, and I was surprised by how good it was. The buffet offers two fresh salad options, 3 or 4 veggie options, two soups, grilled chicken, gyro, dips, baked fish, and several other dishes. Overall, we were impressed by the quality and taste, and we will definitely be back! The service was also great.

I’ve been here for lunch twice and it was great both times. The vegetables are always fresh and the service is fantastic. Plus, it might be the best Mediterranean lunch deal in Dallas at $ 9.99 for all you can eat. The hummus, fish, falafel and potatoes are delicious!

Taza is one our very favorite Mediterranean restaurants! The hummus is a must and the tabouli is perfection! Everything is so fresh and the presentation of the buffet makes you want a little of everything! Try the gyro meat and chicken. You won’t be disappointed!

GROUPONHOLDERSBEWARE. Well i discovered and tried to check out this place but it just wasn’t that great to me. the lentils werent great and meat selection wasn’t abundant. i went with my groupon 50 worth for 4 people, and the«new» manager stated he «thought» the deal was only for 1 person but after some bargaining i pushed for two. so i had to pay full price for 2 people on top of arleady having paid for the groupon. it just seems to be like a bait and switch event and i wasn’t happy about it. and even more angry after seeing what a small buffet selection there was, compared to say golden or other mainstream buffet places while almost charging similar prices. the only thing i really liked was the fish though. So a warning to any groupon holders that decide to go to this place. be aware of the possible bait and switch.

This place gets 5 stars because you get all you can eat Mediterranean, and the food is actually good! Tabouleh, hummus, salad, rice, potatoes, gyro meat, fish, etc. Fresh and authentic.

Good place for Med ood. Very good selection of food on the buffet. It is hard to get to with all the traffic. Very pleasant once you are there. Prices sre very reasonable. Recommended.

Let’s be honest. I’m a huge fanatic for Mediterranean food, especially hummus and fresh gluten free pita bread. Groupon is how I came across Taza, and the reviews on seemed very decent, plus it was a great deal. My overall experience was ok. Why you may ask? Well the food didn’t meet my tastebuds satisfaction. You can tell everything was fresh from the kitchen but, it just tasted bland to me. On the other hand my friend seemed to have loved it but he is a carnivore and I’m a pescatarian. The staff was nice(all family related) and seemed happy to be working together. The review is based off their buffet, and nothing more. There regular menu I have not tried, so that might be 4 or maybe a 5 star rating.

I’m quite torn on this one. In this case there should be two different star ratings 1 for the food, which was really more like a four or five and one for the restaurant itself and the service was really was more like 2 or 3. There’s not a lot of selection on the buffet but what was there was really good. I went at prime time lunch time around 12:30−1 o’clock and it took a while for the server to bring me my drink. there was only about four or five other tables in the restaurant at the time so I would have expected it to be quicker. For the money I may go again if I was in a pinch but they need to revamp the setup — the buffet was almost too tall to reach… the sneeze guard was pointless considering it’s right at eye level with the food.

Went for the lunch buffet & was definitely NOT disappointed! They had a great variety & for people who have never had this kind of food that was a BIG bonus! Everything I had was delicious & made me want more Mediterranean food in the future! Highly recommend this place!

We had not been here since the name change and it was great! They changed the pitas and they were incredibly tasty and light paired with the always delicious hummus. We thoroughly enjoyed the dolma’s and gyros as well as a very fresh salad. A little slow with refills but very friendly staff and well stocked buffet with good choices. We will be back.

I hate to give this place such a low rating because it has the potential to be awesome, but my last dining experience lead me to this review. I hate to say it but when you are a restaurant in Texas you have to be awesome because we have so many options I want you to win me back like many other places have. To start as many other Unilocalers have mentioned the fresh hot pitas are to die for, and they are 100% correct! If you get the buffet the pitas and hummus could serve as a meal in itself! Although this experience left me a little grossed out… The buffet looked great from a distance but as you walked closer I noticed even though the fruit was covered in plastic, the entire fruit display was filled with fruit flies. That was something that I could not look past… So I mainly stuck to the pitas and hummus, the meat was okay, but the dessert(the sweet rice) and salad was awesome!!! The waiter was attentive at first, but I think since he was the waiter, the cashier, and the cook he couldn’t really keep up with it all. This place has great potential, but needs to get rid of the fruit flies and hire a second person.

My brother and I thrive on anything made between Greece and Iran across the entire Middle East. All we can say is, this place will leave you drooling for more! We were in a hurry but incredibly hungry — quite the predicament when wanting all-you-can-eat. What to do? Well, no problem here. Just put as much as you can fit into a to-go box and off you go. We fit so much in one box we were still stuffed. Typically, we like to over-eat, so we also got a falafel sandwich, which was de-licious. *smack*. This might sound like an endorsement, but I swear to you all it is not. We love this place. Clean, fresh, delicious, healthy, and a great value for this part of Dallas. Highly recommend!

