I love Taco Bell as much as the next guy, but this is one of the worst– run stores I’ve seen. Slow and disorganized. I’d rather spend my time and money elsewhere.

Service so slow people asked for refunds to avoid missing their flight. Staff in back acted like they liked watching travelers stress about missing their flights. Cashier was friendly and helpful.

I don’t understand how this Taco Bell has 4 stars while Urban Taco, just a few gates away in the same terminal) gets 3.75! Taco Bells are generally franchises, and I’m convinced this is one of the worst run in the Taco Kingdom. The service, I want to begin with, was congenial and nice, but when I went to orde two tacos frescos, the cashier politely apologized that they were out of pico de gallo, lettuce and beans. WHATELSEGOESINTO A TACO? Meat, obviously, but how awful is your logistical planning that you don’t have ¾ of the ingredients to make 90% of the dishes on your menu. Get it together! I high tailed myself and my carryon and wheeled to Urban Taco, where the service was admittedly not as polished, but they had what their menu promised, and some authentic Mexican horchata which was really delish. Probably a million calories, but really great. This Taco Bell needs some Taco TLC to get it up to par.

Taco Bell. It seems that I have eaten at a TB at least three times in the last month. That is because the organization does a good job of maintaining consistency across its locations and really caters to vegetarians by allowing customers to substitute beans for beef in EVERY dish. I really love that. So why 2 stars? Keep reading. I went to the TB in DFW before my flight. The TB there is like… an «open air concept» restaurant(sorry I’ve been watching too much HGTV) in that you can literally watch someone prepare your food. The cashier was very sweet. She seemed overwhelmed(possibly by her coworker), but was really trying to accomodate everyone. I ordered my usual… the crunchwrap supreme(referred to as CWS herein) with no beef sub beans. I ordered my food and started waiting for it to be prepared. I could see the girl starting to prepare my order(literally was standing 10 feet from her) and she pulled out a tortilla. I’m not sure what TB’s protocol is for preparing veggie CWS vs. beef CWS, but apparently they use different tortillas. The cashier corrected her and told her to use a different tortilla. ALLOF A SUDDEN the girl raised her voice and says«why do all these dumb ass people have to order their food without meat in it?» and then violently throws the tortilla on the floor. Um…okay. So yeah… end of story, that is why this place gets 2 stars. The food was actually tasty, the poor cashier was sweet, but I’ve never felt so disrespected by someone. End of story.

This is seriously the best Taco Bell I’ve ever had. Ever. Lettuce and tomatoes were super crisp and fresh, and the tacos were generously stuffed. I’m still a bit surprised to find this in an airport!

Something about Taco Bell is so bad and so good at the same time. It’s far from good quality Mexican food. But it’s Mexican fast food at it’s best at the same time. I have a few staple items I tend to always get. My favorite is a Chicken Chalupa Supreme. I load it up with their Fire Hot Sauce. Don’t be fooled by the name. It’s not that hot, but it has a little kick and is very tasty. I also liked a Chicken Grilled Stuffed Burrito from time to time. Like the Chalupa, I load it up with Fire Hot Sauce.

I rarely eat at Taco Bell… but if you have to, this place is always a hit before I catch my flight out of DFW! The guy who stuffed the tacos on Jan 16, 2012 but an hefty amount of meat in them. Hurry before they fire him or promote him out of this place. Enjoy! :)
