Taco Cabana

Don’t use the drive thru unless you wanna drive thru again when you get home and you are missing items you paid for.
This isn’t the first time but the last time we are ordering from this location.

Great and friendly service. Delicious and reasonably priced food. Clean environment.
Only issue is service inside takes longer. If you’re in a hurry, use the drive-​thru.

This place is great ESP for fast food
House-​made flour tortillas are the BOMB. So fluffy.
The salsa bar is awesome too
Got the steak fajitas taco plate and a soft drink for under 10bucks not a bad deal and
I couldn’t even finish it all
Some locations have beer and margs but I don’t think this one does
They have a good soda selection
They even have diet Dr Pepper
So Texan! Lol

I’ve eaten at this location a ton (ie dozens and dozens of times). Mostly because I eat late at night or early in the morning when not much is open. I have never had an issue with the food here. It has always been good and fresh.
Keep in mind most people only review fast food joints when they have a negative experience. Negative experiences happen at fast food joints and Taco Cabana isn’t the most operationally efficient place in general so it doesn’t shock me when someone posts that they didn’t get an item. Anytime I go to any Taco Cabana I always look at my items to ensure I got the correct order. At this location they have forgotten my guacamole when I’ve ordered a taco plate. It hasn’t happened much but that sort of thing does happen at Taco Cabana (probably due to a massive menu and low paid workforce). It was no big deal because i caught it each time. Also, I’ve been on the positive end where they have given me my extra tortillas without charging me.
What blows my mind is how dead this place is at night. If you come here at 2am on a Saturday Night which is prime time for drunks to get some munchies, there may be 1 car in the drive-​thru at most. What’s mind blowing about this is that there will be 8+ cars at the whataburger less than a block away on the same service road (negative review forthcoming on that place).
BTW, at Taco Cabana the level of service you receive is highly dependent on the crew working there. This location has had a lot of turnover in the past year so some of the negative reviews about service may not be valid. What I will say is that the late night crew is very good and I don’t have issues with them.
In terms of the food, it’s really good for fast food. Fresh tortillas, mutliple salsa choices, great bean and cheese tacos, good barbacoa tacos. I tend to avoid steak tacos at TC these days albeit I did have a couple steak and egg tacos that were really good and reminded me of the days when I used to always love to get the steak fajita plate (those days are long gone though. perhaps it varies greatly based on how it is prepared).

I’d give this 0 stars if I could. After a long day at the State Fair the kids wanted something quick so they had time to swim at the hotel. TC is quick, right? WRONG!
Not only did we wait a ridiculously long time for our food it wasn’t even right. The guy that took our order told me the only difference between the bean & cheese nachos and super nachos was, and I quote, refried beans. Okay, so are there beans on the bean & cheese? Yes. Then what’s the difference exactly? Refried beans with the deer in the headlights look.
I decide to not order anything. While waiting, and waiting, and waiting for my family’s food to come I notice the receipt doesn’t even have what they ordered on it. I told a different guy and he said he’d get the manager for me. Waited and waited for said manager who never came out but some time later our food is finally ready.
While I wait for them to eat I decide to get some salsa from the «fresh» salsa bar as there are plenty of chips for me to just snack on. I quote «fresh» because it’s clear that besides several sections being completely empty the salsa that IS there is anything but fresh. The pico de gallo might as well be salsa because the one container left was soaking wet with watery mess.
In the meantime I noticed others who ordered before us are still waiting for their food and by other I mean one table with 5 people. ONE TABLE. There are no cars in the drive-​thru and only 2 tables of patrons inside yet they still took over 15min to get food out! We could’ve gotten Chuy’s faster than this!
By now I’m hungry and I realize my options close to the hotel are limited. I decided to order something now that they’ve assigned someone else to the register. I asked for the super nachos with shredded cheese instead of queso (I’d tried the queso that came with my husband’s combo and didn’t like it). The girl asked «beef or chicken fajitas on that?» I said chicken. I wait a good 10min, maybe longer, and my food comes out. Wrong. I walked up to the front with my receipt and a woman dressed in street clothes asks if it’s okay. I told her no, not only does it not have any chicken fajitas on it, it has queso instead of shredded cheese. She told me it had chicken on it. Okay, but it’s shredded and my receipt said fajita. She told me she’d remake it. Two minutes later a guy brings out my nachos and yep, you guessed it. They’re still not right.
By this point I’m done. I’m starving but my family finished eating long ago. The kids are begging to leave because it’s so cold inside of this place it feels like we’re in Alaska.
I walked over, threw away the plate of (incorrect for the 2^nd time) nachos and we left. Thank goodness we don’t live here and can visit the TC back home where they’ll get it right and get it fast.

I had to work late at work so I decided to go across the street to Taco Cabana for dinner bad idea. I knew when I saw no cars at the place I should not go in. But I like Taco Cabana so went in what a mistake. The service was fine got waited on right away. The problem was the food I went with a combo plate a little of everything. The food must have been sitting in the back waiting to be plated up. The food was not fresh the beans were thick and dry. The rice was sticky and cold. The tortillas were cold and chewy. I had a very bad experience and should have taken the food back but I didn’t.
I know Taco Cabana can do better but this store has a long way to go to be better. I know it was late on a Tuesday but the food should still be hot, fresh, and tasty. I will probably never go back to this store. I will stick with the ones that do a better job.

Sick as a dog right now. Ate there late last night before checking in to hotel. Chicken was cold and tasted funky. Shoulda trusted my instinct not to eat it. Everything tasted disgusting including the queso and the chips themselves.

This place was down the street from the hotel and offers a wider menu that chipotle. It’s ok. Not great, but ok.

This place has the worst customer service. When we were ordering our food the employee asked if we wanted chips and queso, I said no we want the rice and beans. Once the order was ready I doubled checked if everything was in there and she put chips and queso instead of the rice and beans. When I told her that this wasn’t my order she yanked the bag and smacked her lips at me. That is not good customer service. I highly doubt I’ll go to this taco cabana again.

Ordered a chicken fajita taco bowl & the chicken was disgusting. Couldn’t even get through a small bite of it. When I dug deeper I thought the bowl had steak in it but then I realized it was OLD chicken, which also happened to be cooler than room temp. Clearly had been sitting out for a while. Rather than risk getting sick, I just tossed the whole thing in the trash. This place doesn’t come off as the most sanitary & I’ve certainly been to better Taco Cabanas. Avoid this place like the bubonic plague!!!

Seriously in the realm of fast food taco joints this place is the bomb. We came from NJ to see the Cowboys play and went here the night before the game. We were shocked at the quality and also the relative authenticity of the menu. All we have is taco bell and thats basically American food. This place had flautas and real quesadillas and nice hefty burritos. We got the previous two plus a salad and it was all awesome and the same price as the same amount of food from taco bell. We recommend.

They forgot to give me my chips, but still charged me. my dad even asked the guy if the chips were in the bag and he just nodded and told us to have a good night. now I got all this guacamole and no chips. sad day :-(

Always love taco cabana and didnt know we had one so close. This location has the best employees they are always fast, friendly and helpful.