Had lunch today off the buffet with a friend who swears by Taza Grill. It was so very good. Great tabbouleh, babaganoush, hummus, gyro meat was tender and tasty, falafel was yummy. As much soft pita available as you want. The only thing missing was lemon and olive oil available at the buffet or at the tables. Also, wish there had been more vegetable choices, not just salads. Will definitely go back!

Food: I’ve been twice now so I feel like I have a decent perspective of the food, etc. it’s basic food, plain and simple. There’s salad, tabbouleh, gyro, chicken legs, hummus, pita, etc. For the price, it’s fine. Nothing that I’d crave in the future, but fine. Also, they ran out of feta cheese. Seriously? Isn’t that a staple? Alcohol: although some other reviewer said it was a BYOB and we brought some drinks accordingly, we were immediately approached by the waiter who told us that they do not allow alcohol in the establishment as the owner is Muslim and does not approve. Just a good tip in case you decide to repeat our mistake. Service: very nice, but not super attentive. We ordered a kebab when we went but 25 – 30 minutes later I approached the counter to ask when it would be ready. I’m not sure if it was a slight language barrier, but he said they made them fresh to order and it takes about 20 minutes. I said okay, so does that mean it’s coming out now? He said no 20 minutes. I canceled the kebab since we were almost finished. Overall. I really, really wanted to like this place, which is why image. It a 2nd try, but in won’t likely be returning.

$ 9.99 lunch buffet. Awesome. Fresh. Tasty. Large variety of meat. Large variety of salads. Excellent hummus and babaganoush. Hot pita served at the table. Iced tea was served with about 2 ice cubes. I don’t know why. Young server was doing her best… she needs some practice… but she was very kind and attentive — everyone has a first job sometime!

We stumbled upon the Taza Grill in search of a quick spot to eat for lunch. Gluttony quickly ensued. Once you enter the door for lunch, you are immediately in line for the buffet. Starting with salads, going to the falafel, vegetables, meats, and ending with a plethora of breads and chips. everyone will find something that they like. I myself loaded up on falafel, baba ganoush, hummus and bread. The food was cooked perfectly, which was the cause of my gluttonous eating. The falafel was crispy on the outside and so light on the inside with a nice fresh flavor. The hummus was so smooth and creamy, and the baba ganoush had the perfect smooth texture and that nice smoky taste. They have fresh pita bread coming out of the oven every few minutes, and even if you don’t get it your first time down the buffet, they are real good about bringing a lot out to the tables and offer it to you while you eat. The staff was excellent as well. They were always there filling up our glasses and keeping our bread basket full… real great service. I went back to the buffet way too much, but that was because the food was fresh and good! It won’t be the last time that I take a walk to the buffet, I will definitely be back!

Don’t overlook this gem for Mediterranean food because it’s locked away in a strip shopping center near Tuesday Morning and the hell of LBJ Freeway. And don’t let the steam tables on the buffet fool you. The food is immaculately fresh, perfectly seasoned, and plentiful. Fantastic, healthy and delicious!

I want to love this place, but I think it was actually better before, as Café Greek. I went out of my way to come here today and discovered they have changed names and remodeled. I love a good lunch buffet. Ali Baba in Dallas is the holy grail of Mediterranean lunch buffets. This one is good, but not great. But the people here clearly care, and they’re trying hard. So here’s where I find the hits and misses: Greatness: Falafel was fresh, crispy and tasty. Perfect. Fresh baked pita delivered to your table. Hummus is perfect. Green salads are fresh and delicious. Included rice pudding for dessert. Friendly service. Areas for improvement: Potatoes are cold and fried long ago. Not good. Tomato soup is quite bland, likely from a can. Chicken is legs only. Pita was some odd artificial-buttery flavor. Please bring back the jalapeño relish. Perfect on your hummus. Ambiance. Lighting is dark and depressing. No music. It’s not a super popular spot, so the mood is definitely a little odd. Overall I’d come back, but wouldn’t make another special trip for it.

Haven’t been here in s couple of years and was blown away with the new lunch buffet. The pita served at the table was HOT out of oven. Wife LOVED the coconut pudding desert. Waiters had such a hospitable spirit without being pushy. I won’t so long to come back.

Fair falafel and Mediterranean fare. Nice pita bread. Perhaps it was because it was a Monday night but the service was really bad– only 1 guy bussing tables, seating folks, and bringing out food. He had some language difficulties, Forgot multiple items, and pretty much pulled a bait and switch– posted $ 9 platter no longer available however a higher priced platter with the exact same items was available for more $. Whatever. No salad dressing with the salad? Not enough plates? No soap in the bathroom? This last issue persisted despite our notifying him. Hopefully things will improve. Otherwise it might be a good place for takeout only.

I used to go here when it was Café Greek. The food was good then and it is still excellent as Taza Grill. For a $ 9.99 buffet, the selection is wonderful and everything is so incredibly fresh! The service is excellent as well. Definitely will go again. Great job Taza Grill!
